the Singapore cricket clubs keeper looks like a cross between Conrad Logan and Kevin Pressman

I like Chilwell but if we want to progress we need two, reliable fullbacks that can defend and attack.
-
Wouldn’t want to lose him, but is it possible Albrighton could be tempted by a move away? Especially if Villa get promoted and come calling. Puel favours youth and might be happy with Roberts, Gray, Diabate plus one other..

Where do we need to strengthen for next season ?

Back up GK RB CB LB RW Number 10 -
I always liked Vydra but do we need him? I don’t think Okazaki will be sold so we’ll have Vardy, iheanacho, Okazaki and probably Barnes or a new number 10.
-
Some unknown winger from Ligue 2 who turns out to be class
-
Agreed... We need a new RB and LB imo.
-
Shame it’s sportwitness. I don’t think a rumour started by them has ever come to fruition.
-
Might be just me but he reminds me of Knockaert. A lot of tricks can pick a pass but is a bit slow and lacks acceleration compared to a Mahrez or Diabate. Might not be a problem in Puel’s system but if we play on the counter I don’t think he’d be very effective

Hmm good point... I guess you’re right, the youth players were on the bench out of necessity. It is a bit telling that they didn’t get more minutes as you say, surely they would have done if Puel trusts them and is ‘experimenting’ with the squad.. Whatever happens I hope the likes of Hughes, Choudhury, Thomas & Barnes are in the squad next season. They’ve all shown they’ve got something about them.

Positives of keeping Puel: - He wants to build something long term - He’s trying to adapt our style which has been nullified to an extent by teams that park the bus. - He promotes youth players. We have a few who have looked good for the U23s and could make the step up. - He’s identified the deadwood we need to get rid of by shipping out the likes of Slimani, Ulloa, Musa etc in January (albeit on loan) Negatives of keeping Puel: - Persisiting with players like Morgan even though Dragovic has performed a lot better. - Constantly chopping and changing the team EVERY WEEK. The team sheet changes every week, you can’t put that down to just experimentation. - Tried to change our style of play COMPLETELY. (Not just the counter attacking side, but the intensity, aggressive tempo, direct attacking play has been obsolete for the majority of Puel’s reign). - He might persist with his very boring possession based style that is easy to counter and gets us nowhere. - Can we trust his philosophy and will the recruitment staff be able to bring in the right players. - Do our best players want to play for him? We can’t afford to lose the likes of Maguire, Ndidi, Vardy on top of Mahrez. Conclusion: The negatives outweigh the positives. There is no reason why a new manager can’t replicate the positives listed above... But that isn’t a given and we could end up with Pardiola knowing Rudders! So who the fuch knows! The most disappointing thing for me about Puel’s reign is he tried to change us to a possession based style and completely abandoned our previous style. The machine isn’t broken, we just need to add more cogs, there is no need to dismantle it completely like Puel has tried to do. As shown in the past two games, we know what our strengths are. Build on them!

Should have been player of the season

Spurs 5 (FIVE) - Leicester 4 (FOUR)
foxes21 replied to urban.spaceman's topic in Leicester City Forum
Before everyone slates our defence (yes they’re not great) our midfield was just as bad defensively. We didn’t have anyone in midfield who could win the ball off the opposition and protect the back four. Iborra moving 5 yards side to side without trying to challenge the opposition isn’t protecting the back four. It’s just delaying the inevitable. This forced our already poor defence to push forwards and press the Tottenham attackers when they got the ball, which left space in behind for runners. Silva is a trier but someone with his skill set cannot be expected to carry the entire midfields defensive duties. If the plan is to sit back and counter, we need to win the ball back first. With Ndidi injured, it should have been Choudhury partnering one of Silva/Iborra. -
THIS GAME

Breaking news Harry Kane has claimed Fuchs goal
-
This is genuinely the best performance Gray has ever had Lad is up for it today
-
What a goal Riyad
-
Puel in!
-
Who is going to win the ball in midfield? Iborra is a passenger off the ball and rarely tackles the opposition and Silva isn’t the type of player to put his foot in either
-
Choudhury and Diabate dropped? Why does he change the line up every week?!! I don’t think we’ve had two consecutive games where he’s picked the same lineup. Puel Out!!
-
GK: Hamer RB: Amartey (Loan) CB: Huth CB: Benalouane RW: Musa CM: King CM: James CM: Mendy LW: Kapustka ST: Ulloa CF: Slimani That’s a lot of muck we need to get rid of, but it needs to be done. There is no future at the club for any of these players, bar possibly Amartey and Mendy if Puel thinks he can get the best out of him.

Roberts, Diabate, Gray, Albrighton.. Three very raw wingers could be risky. I’d like to see an experienced winger come in to replace Mahrez. Roberts could be a replacement for Gray?

Best 11 outside the top 6 - PL, 2017-2018 Season
foxes21 replied to The Bear's topic in Leicester City Forum
Cedrics been awful this season too tho Yeah, but struggling to think of a LB that’s done well this season tbh. Chilwell gets a lot of stick but he’s been better than most Lb’s outside the top six! -

Pope Zabaleta, Tarkowski, Maguire, Mee Mahrez, Doucoure, Ndidi, Zaha Gros Vardy There hasn’t been any stand out RB/LB’s tbh. Cedric and Bertrand have been poor this season.
