  1. Might just be how I'm reading some of the comments, so apologies if I am misinterpreting, but for clarity we are playing Prague not Praha, (the latter are top of their league, and Prague are second). Read like some were mixing them up.
  2. Moving off topic a bit, but we do need a bit of power, height, aggression. We never look like scoring from a corner, yet look so vulnerable when defending one. We aren't the tallest team.
  3. Interesting that there's a real mix of views. Maybe at the moment there isn't a clear best eleven for this team. Some players are nailed on; Vardy, Ricardo, but it could just be a position where it's not obvious. I've known sides in the past, (looking at all teams, not just City) where the eleven just picks itself.
  4. I meant to give a mention for Justin as well. Harsh on him, because he works hard, but I would have to leave him out. Re. Evans on current form, I think he's looked vulnerable and Fofana has a better telling pass, and comes forward more, rather than the dreaded sideways pass. We are just too exposed with three at the back. We shouldn't be as vulnerable as we are when WE, (i.e. our) have a corner, to the counter-attack. Still room for making changes; we have to playing twice a week, but you must have a view in your mind of your best eleven. Pretty sure Kopp will have. I'm just not sure Brendan knows what his is. Don't forget I'm saying here for a one-off game and you have to put your best eleven out that will win it.
  5. I wonder if Brendan has a clear view of this. I'm sure it would differ to mine, (when everyone's fit) Schmeichel ‐---------------- Ricardo right-back Castagne left-back (assume he can play that side) Soyoncu Fofana -------------- Ndidi - middle Tielemans - middle Albrighton - right-hand side Maddison - middle (ahead of the others) Barnes - left-hand side (ahead of the others) ‐---------------- Vardy As much as possible to operate as a 4,4,2 (especially defensively) Harsh on Mendy but there we are. For me too much chopping and changing amongst Under, Ayoze, Praet, Albrighton, Barnes and that has nothing to do with injuries. Barnes had to start last night, and if he wanted to keep momentum with Thomas, stick him at left-back. If it was my "life depended on it" must win 11 that would be it. First change would be Kelechi for Tielemans with Maddison filling in. Key message in there from me Barnes and Albrighton every time. What's your eleven...........?
  6. Not a crisis but in this and the Liverpool game, the opposition seemed to want it more; were quicker to the ball; were more aggressive in the tackle. Maybe time for a harsh word and reality check. We need to tackle teams like Liverpool head on and not go in there with an inferiority complex, and equally not take the Fulhams of this world for granted. And......4; 4; ****ing 2 to quote Harry Bassett!
  7. Barnes should start most/all games. Has to come on. I'd put Thomas to left back and take Fuchs off. Barnes will offer more of a threat. Prefer four at the back as well. Justin to right-back and Albrighton on.
  8. Sky saying Andy King still a Leicester player and is out on loan; thought he'd definitely left this time....?
  9. Didn't say who to
  10. Apart from the two free headers, which on another day....
  11. What playing like this? Don't be fooled by the odd break. It's shocking and painful to watch. I'll say 3-1 maybe 4.
  12. Are we incapable of beating a man; just turn and go back every time? Just giving them too much respect. Come for a point but if you go one down you have to change things.
  13. And yet two people out for the corner when you know it will sail over their heads into the box. One of those could have marked him.
  14. Happy to accept playing a weakened team last night, but it won't be acceptable in the F. A. Cup. A cup win would mean more to me than a second league title. Hopefully the club will see it the same.
  15. When will we learn to stop fannying about at the back?!
  16. More straw clutching, but if Man City or Chelsea win the Champions League, will the places go down to fifth? Apologies if discussed up thread.
  17. I don't want CL. We'd be embarrassing. UEFA will be changing their decision anyhow; do we want De Bruyne etc. gracing the competition or this lot playing out their six defeats......?
  18. Also why take Perez off; best player for us today?
  19. Should never have changed anything at half-time. Kelechi and whole team playing well. Why would you change things?
  20. Joking aside some are a lot better than others. Sky favouring the traditional big boys. At least the players don't hear anything
  21. I thought our fake crowd didn't really get behind the boys. Last night you could here "Blue Moon" throughout, "Everton, Everton" the day before, and Spurs loud now with "When the Spurs"...at times I thought they'd switched ours off. Poor game all round .
  22. No, I agree with Sampson; Tielemans had a mare.
  23. Jury still out for me on Tielemans. I thought it last season and feel the same this. No pace; slows it right down when he gets the ball. Certainly not a box to box engine on him. As an aside Maddison free-kick in the first half, I think it was Vardy pulled back as they all ran in; is that not a VAR consideration then?
  24. Will the Fleetwood game count as one of the three games Vardy misses or is it three Prem. games?
