Not in tonight’s squad, so…

There’s incompetence and there’s Leicester City incompetence… Or the journalist is talking out of his backside?

LCFC with the Graucho Marx approach to negotiations. You don’t like our opening bid? We have others…

Jordan Ayew (interest confirmed by Percy)

I do wonder about this club. Ayew had his medical on Thursday and I’m pretty sure Cooper would’ve liked him to be available for Saturday. What took so long? -
That’s not how you spell arse…

Who do you want for next season in the PL

Ioannidis & Hamer -
Well, we bid over £20m for Soule knowing we’d need a striker as well, so I doubt you’re right?
-
Too expensive or we thought overpriced? I don’t think we know that. Our interest, if genuine, could have initially been for a loan. Once Liverpool decided they wanted to sell, we might have expressed an interest at say, up to £15m? Truth is, we don’t know. What we do know is the manager will have given Martin Glover a list of profiles of players that he wanted. Glover and his team will have had several options for each of those. We’ve tried and failed to land a couple of (probably) first choices. We’re now working though the lists. My only problem with signing Skipp will be if it in any way prevents the signing of the attacking midfielders, striker and LB that we need, and which I’m sure we’re trying to sign.

Share the frustration Ric but we don’t know that we were interested in Carvalho. You may argue we should have been but that’s another matter.

In answer to the OP: A new Chairman A new Chief Executive and A new Director of Football -
Very much so. Stengs, meanwhile, has committed to Feyenoord.
-
At the risk of overwhelming @Ric Flair, could Calvin Stengs still be a possibility?

There’s your number 6 upgrade…

As long as he wasn’t in Lens…?

A new board? -
This, I’m afraid, is the problem. Enzo succeeded despite the board. Cooper isn’t doing, so far. This ownership brought us unimaginable times, for which I’ll always be grateful. Alas, since May 2021 (and I’d argue for quite some time before that), the leadership and decision making we’ve seen from this board has been abysmal. It’s hard to imagine any manager having a successful season with this leadership and the constraints they’ve saddled the club with.
-
It’s a big if, obviously, but if he signs we’d have something we don’t currently have; a player that demands opponents make a plan specifically for him. Imagine any of the greedy seven playing Leicester now. Manager: ‘show Fatawu & Mavididi down the outside’. Er, that’s the team talk. Zaha spent a decade in the PL being double marked. It’d be the same for us, hopefully. We just need to add some creativity to take advantage of the space his presence would open up.

Always hated his arm-waving & diving. Can’t wait to see him shithouse for us!

Solanke £60m? Crikey, it’s only two years ago that he was the worst striker (IMO) in the Premier League. As @Claudio Fannieri said above, let’s hope that wad is burning a Daka-shaped hole in Bournemouth’s pockets.
-
I don’t get the negativity towards Szmodics on here. Yes, he’s had just one exceptional season (which he won’t repeat) and he is older than is ideal but he’s a tidy player. Both times he’s played against us at the KP he’s been the most effective player on the pitch. If terms were sensible I’d take him as a rotation option/second striker/squad player in a heartbeat.
-
Maybe we’re aiming to do the opposite and open up his career path by giving him a season in the Championship?
-
You really shouldn’t share your password on FT you know?

All things considered, I'd say not. That is if you hadn't accepted back in May that all promotion meant was an opportunity to clean house, sort out our PSR position and put ourselves in the best possible shape for another Championship promotion campaign.
