Ange is pissed off because he isn't a Spurs fan and has worked hard all season to try and make CL football, just like the players who would all leave Spurs for a team making CL football regularly. Of course his mentality is different to fans that treat it as entertainment. If you're not going to win, the next best thing is to win having fun and if that's at your arch rivals expense then even better. CL football is good for Spurs fans, but it's not exactly new or worth the lifetime of shit they would get for gifting Arsenal the title. I just completely understand it. It might be different if say it was Portsmouth and Southampton where Portsmouth had the chance to be in the CL for the first time, but even then you would likely get a similar feeling as we've seen with this one. For me, It's not a Spurs 'as a club' type mentality, it's just a big rivalry mentality. It just so happens that Spurs often disappoint so people are connecting the two.

There was genuinely a mix though wasn't there. If we had a rivalry anywhere near it, I'm sure more of our fans would understand it too.

Newcastle top 4 last season and Villa this season. It only feels like five minutes ago we were miles ahead of both. People might say I need to move on, but Youri making CL with them is very annoying

Yeah that's a good one. Looking forward to playing them should they stay up is one thing, but actually wanting them to stay up is another level. I'd much sooner they fail and if we play each other, we play each other. Our away ends at their place aren't exactly something to look forward to either going off recent years.

It's been one week

I was tempted to go up to Murrayfield for the Rangers and Man United friendly, but feel the crowd would feel more Soccer Aid than Europa League group game so I've sacked that idea off. Hopefully get to Bromley in pre season or tie that in with a weekend in London over the season.

Not sure why people are disappointed there wasn't a pitch invasion, it should have been Preston if anywhere. Personally I don't think it's something you pre plan, it's in the moment. I tried to get east stand start the wave going and I'm in the section. It's something we've always done for these types of games and gets the whole ground going. It might not be "cool" but the majority of the ground would've loved it if it started.

I'd love for him to stay, I just hope a decision is made quickly. I don't want it dragging into pre season and making next season's challenge more difficult than it already is.

The 'realness' of the Championship. When we're on Sky and you wouldn't even know in the pre game coverage we were playing because it's all about one of the 'big 6' in the build up. Likewise, we win a game at somewhere like Old Trafford and the coverage is all about how 'United' underperformed rather than us winning because of how well we played.

Completely agree with this. I'd just have Vestergaard and Ndidi as more squad players, or to be rotated more often depending if we can bring in some sensible and inexpensive players who'd be an upgrade as starters.

Seville was so good it's easy to forget just how good all the other home games in Europe have been too. Porto, Copenhagen, Bruges, Napoli, Roma, Rennes and PSV were all memorable nights that make you crave European football again.
