  1. Fairy Liquid to the rescue Nice story.
  2. You're not fooling me, they're M&Ms
  3. Indeed, and with so many players from all over the world, cultures and religions doing it, God must support lots of different teams. Plastic
  4. End of an era Perhaps of little/no concern to most but a significant moment in time for our broadcasting heritage. More info.
  5. I recall walking past the clock tower many moons ago one glorious afternoon, when a young lady walked just in front of me. She was wearing a yellow coloured string vest with absolutely nothing else underneath. It quite literally stopped me in my tracks. When I regained my senses, I noticed there was a few more of us young lads who had been equally and momentarily transfixed by this most satisfying view.
  6. Worst possible outcome
  7. At least Top has got his own song now, EFL Trophy, Southern section. You made us sing that Oi Oi Oi.
  8. You need 'Help'
  9. Wearing a scarf in this heat - what #@£!
  10. @DJW1 @Gamble92 Eh! This city created the Walkers crisp. The National Space Museum. We kept King Richard III here against all his family's will. We keep Salt and Victory crisps in every household 10 years past their sell by date. We have the Premier Inn multi coloured hotel. We have Arriva buses. Pork Pies. The tunnel where everyone beeps. DNA profiling. Your boys took one helluva beating........... More like.
  11. Don't know if it's due to the heat but the few tadpoles in our pond that had grown into little 'Froglets' as I call them, have all died this week.
  12. For the first 20 odd years of my life, I lived in one of the councils concrete houses - the type you see all over the city. Although cavity walled, there was no insulation in those days and the concrete acted like a storage heater - absorbing heat all day and giving it off all night. It was very, very uncomfortable. I guess for that reason, I've been fine overnight during this and previous heatwaves. A bedroom at 26 degrees all night is nothing compared to the heat and humidity of my childhood home.
  13. Just received a notice from YouTube to say they are altering my ad settings because they're not convinced I'm over 16. If you needed to be over 60, I would still be OK.
  14. I can't be the only one who clicked on this hoping to read she had just published a warts-n-all autobiography that blows the lid off the LCFC decline under KP. Can I?
  15. Congratulations. Grandkids are great. Everyone says our youngest grandchild, who is 3, has me wrapped around his little finger. They may well be right.
  16. Suzanne Huurman. The only female team doctor at the World Cup. No wonder players are feigning injuries.
  17. I haven't heard that for years. Used to be quite a romantic chat-up line - Gizza snog.
  18. My GP surgery keeps reminding me to complete the questionnaire they sent me (text) asking about the service they offer and if I am satisfied. All registered patients are being asked for their views. They assure you your feedback is anonymous and that no personal details are noted/collected. If submissions are totally anonymous, how come they know I haven't responded?
  19. Mrs. FFF returned from shopping earlier with the store magazine. It is full of 'Back to School items, uniforms, shoes, stationary and what not. That used to depress me back in the day..Summer break and reminders everywhere of school. Now it begins before the term has even ended.
  20. 'Robin Hood' tree has died.
  21. Shows where my mind and expectations are, I misread this as, 'England begin their torment....'
  22. ^^^^^^ Assuming not AI, very good.
  23. I've seen far, far fewer flats being flown from houses and cars so far this world Cup. In fact, I saw my first car this morning, that had a St Georges Cross fluttering in the breeze as it went past. This applies to houses too. In previous world cups, there have been plenty showing their colours hanging from upstairs window sills and so on. I hope it isn't a consequence of folk being reluctant to fly the flag after all the negative spin that's been placed on it in recent times.
