I would rather they stay here and us not waste our money on squad players.

According to who?

But the balance will tip quite quickly. We currently have zero midfielders who can score or create. We do need another defensive midfielder but that's not Skipp, he's a bit of a water carrier I'd rather a destroyer and then focus on creativity. There's absolutely no need for Saelemaekers, Cordova-Reid has great work ethic and Mavididi and Fatawu are extremely proficient defensively.

A sure fire way of struggling for goals is to recruit players like him, Skipp and Cordova-Reid and playing them in a 4-2-3-1

Who do you want for next season in the PL
Ric Flair replied to Fightforever's topic in Transfer Talk
Yes, he'd be a very good addition. We seem to have scouted Italy a lot last season, quite possibly Enzo and his staffs influence. Hed be gettable for £10m or less. -
It's fine to pick up Cordova-Reid on a free but adding muck like this for the same price we'd pay for Gronbaek or Nanasi will absolutely rile me. Under no uncertain circumstances should this be pursued, he's hideous.

Hahahahahaaa that's actually a decent announcement, befitting of an absolute fcukin salt of the earth.

The terms of the obligation were pre-agreed so any difficulty is if wither team are trying to amend the terms which again is a moot point in an obligatory deal. It's all getting a little odd. Don't forget Sporting themselves Saif back in May this was confirmed.

To be fair, clubs are lazy. If there was a kid from any of the top clubs who scored 7 goals in about 25 games on loan last season they'd chuff up £10-15m without much due diligence.
-
If we play 3-4-1-2 then I can see him playing either up front with the striker or in the hole behind the striker and one of Mavididi or Fatawu. Very much like he did with Brennan Johnson at Forest. If we go 3-4-3 then two of him, Fatawu, Mavididi and Reid will play either side of the striker. If we go 4-2-3-1 when Mavididi, Soule and Fatawu are likely to be the 3 behind the striker.

SELLING LIKE HOT CAKES, SHIT HOT MATE

I think two of Mavididi, Fatawu and Soule if we sign him will play in a variety of positions behind the main striker. Possibly even all three.

It's not Trincao vibes I've got from this, it's Wesley Fofana. We've identified a young player we want at all costs and are going for it big time.

Odd if so, Okoli joined with no delays in that regard.

Hope so, was considered a big talent a year or two ago but seemed to stagnate the last 18 months. -

Haven't we released him? -
Where will you be watching the final?

Caravan party in Devon. Vindaloo sausage rolls. -
Soule is as much a #10 as he is a winger but I do agree we need a top class #8 as thr number one priority. I was hoping for £20-25m we could get two players in of the ilk of Gronbaek and Nanasi but I won't turn my nose up is we get Soule, he's unreal.
-
Trincao vibes in our pursuit, just hope it comes off this time.

Serie A is a far better standard than the SPL. Whilst i back O'Riley to be good enough for the PL, Soule scored 11 times last season for a very mediocre Serie A team. He's box office.

I might be being naive but the energy he showed in a more advanced role, albeit at a lower level gives me confidence he is over that malaise he had for 2 seasons. There's been documented personal struggles as well as injury struggles and maybe he's got a bit of zip back. He may always suffer injuries though and is usually good for a few periods out each season but if he applies the ball winning ability and energy again when he does play then I don't think we get better than him for a combined amount that we'll be paying him in wages and fees than if we were to go and buy another player and their transfer fee, wages and other costs.
