I would have a look at Danny Ormerod at AFC Fylde, 19 year old striker scored 16 goals already this season, probably get him for £200k and immediate loan back to Flyde for reminder of season and then bring him in for next season.

I do wonder if the club are missing a trick with sponsorship, I do wonder whilst BC Game offer the most in terms of sponsorship payment, if we were to think outside the box and go with a sponsor that was more synonymous with Leicester or one that got the attention of the fanbase, a bit like Spud Bros and PNE, the impact this could have overall on our commercial revenues and shirt sales/merchandise etc.

We were allowed under EPL rules to lose no more than £105m over 3 seasons and the people at our club managed to lose almost double that, regardless of the rules for any business to lose close to £200m is criminal. This regime deemed it acceptable to be running our wage bill at over 100% of turnover. We continue to run a wage bill that is largely unsustainable for a club with our revenue streams. KP / Aiyawatt have gambled big time with our future, you cannot sustain losses of over £200m in a 3 year period and be able to continue to run a business losing millions a year without substantial cash reserves, which I don’t believe we have and I don’t believe KP are in a position to keep bankrolling given the other fires they are dealing with. Perhaps the family have had to make a decision to prioritise saving one of Vichai’s business loves and perhaps given KP were in existence long before the family got involved in LCFC and also that KP will ultimately not be a vanity project or cash cow, accepted that LCFC has to take the back seat, hence why we are seeing a clamping down and certain financial decisions have recently been taken to help manage cash flow. There are a couple of sayings in business that I think Aiyawatt and Rudkin should consider when managing the finances of LCFC - - Revenue is vanity, profit sanity. - Cash is king.
-
I agree that our PSR position will improve significantly however in all walks of business cash is king, regardless of shifting on big earners, if we have run out or running out of cash to pay our bills and stay on top of day to day running costs then you are effectively bankrupt and administration is a guarantee. I honestly believe the club is no longer sustainable and KP/Aiyawatt can no longer sustain us or they have made a conscious decision to no longer throw good money after bad. Hopefully that means they are prepared to sell but just like Chansiri is the valuation remotely realistic. Or they will have a fire sale and asset strip in January to fund the club until the end of the season.
-
Whilst the increasing number of empty seats at games will not have a massive impact on PSR as some will be season ticket holders who have already paid etc. it will have an impact on cash flow. Empty seats don’t purchase food, drinks or merch this will have a significant impact on day to day cash flow. Matchday revenue will help pay the bills that keep the club ticking along, as others have said, the non payment of the early Christmas wages was a massive red flag to me. We have history for budgeting at the very best case scenario so it’s highly likely this season our budget will have been based on being top 3 and filling the KP out every week, the reduced attendances will hurt us PSR wise at the end of the season and may mean we need to sell someone to balance the shortfall but the hit to cash flow is the more immediate risk especially if KP or Aiyawatt are unable or not prepared to bridge the gap. I fully expect to see one or two players moved out for below valuation fees but with a significant proportion paid upfront to help manage our cash flow and also to try and reduce the losses. Remember we have Macquarie to pay. If we don’t manage to bring in a huge chunk of cash in January I can see us defaulting on a significant creditor such as HMRC or players/staff within the next 3 months.

