There's a far greater chance we would get a statue of a bloody elephant outside the ground, than one of Banksy.

How long have we been on a downward trajectory?

I remember posting in the match thread, that if ever there was a case for a manager to be sacked during a match, this is it. -
Myself and a couple of mates, decided to carry out a survey of vehicles that travelled down our road. We planned to jot down the type, make, model and colour. After half an hour only the one car had gone by, so we gave up. I remember wishing at the time, that we lived on a busier road. Must have been mad.

From the days when a bloody big hole in the road might have just the one barrier covering part of it and only one or two of these, dimly warning you to be careful. A time when you were more responsible for your own safety and to watch where you are going.

There was a book shop just to the left of that photo, that had a sign in their window claiming they had a search system for out of print books. This was pre internet days so was quite a bold claim and I thought could help me search for such an out of print volume I was after. I went in, and asked the chap behind the counter and he thought a moment and said, 'Have you tried Waterstones? I had. 'How about W H Smiths? Yup tried there too. He said, 'Sorry then, I can't help you'. Some bloody search system.

Where I worked, I could never understand why shop floor workers had to clock in, yet the office staff didn't. Also, the pay disparity. I often asked why those who merely talked about the job, got paid more than those who actually did the job.

Time to view this again, Jim Jeffrey's comedy routine on the subject.

On the subject of 'experts', my brother-in-law bought a TV from Currys - I know, I know, mistake No1. He needed a hand setting it up as he's not at all 'techie'. Well, the process defeated me too. Nevermind, I thought, I've seen their TV ads that portray their 'Techsperts'. I called them. After confirming the model No and that we had completed the set-up, I explained that I couldn't discover how to access Freeview channels from the homescreen. This was a video call so I could see the annoying little scroats grin on his face, as he explained that this is a 'Freely' TV which doesn't require an aerial as all the channels are streamed via your Internet connection. I said I was aware of that, but it has a built-in DVD-T (Freeview) tuner too. It doesn't sir, he insisted. His smirk becoming wider. Why then, I asked, does it have a antenna socket on the back and scans for Freeview channels during set-up? He looked a bit pi$$Ed off now as he reiterated its Freely only. Even when I pointed out their own website AND the manufacturers, both state that it is available, he stood his ground. I gave up, so today we went into the store. Their first 'tech' didnt know, so suggested I speak to their Hisense tech. He was useless too. Fortunately, they had a Hisense rep in store. He smiled too, but was knowledgeable. He explained that a setting hidden in the menu needed to be unchecked (this isn't in the manual btw) so you can access Freeview. Techsperts? More like clueless morans. Rant over.

Quick, head over to a news channel. It is expected that Trump is announcing sanctions against the PGMOL, following tonight's shocking decision. Press conference is expected to start in 20 mins. -

It was interesting that Maguire and the others played beyond the defensive line so soon. It was like they knew they had some kind of immunity. -

I know the officials have some marginal decisions to make and even not see some incidents but come on, that was blatant. Lino well placed and not even close to being onside. What could possibly explain offside not being given? -

I was totally relaxed about tonight and nothing was going to annoy me - nothing. Even when extra time was close, I was chilled, convinced we would lose it in the extra 30 mins. So, if I was so relaxed, why as Mrs. FFF, just had to peel me off the ceiling? Never a free kick. Offside. Maguire. -
Okoli. Wow. Just wow.

We now go over the Lancaster Gate, the FA's headquarters, for the draw of the next round of the FA Cup. Bert Millichip and Ted Croker will draw the balls - and then it started. They got on with it. None of the tedious razzmatazz of todays draw.

Depends how much they are wlling to pay me to take one -
Iirc, there was a catalogue that included items you could 'buy' with your Green Shield stamp books. It would show an item, alongside how many completed books you needed. A b&w 12in TV would cost about 500 books.

If you look carefully, if you look hard enough, I swear you can see a tear running down the cheek on Vichai's statue. -
Would you be bothered..

I don't think I've ever watched MOTD when we have lost, I just haven't done so in 50 odd years. Pathetic perhaps, but that's how I was. However, I did on Saturday. Despite watching a stream, though I gave up at half time, I had a weird, but macabre fascination with what had happened and watched again. We were crap but it didn't bother me. In the past, a loss would literally ruined my weekend. I'm not sure it will ever do so again, so, perhaps that's a good thing. -
I was watching a news report regarding the Learjet crash in the states. The reporter mentioned that a page from a flight manual was found. A bystander was reported as saying, 'How come a piece of paper can survive but a person couldn't?' I think I now know how someone like Trump can become president.
