It's the 13 goals in the last 10 games that is disgusting and yet he's still not made any attempt to change things. Stick whispy ginger hair on him and he's got no more redeeming qualities than Gary Megson.
-
I was trying to fathom out what the best result was last night for Hull or Middlesborough. A draw doesn't really help either but a win would have and both Leeds and Ipswich have Middlesborough and Ipswich have Hull.
-
His comments on Cannon this morning are very concerning. His decision or lack of decision on Cannon is poor IMO. If Enzo doesn't rate him, like it would seem with Coady then there's once again a big disconnect with scouts, recruitment and manager. We won't get every signing bang on but it's always alarming when a manager won't even give them a chance.

The performances of our players since early February has been concerning. The goals have dried up as well, Vardy was our only source of goals up to the international break and then KDH and Mavididi have effectively scored or created them recently. This must improve, I think we're at the stage where he's going to throw Iheanacho back in which bothers me. I'd much rather we went with Cannon and Akgün behind him.

You sir, are a genius. Yet again, a captivating read.

It's going to be horribly close, unfortunately we've faltered already and now the pressure is really on its extremely difficult not to slip up but tough shit, we simply have to get 10 points from our remaining 5 games and it should be enough.
-
We aren't quite satisfied with throwing away double digits points leads oflver Leeds and Ipswich. We fancy giving Southampton the opportunity to do it over the remaining 6 games of the season.

Gutted that didn't go in at the end, would have been thunder bastard of the century.

We have come full circle and I can see him starting Iheanacho soon. Where on earth is Tom Cannon? It's futile expecting huge personnel changes or dare I say tactics but I'm getting myself angrier and angrier stewing over his declaration that we've been working on different approaches in different scenarios that we might need. I'm not sure what will constitute these to be deployed based on the way the last 4 games have played out and zero evidence of any change to how we always play and operate. I know a lot of managers have a fixed ideology, to expect them to flip flop tactically is unreasonable as you risk not mastering any way of playing or build the said identity. But there has to come a point where you're open to your tactics being countered and something new implemented. If superior tacticians like Enzo may well class himself, were never nullified then why do said managers change the way they play over time? Enzo may well do eventually but there's been zero evidence of that which is actually unheard of. There's been countless managers we've labelled arrogant and stubborn grace our football club but I don't recall any being this rigid so early on and immovable. Rodgers was a ballerina in comparison to what we're seeing here. I cannot comprehend the thought process behind KDH and Ndidi roles last night nor how a supposed dynamic coach could watch that display where our entire strategy revolved around 1 winger in Mavididi being expected to take on a full back who had his number all game and they then doubled up on him for good measure. We had no 8's advancing past him on a regular basis to provide a different threat and unfortunately Yunus isn't the type of 1 v 1 winger to provide another weapon that made their jobs harder to keep us at bay. Would it not be on such an occasion that the full backs (by now we had Justin and Ricardo playing) support Mavididi and Fatawu? I get why we wouldn't do it routinely with a slow central defence but we were chasing the game and their strengths were retaining a compact low block, draw them out and it may have fallen apart. I'm so angry. This team is difficult to like, as is the manager. I'm pretty clear in my mind he is not the long term answer here if we go up and 100% unsuited for the difficult period we face if we don't go up. Not going up is a real possibility now, we've got no mental resolve and are relying on Leeds being as weak as us. They're trying their best to be fair. No point even suggesting a team, the arrogance of our manager to consider we have to adapt is beyond him.

Cheeky little Callum Wright winner

I don't think it would make much difference if I'm honest when it comes to Enzo. He's unflinching in his principles.

This is a team that recently lost to Rotherham, they are absolutely diabolical and yet in all 3 games against them this season we've either ridden pur luck or been downright out fought and at times out played. Tonight was as gutless and spineless a performance as I've seen since Crystal Palace away in Brendan's last game in charge of us. To think we've offered that up at this stage of the season after putting ourselves in a great opportunity to clinch promotion after a very poor 6 weeks is just galling. This team is so unlikeable at times, sadly we are a group coached under a philosophy and mentality that have absolutely minimal capability to drag themselves through tough situations. It's futile demanding we try other tactics, it will never happen. I have never seen a regime be this one dimensional and a manager so stubborn so early in to his managerial career since Gary Megson. I detest Brendan Rodgers final 18 months here but anyone who has the audacity to liken what Enzo does to Rodgers time here is farcical. Rodgers was much more open to different formations in his first couple of seasons here, but that's forgotten because of how clueless he became in the final part of his tenure here. Maresca won't change, I'm scratching my head what different scenarios they've been working on, it took us 92 minutes to show any desire to attack with aggression. I'm close to breaking point with him and it's so deflating after the relief of Easter Monday and the comfort of our persistence on Saturday which let's face it were nnothing to do with a change in tactics or approach but they turned up. Really conflicted where we go from here, Leeds are shit an'all right now.

It's certainly not working tonight, KDH has been a passenger and Ndidi anyhow.
-
Ndidi, Winks and KDH not on it so far. Yunus showing decent control but he's rendered useless as he cannot bear a man and the two 8's have been muck. Hopefully step it up 2nd half.

Leicester 'could face points deduction next season'

He denied he was on as much as £10m per annum, but let's say he was. The maximum his entire contract was worth when he signed an extension back in November 2019 was £55m (5.5 years). We sacked him with just over 2 years remaining. I have said it would be staggering if a) We signed off on a contract that required him to be paid off the remainder of his contract at any given point and b) that it was in full in the year of sacking. If we did then we deserve everything that's coming to us as its outrageous and was a £50-60m liability at any given time. But that said, it would only have been around £20m on Rodgers + his staff which could be around £25m or so I suppose. Hideous if so. -

Alves?? -
He's already said he's going to have to rotate. Ricardo and Ndidi are the only 2 we need to be majorly careful with IMO.
-
Ricardo to step off the bench to win it 1 nil for us and make in 3 in 3 vs Millwall this season.
-
It's a huge dilemma isn't it.
-
In: Vardy, Justin, Praet, Akgün Out: Daka, Ricardo, Ndidi, Fatawu

Some very good prospects for both sides on show this evening, those in attendance should be in for a good spectacle. Hope our 1st team scouts are watching Kane Taylor and Micah Hamilton closely as both out of contract this summer. Nico O'Reilly was obscene for their U18s last season but presume he's had a bad injury as hasn't been playing at any level from what I gather until recently. -
We've been linked with him before.

As I've said, if we not only had to pay off the remainder of his and his staffs contracts but also up front in the year of sacking then we (the club) deserve everything coming to us. That was a 5 year £50-60m (over half the entire 3 year PSR allowable loss) liability hanging over our heads at any given time should we need to replace Rodgers, which must have made financial planning and compliance very precarious. -

Possibly a silly question but will the doors be open for fans to attend? -

Pretty sure he told Maresca during the 1st week back in training he wanted to leave so not sure that was a sticking point.
