But wasn’t technically near Youri; didn’t dominate games at a top 6 PL level, didn’t score the goals or win us the FA Cup. There’s really no comparison, even if his last season, when Rodgers had run him into the ground, was poor.
-
You pays your money, you takes your choice. Oh, and Muzzy was, lovably, wrong! I’m with you on the Lenny love & agree with all you say about him, apart from the playing for Milan bit. And the better than Wilf bit. Nothing for us to fall out about.
-
He wasn’t (IMO). He was great was Lenny, but Kante & Ndidi were on a different level. Lenny was comfortably in my all time XI until Kante came along. Muzzy too was great, but to rate him above Tielemans as so many FTers do is hard to fathom. For me, I hasten to add!

This sort of thing, yes, maybe. My point was that today was yet another example of the even more tin eared leadership under Top
-
Tin eared. That’s the leadership of our club, and has been since Vishai’s passing.

Yes, that’ll be why Mads & Bilal aren’t playing either…! -

Heading south next, then east to Bratislava & Vienna. Both due to be scorchio! 🤞🏼 Memories of Fawlty Towers on a Sunday morning 😁 -

Don’t know pal! A cousin visited last summer & it rained throughout his stay. I’m here two days & it’s due to rain all the time. Ho hum. -

I can’t imagine any circumstances which would see me going to this one. Take that, Top & co! Mind, I’ll be in @mozartfox country on Sunday anyway… -
James Justin (signed for Leeds, official. 10m.)

Big fan of the guy especially at his best (a long time ago). But sometimes it’s just time to end a relationship for the sake of both parties. That applies to JJ & Ndidi. Thanks and all that, but best for all if we go our separate ways. -
My bad...I'd forgotten we made a profit on Connolly so he'd have to come off my list. But unlike most, I thought he was a fraud, always giving the appearance of making a challenge or a run, but not actually doing it. Just MO but I didn't rate him at all!
-
How far would you like to go back? Roger Davies Ade Akinbiyi Dennis Wise Junior Lewis David Connolly Matt Mills Rachid Ghezzal Islam Slimani Adrian Silva Danny Ward Odsonne Edouard Oliver Skipp Give me Coady over any of that lot, any time. But ideally, he goes.
-
I don’t think that’s clear at all. If he signs, I expect Mads to leave & Begovic to be back up to Jakob. I might be wrong but that seems more plausible than paying a decent wage for a third choice keeper?

Leicester’s most physically imposing player’s.

Close the forum!

Ideally, for me, we sell Hermansen to fund signings, topped up by a few bob for Faes, Soumare, etc etc? I might even look forward to a new season if we keep Bilal and have a promising manager keen to work with our academy graduates.
-
They’re not! 😉
-
Wise. Dennis, that is. Absolute charlatan who came here for a well-paid career warm down, & managed to fall out with just about everyone else here at the same time. As has been said by others, he could start an argument in a phone box!
-
And we might for the most part be happy with Rohl as the most attractive candidate out there. So long as we all understand that ‘candidate’ means someone who’s actually prepared to work for our board. And so long as we don’t give those uncommunicative twerps any credit at all for securing one of their preferred candidates… If it’s him I’ll back him. My personal jury is still out as to whether I’ll go and support the current regime by actually attending a match. And until January last year, I’d barely missed a home game in 45 years…

Surely ‘barm’?

Well winning it was amazing. I didn’t think for a moment I’d still be waiting for a second trophy all these years later. But no, the quality of football in 1970 was on another level. In 1966 we had heavy pitches, cloggers everywhere (Pele was effectively kicked out of action) & not that much to celebrate in terms of flair. 1970 will live with me for ever - breathtaking! And England were excellent, very possibly a better team than we had in 1966.

I’m sorry but that argument is well past its sell-by date! I enjoy your posts @ClaphamFox and respect your opinions, but the evidence against Rudkin since 2020 is more than damning. I don’t doubt he made some positive contribution to the successes we had, but that was then. Has he become a better DoF over the years? Has our recruitment improved? Have we managed player contracts better? Have we ensured that valuable players haven’t been able to run their contracts down & leave for nothing? In any other workplace I suspect we’d be in performance management by now. At best!

Fluke. They wanted Scott Parker
