I bloody loved the Lego Shell Petrol Station I got in 1986. I still reference it today. Scalectrix and Game Boy get an honorable mention. As does the Sega Megadrive. I was very lucky to be spoilt so much as a child. As a (step) parent, it ain't easy to make Christmas special for kids, especially when they're all teenagers or in their 20's. The Clive Tyldesley notes that my step-lad got me are probably the most thoughtful gift I've ever received. Been with my Mrs for almost 6 years now and I'm incredibly proud of the young adults that my step kids have become.

I was also looking forward to seeing what curries and sides @Jattdogg had done today, but he's apparently lording it in Cancun. Turkey tacos, mate?

Went out for dinner today. First time we've ever done it. Absolutely amazing. Food was incredible and service was spot on. We're already thinking of doing it again next year. I had a rack of lamb. There was also loads of carrots, parsnips and brussels to add to this. It ain't cheap, but when you think no stress of ordering and buying everything, plus no washing up, it's well worth it.

Happy birthday mate and also to Countdown legend @StanSP

Going out for dinner tomorrow. First time we've ever done that. I have however, bought a full leg of Serrano ham. Don't even know why, but look how happy I am!

Nice. You need a VR headset. It's incredible. So I've been told

Yes, I'm about 15 hours early, but I don't care. We did presents with the kids a couple of days ago because they're in Dubai for a week. Not going to lie, I think I win this year. My step-son got me Clive Tyldesley match notes from the 2021 FA Cup Final and got it signed. Probably the best Xmas present I've had since the Lego Shell petrol station I got in 1986.

Put a 2 year contract on the table. They guy has still got it. He's got that left in the tank, easily. His advantage is he came in to the game late. Your Rooney's and Owen's were burnt out at 30. Too much, too young. We've had some incredible players in the last decade... Cambiasso, Kante, Tielemans, Mahrez...but Vardy is different gravy. Every single team in the world would kill for a goalscorer like that, even at 38. You'll struggle to find the like of him anywhere.

That's an average conversation on a Thursday morning at work. Gregg would fit right in to a sales office. In fact, he might be a bit tame to fit in to real life.
-
Can't be bothered to read the whole thread, has @Ric Flair suggested we give it to Tete?
-
Give it Vardy till the end of the season

I'm still trying to find the copper out thread. I don't know what your problem is. It's a wonderful conductor of electricity and heat.

We all love you @StanSP. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Been a while since we've interacted, but I know you're just as beautiful 😍 @Jattdogg is going to be jealous! Haha, sorry. Love you both x

Yeah man. Didn't you know? Is it true you were on Countdown once? OK, twice. You won one. And actually mate, I think I'm still more frustrated than you are that you needed half a second longer to do that final numbers round!!!!! Oh man, we've totally changed subject, but I'll roll with it anyway... You know anyone who wants to sell cars in MK? It's local to you and we're desperate. I've been very quiet on here lately, but I hope you and your family are well @StanSP

So, today, I witnessed something so funny that it made 8 grown men absolutely howl with laughter. As most of you know, I sell cars for a living. It involves a bloke in his 50's who's lovely, but a real old school car salesman. Coincidentally, also called Tom. I bought a Meta VR headset last week. Took it in to work to show a few guys I play golf with the golf game on there. We then moved to cricket. It's unreal. With the headset on, you almost think you're inside a stadium. Tom comes in and asks for a go. Of course he can have a go. First ball, clean bowled. Second ball, he flicks one down the leg side. At his point, Tom starts running. Fast. Really fast. He's going for a cheeky single. Problem is, you don't have to run. Especially in an enclosed space. He's sprinted that hard, he's ran straight into a table, about 6 foot round. He's then flipped over, head first and come crashing down. The table has gone fully through the plasterboard and wedged itself in to the wall. The VR headset was fine. Tom wasn't. But nothing broken. We're all just gutted that nobody filmed it and the boss has banned me from bringing it in to work again

Did Jamie Carragher just say we're Man City like? -
I didn't get one. My stepdaughter has got a 2017 model and they really are great fun. I'd highly recommend them, definitely a one of the best cars in its category and is much better than something like the Fiesta ST.

Used, absolutely, some really good value to be had, but new, you'll massively regret it financially. I'm yet to see anyone who bought a new EV have equity in their car. £6000 is the least negative equity I've seen. The only way you'll get out of a PCP deal on one is to go full term, hand it back to the bank and start again.
-
My only advice would be, whatever you do, don't buy a brand new EV outright or on finance.
-
Are you leasing?

Post of the century right there, sound advice

From personal experience, using the sharpest thing possible on the wrinkliest part of my body isn't pleasant. In related news, my Mrs once walked in to the bathroom whilst I had one foot on the side of the bath with the other foot firmly planted on the floor, kind of squatting above a mirror, with razor in my hand
