Definitely, as disappointing as last season was it was only one of the 7 relegations I've witnessed so far. The FA Cup and Prem wins are up there with the births of my children as the some of the best moments in my life.
-
It was certainly poor in the 2nd half vs Leeds and a few times vs Bournemouth but over the season it's been pretty good. It's a bit of Akinbiyi syndrome I think, the more chances you create the more opportunities for glaring misses.

Is the F A Cup run now a distraction?

Our reserves getting a boost from beating a prem club away can't be detrimental in any way. -
I think someone posted that it's 11 of the last 16.

They'll need to keep it on the deck to use his electric pace. -
I inadvertently booked my Uber to the training ground rather than the stadium at Rennes and had a nervous walk to the ground on my own apart from a local who was quite understanding of my predicament (I speak French at very much a novice level).

Build a bet, please gamble responsibly. -
I wonder wether they'll move it forward to 12th? Failing that it will have to be the 16th, 23rd or 30th April. The West Brom game might also need to be moved. Southampton will have 1 hell of an end to the season.

It's the nature of the game that even talented youngsters who make it into the first team soon fall by the wayside. I'm going back a while with some of these but Mattock, Heath, Porter, Stevenson, Ashton, Neil Lewis spring to mind and I could probably think of 3 dozen if I had time. He's a decent player but if he'd come through the youth system at somewhere like Northampton he'd have probably stayed there. -
Aside from the mocking nature of your tone I agree with the sentiment. It's bizarre you can't buy a ticket for a game that isn't sold out. I assume this is to protect the revenue from memberships that would become redundant if it was a free for all. I'd like to think nobody would make something like this up to gain an advantage, experience makes me believe this isn't the case, I was merely pointing out the difficulty of differentiating. I hope Albie has a wonderful day, that football becomes something that helps him make sense of the world, one of my daughters has autism and If we'd been as enlightened in the 70s as we are now I would probably have been diagnosed myself but I think I was viewed as a pain in the arse, many still do.
-
I hope you and Albie have an amazing day and a positive result! Maybe in 60 years time he'll be taking his grandson/daughter. Just to balance it out a bit, I worked in a ticket office many years ago and we were endlessly dealing with hard luck stories to get tickets, no doubt many of them were genuine but we had to have a policy of saying no unless there was proof.

Fans and media were so much less reactionary back then, we were relegated the season before, Wallace kept his job and fans shrugged their shoulders and got on with it. -
Having further extrapolated this out, due to a loading delay at my last pick up of the night, using the odds for the 8 fixtures and making a 6% adjustment on each game to cover the bookies edge there is roughly a 1 in 35 chance we'll be in the playoffs for certain by 6th March.
-
Over the next 2 games covering us, Norwich, Preston and Cov, there are 6,561 possible outcomes and 36 of those would result in us making the play-offs on 6th March. I'm on a long break at work, sorry.

Personally I think mocking people's deaths is revolting and I'm glad something is being done about it. £100 is a parking ticket nowadays which isn't disproportionate.

XG is a pile of steaming crap. It doesn't take account of times when a better final ball would have made a goal a virtual certainty and there's an assumption that a high XG will pay off eventually when it's just as likely you'll stop creating so many chances. -
There's a lot of people on here that can't deal with disappointment in any measure...... it's bloody embarrassing. We were pretty good last night but for poor officiating, dreadful finishing and 2 deflected goals, we'd have been runaway winners. We bounced back from the 2 November defeats and we'll do it again. 12 games left, 11 against teams we've already beaten.

Birmingham and Cardiff will join the party if we win tonight. -
I think the rewards of victory outweigh the damage of defeat. Go and give 'em hell boys!