I am really shocked that the club didn’t decide to sack Marti after the Sheffield United debacle and use it as an opportunity to put Kingy in temp charge and try to put the pressure on for fans to attend by saying we have done something plus using the emotional ties that Kingy has with the fanbase.
-
Absolutely, not one response to my post with any reasons or justification as to why they could turn this around.
-
Pearson purely because he brings more in terms of the wider set up would love him to rebuild the scouting, analytics and sports science departments.
-
I would ask anyone who is defending KP, Top and Rudkin and backing them to turn this around, on what evidence are you suggesting this could actually happen? Many hide behind PSR as the reason for our demise, this is absolute nonsense, yes it has made it more difficult to correct our poor decision making but make no mistake PSR did not make us spend reckless amounts in terms of wages to the likes of Daka, Soumare, Bertrand and Vestergaard in a season where we decided to break our model and not sell one of our Crown Jewels. PSR did not negotiate the ridiculous contract extension and termination clauses that we included for Rodgers that made it almost impossible to sack him without leaving us with a massive financial liability. PSR did not cause us to be relegated with a squad including Riccy P, JJ, KDH, Jonny Evans, Soyuncu, Youri, Casatagne, Wilf, Madders.Barnes, Vardy etc PSR didn’t select Danny Ward and Daniel Amartey as starters that season. After the relegation and the start of the PSR breaches, this heirarchy decided to double down and offer ridiculous contracts to Harry Winks and Conor Coady, then on promotion spunked large wages and in some cases paid well over the odds on fees for the likes of Skipp, Ayew, BDCR, Eduaord etc etc Our managerial selections are nearly all agent driven, we show minimal evidence of any long term strategy or planning in terms of our managerial targets, the majority of appointments have been scattergun and very little evidence of any continuity. our player recruitment is now like our managerial recruitment, it has become a patchwork quilt of a squad made up of heavily influenced manager selections. We were one of the real innovative clubs in terms to recruitment and our model and this was ripped by, you know who, Top and Rudkin to appease Rodgers and to absolutely disastrous effect. Then the treatment of fans, so many decisions, strategy and decisions have been taken with minimal regard for the impact to supporters, the heartbeat of the club, various sponsorship deals with dubious crypto / betting companies, more and more decisions regards ticketing arrangements that are slowly alienating the legacy fanbase and to top it off when we do experience success, the fans are shunted behind daytrippers and VIP guests with little or no affiliation or affection to the club. Finally the lack of communication, they are to quote their own words ‘custodians’ of our club and yet the strategy is to close ranks, share very minimal interaction and information treating the fanbase with utter contempt, distain and lack of respect. This will always be our club, our city and yet slowly but surely we are becoming more and more detached from the club. We are treated as 2nd class citizens despite being supposedly a family, it makes me smile when people preach togetherness and yet we are treated like we are a burden to the club rather than the lifeblood. This is why the feeling has grown so strongly against the current administration of the club, we stand on the edge of financial meltdown which could see us descend to league 1 …. 5 years after winning the FA Cup Final and successive top 5 finishes in the premier league, every week the news that comes out would suggest things are only getting worse and more critical, the leaders have demonstrated they are not capable of turning this around, so I ask anyone still supporting KP, Top and Rudkin to provide genuine evidence and reasons as to why they should not be held responsible & accountable for our rapid decline and why any of them deserve any element of trust that they will turn this around.

