  1. Ryan Loft is on
  2. Nice composed finish
  3. Fair comment. Good job i'm not the manager otherwise we'd be starting half of the u23s away at Anfield
  4. Ughelumba is looking comfortable as always. His attacking output is highly praised but defensively I rarely see him get beat by the opposition winger.
  5. End of the first half The trialist Reghba won a penalty and scored a goal on the break. Solid performance from him so far. Knight and Pascanu don't even need to try, this level is way too easy for them. Just a thought but could we slot Knight into the 3 man midfield? Mendy needs to be dropped for his mistakes but we don't really have a replacement. Knight is very composed on the ball and does get forward well and has played at CDM a few times now. I know playing with 3 CDMs isn't ideal but I guess having Knight's presence in the middle would allow Choudhury and Ndidi to press high and try win the ball back in the opposition half. Also if Puel doesn't have faith in Soyuncu then why not give Pascanu a chance if Morgan becomes unavailable through injury or suspension.
  6. Leshabela is also there, think he was on the bench in the league cup. Maybe him and James will be 4th/5th choice if Silva and King leave?
  7. Would love to to see him on the bench. Realistically though he’s probably going to need to regain his form / match fitness. The u23 league finishes in April so i think a realistic target for Ndukwu would be to break into the first team late on in the season like Choudhury last year? In my opinion I thought he improved those aspects of his game. After his pre season with the first team he came back looking like a new player.. It could have been the u23s opposition which skewed my perspective, but he looked like the complete package before his injury.
  8. Do you think he could break into the first team this season now Diabate’s gone?
  9. I thought Pascanu was the most impressive. His calmness, positioning and reading of the game allowed him to breeze through the match. Played a couple lovely long balls too. Compare that to Benalouane’s ‘performance’ and you realise it should be Pascanu complaining about lack of first team action, not Benny! As for the rest, the keeper is solid, Ughelumba always provides a option going forward, Dewsbury-Hall is good technically and Knight shown his versatility. Things we already knew to be honest.
  10. Hughes played at DM a few times last year and Benkovic can apparently play there also.
  11. Pascanu is a calm presence at the back. Mops everything up and on the ball he keeps it simple.
  12. Two minutes in and Benalouane has kicked someone in the face!
  13. No u23s in the cup then. If we bring back Barnes we’ll have him, Choudhury and Chilwell in and around the first team already. Outside of those 3 if we’re being realistic, who else can break into the first team squad? Elder seems most likely, as we’ll need a Fuchs replacement. Our CB’s have Benkovic and Soyuncu to compete with. Eppiah seems to be always injured and we don’t know if Ndukwu will perform at the same level when he returns. Keep the faith, like most fans I would love to see more of our u23s progress but we also need to be realistic. TLDR: Realistic = Chilwell, Choudhury and Barnes in the first team and Elder as Fuchs replacement. Outside chance for the rest. Gerrem all out on loan!
  14. Is there still a chance for Ndukwu? He looked really promising before his injury. Even with 1 leg he is probably an upgrade on those two clowns.
  15. Ndukwu and Josh Knight next, starting in the fa cup
  16. We looked more solid in a 4-3-3 yesterday. In the future (next season probably), what about the 4-3-1-2 Puel used at Nice, which is very similar to the 4-3-3. Schmeichel Pereira, Benkovic, Maguire, Chilwell New CM, Choudhury, New CM Maddison Vardy, Barnes Sign two CM's who are creative/box to box to play alongside a DM. The new CM's can be rotated with our other DM's (Mendy/Ndidi) if we need to go more defensive. This formation will also allow us to get Maddison and Barnes in the same starting 11. Vardy will have a strike partner to feed off in Barnes and Maddison will have licence to roam like Ben Arfa did. We can also switch to 4-3-3 mid game by bringing on our wingers like Gray, etc. I guess width might be an issue but Pereira and Chilwell should have more licence to get forward in this formation.
  17. We need another attacker imo for some variety, need to keep Shinji.

    Outgoings

Will be sad to see Ulloa, Shinji, King and Simmo go. We need to move on for sure, but will just be sad to see the old guard leave. How is Benalouane not in this in this group of deadwood but Shinji is?? We should keep Shinji as he has something to offer! Also don't think their is much difference between Simmo and Amartey apart from age.
  19. Anyone watching, are we playing a 3 at the back formation?
  20. Can't even log into the website
  21. Would have loved to see Hughes start
  22. football clubs financial accounts start from july 1st Without the CL money I can imagine our 17/18 accounts won’t look that healthy, but out 18/19 accounts will if we sell Mahrez and the deadwood after July 1st and make our big purchases (like Maddison) after that date also.
  23. The new financial year is July 1st
  24. Is it possible we’re waiting for the new financial year to start, until we start buying/selling anyone?
  25. On the topic of recycling there’s a town in Japan that recycles absolutely everything and produces zero waste: Imagine if this happened in the UK
