  2. The flaw in that argument is that were we to win promotion next season, we’d still have Faes, Vestegaard, Ayew & DCR stinking up the place & costing a fortune in wages. Try getting rid of chaff when they’re on those wages!
  3. Given my season ticket away for this one. And in what I’m pretty sure is a first, I’ll choose not to watch it on TV either. Watching a recent Fulham game on the box, and remembering just how awful Castagne was in that 5-3 drubbing, it made me think just how far we’ve fallen. Timmy is still miles better than all of our defenders (possibly bar Ricardo) and used to get pelters on here, I felt often unfairly. I’ve been watching us 60 years now and Castagne is comfortably in the top 5/6 right backs we’ve had in that time, even allowing for his failings. When will we next have a full back that good? When will we next have a CB of PL quality? A midfielder to rival Tielemans and Maddison?
  4. Of course, domestic football started in 1992 and European football started whenever we replaced the European Cup with this now bloated & rigged farce called the Champions League. Celebrating reaching the quarter finals?! Give over, Villa are former winners!
  5. He was in my first draft! But you can’t leave Walshy out!
  6. Schmeichel Coatsworth Walsh Huth Thatcher Mauchlen Lennon Mills Clarke Izzet Howard
  7. Mads Woyo JJ Okoli Kristiansen Wilf Ricardo Facundo Bilal Mavs Pato I can’t bear the thought of seeing Faes, Coady or Vesty ever playing for us again. I realise I’m going to have to tolerate them all for several more years yet, but can’t wait to see Souttar & Nelson or Okoli next season. PS. I can really. In fact I can probably wait a few years before going again…
  8. He wouldn’t. Why? Because the board know this is on them.
  9. Excellent post, but it only scratches the surface! A couple of years ago, on the Big Strong Leicester Boys podcast, @Ric Flair had a monumental rant, with each of a long list of negligent leadership accusations ending ā€˜f**k you!’ aimed at the person responsible. From memory, the utterly absurd contracts given to semi-broken players like James, Ricardo & JJ, or to past-its like Albrighton featured heavily. I’d love to hear it again - it was absolutely spot on!
  10. I’ve never been to Grebland but am concerned that they can’t spell the names of two of our best ever players there? Shame.
  11. We might be. Especially if fans & players give up on the King Power project, which also looks likely. But committing to the stadium expansion would be a massive statement of intent. I’d be on board with that, as would many others I’m sure.
  12. It’s such an obvious PR win for the club to announce that work starts this June. So obvious that they won’t see it.
  13. You are of course entitled to your opinion, just as I am entitled to respectfully disagree with it.
  14. Harsh. We’ve really no idea what his capabilities are. Judgements are made based on things we see like substitutions but the reality is surely that Klopp, Pep & Ferguson would all struggle with this board & this group of players? I’m in. Hope he stays for next season
  15. Allegedly, we didn’t get a single offer for Youri in either summer 21 or 22. Allegedly. I suspect the usual suspect of botching this! Our only chance of getting Ā£50m for Youri was hot on the FA Cup win, when instead we spaffed a fortune on Vestegaard, Bertrand, Soumare & Daka… I’ve resisted the temptation to read too much into his facial expressions that season. I do recall the horror of a video clip that season showing Youri’s being sprinted past by a referee!
  16. That’s harsh and pure speculation. He was carrying some weight and plainly not as fit as he had been/is now, but I lay that as much at Rodgers’s door (overplaying him) as Youri’s. One of our best ever midfielders, who had a really poor 22/23 (he shouldn’t have been here, should he?).
  17. The fact (which I believe it is) that our board targeted two managers who couldn’t really be more different in playing style & philosophy speaks volumes. At Brighton, for example, they’ll already have 3-4 names as potential future managers, all playing a similar style to the present and previous managers. Moyes & Potter - I ask you! Confirms the clownish process that saw them flip from Scott Parker then flop on a hunch to Enzo
  18. I’ve 60 years of watching under my belt, and Vardy is without question the greatest player we’ve had in that period. But I hope and pray he leaves or retires at the end of this season. I couldn’t bear to watch even further deterioration in the Goat. Let him please score the goal that keeps us up and call it a day! We can dream, can’t we?!?
  19. Let’s not forget appointing Enzo was more luck than judgement as we now know Scott Parker (FFS!) was the man they wanted.
  20. I can’t be there but were I attending the game I’d bring my own pitchfork! There’s literally nothing more important now for Leicester City than the owner understanding that the current leadership of our club is performing at an unacceptably awful level, and has done for at least four years. Sleepwalking into two relegations in three years should be all the proof Top needs. Good luck @ProjectReset and to all your backers.