Abdul frustrates the life out of me at times with his poor decision making however he clearly cares and I think it’s more out of frustration and a desire to try and grab the game by the scruff of the neck. There were times last night where he looked on the verge of tears. The trouble is when he gets into this position he then makes rash decisions like the dive which was embarrassing or trying another shot from miles out. In truth the tactics stifle all our main wide attacking threats such as Abdul, Stephy and Monga and you can see none look happy or like they have that spark. Personally I think we will cash in if we recieve a bid of £30m+ in January. It’s sad as he should be a cheat code at this level and yet our own tactics are largely negating the ability of all 3 of our main winger options which is an absolute disgrace.
-
He is struggling massively and last night the defending for the 2nd goal beggared belief however I also think the current set up leaves him continually exposed. He gets very little protection or support down the left hand side, similarly neither does our right back, the team structure is all over the place and it reminds me of Coopers chaotic time here last season when JJ was continually exposed. LT has limitations but is also more than capable of playing at this level and even bottom/mid table premier league in a well drilled, well structured team set up, the problem is the last 3 managers seem incapable of finding a stable out of possession system that gives the full backs some form of protection and help. Last night the gaps in our structure was under 7 stuff we looked an absolute shambles.
-
I have a horrible feeling that in the next 4-6 weeks we will be in administration and soon snippets will start to break in the mainstream media that we we are in financial meltdown and further points deduction and embargo’s will be in place.
-
It did cross my mind too, I also don’t believe we have filed our accounts by the December 31st deadline as yet unless it’s a timing issue with bank holidays etc so could it be that the club and players know that an additional points deduction and: /or transfer embargo will be applied in the very near future on top of the already pending deduction and its fair to say the morale of the club and any positive momentum has tanked.
-
The club is a mess from Top to bottom but make no mistake we are massively underperforming this season, we have now lost as many games as we have won and have a minus goal difference in a division where we have the highest wage bill and a promising group of academy players coming through. Any decent coach / manager worth his salt would have this side competitive and comfortably in the top 6. Make no mistake we look a shambles, no defined patterns of play and out of possession we are weak as piss, we are being outplayed and dominated by absolute bang average muck. Yes there are bad eggs but feck me there is more than enough quality in that team tonight to be set up in a shape and tactical plan that makes us hard to break down and look threatening in possession. Tonight was disgusting that performance has nothing to do with Top and Rudkin, that is on Marti he set that team up and sent them out to play like that. He has to go and Top and Rudkin need to go because tonight epitomises everything that has gone wrong in the last 3/4 years. I defy anyone to defend Marti, Top or Rudkin after that tonight, for different reasons that sums up for me that change has to happen right the way through the club.
-
The squad is not rubbish, there is enough to be at least in and around the top 6 of this division which is full of absolute slop. Top and bottom of it we look just like we did under Cooper, devoid of ideas in possession and zero structure put of it. We create little and yet the opposition cut through us like a knife through butter and our full backs are continually exposed ….Thomas is last seasons James Justin. It’s shambolic, but a lot of this is repairable by bringing in an experienced manager like Mowbray who can get this rabble well organised
-
Embarrassing 1st half, zero intent or ambition than to just sit back and try not to concede and yet we still looked so easy to play through. This is a million miles away from the controlling possession based style we seem so stuck on, this is so similar to Coopers shite last season. If we aren’t going to at least try and play football then we may as well bin Marti off and bring in someone with a defined style that can take us forward. What the 3 in behind Silko Thomas were doing for that 45 minutes was nothing short of appalling. All 3 wasteful in possession and making rank bad decisions time and time again. if there is not a significant improvement in 2nd half I can’t see how Marti survives this. And if I was advising Top I would bin him off tomorrow and put Kingy in charge of WBA and Cheltenham games …..and potentially try to arrest a bit of the momentum of the planned boycott. by the way what an absolute tit Wilder is 😂
-
This lot playing Kasabian before game, fecking use the Human League or Def Leppard …..fcuking scruffs 😂😂
-
I understand what you are saying but he has played about 185 minutes of championship football which is the equivalent of couple of full games and scored a goal so who knows he may be one who kicks on and does better than many of us supporters expect. Also Marti see’s him training every day perhaps he is grasping the tactical side of the game better than some of the younger lads who are only in their first full season in a professional football environment.
-
Silko deserves his chance he isn’t as talented as Evans or Monga but he is a bit further in his experience and development, also this is likely to be a physical game so perhaps the feeling is he is better equipped to start the game ahead of others. I would love to see Evans ahead of Wanya on the bench but again I think it’s the expectation that this match will be physical and therefore have gone for a little bit more experience and physical development.
-
Agreed so many have said drain the swamp, Marti does this and is slowly phasing the old guard and people still moan …damned if he does and damned if he doesn’t
-
Lovely to see no Faes in the matchday squad hopefully him. Winks & Soumare gone soon and the swamp being drained. Really don’t have an issue with Silko playing as his introduction definitely added more energy and we pressed a lot higher up the pitch.

I know his brand of football split opinion but personally I loved him, in particular how he came in and raised standards, culture and professionalism at the club, very much reminded me of Pearson in that aspect, he wasn’t perfect but he also challenged those above him as well. Has recently left Wasserman to join Jorge Mendes so not a cat in hells chance he comes back to us, will land a top job in Europe next IMO. However I do wonder if we could tempted to try and bring back Willy Cabellero and Danny Walker if they don’t follow Maresca to his next club.

What’s interesting is if a player downs tools or effectively checks out they are rightly called out and criticised, surely the same applies to the owner especially given the impact this is having on the demise of the club is far greater than any disinterested player.
