  1. Is looking better with each and every minute he plays, I would change shape and go 4-3-3 and have Page playing as a high 8 alongside JJ with Skipp in holding role. He is a special special talent. I would have him starting now. We ain’t going up so focus on younger players to gain experience and develop, show them there is belief and the pathway to be first team regulars for the next 2/3 years before their inevitable move to bigger and better clubs.
  2. Superb 1st half then the inevitable half time team talk and we capitulate this is on the manager fecking honking display from the manager from 45 minutes onwards. It’s happened to many times for it to be anything other than tactical.
  3. Bring in Tony Mowbray as interim to end of season then step into the Techincal Director role from the summer with him charged with bringing in the new manager
  4. He is giving me Spanish Claude Puel vibes here, so negative when we lead and constantly has the team playing with the handbrake on. You see glimpses and cameos of what we are capable of but he isn’t brave enough to go for it. Amd there you go we concede the second from sitting back and gifting the initiative to the opposition again. Get him gone.
  5. Cracking 1st half very good patterns of play we were aggressive and good to see us move the ball quicker to take advantage of transitions. Unfortunately Ayew is so slow and laboured so we are unable to fully capitalise. This is the biggest 15 minutes of Marti’s career, if he can get the team to maintain this level then maybe just maybe we are starting to see what this team is capable of producing, however if there is a big drop off and we sit in and invite pressure we will inevitably concede and potentially lose the game.
  6. Skipp covers so much ground, absolutely busts his balls he has been superb in this game and becoming a very key part of this team
  7. Swap Jakub for Begovic and Okoli for Vestergaard and this would be my starting XI
  8. Agreed, when you look at the cold hard facts the likes of Winks, Soumare and Daka will cost us somewhere in the region of £7.5m -£10m this season in wages, bonuses etc, so if we cannot shift them in this transfer window we are stuck with them and that means we need £3.75m - £5m just to service that commitment for the remainder of the season, so imagine what level of cash we need to run the whole club for the rest of the season, it’s absolutely eye watering stuff. The club has an opportunity to massively cut its cloth in the summer but make no mistake this is going to be brutal and need some innovative thinking and leadership to stand any chance of building some sustainable future and success on and off the pitch.
  9. I had that same thought myself 😀
  10. Agent % can vary, for example I know an agent who was representing a player and they were due to sign a 3 year deal with a club, the agent was going to get paid 100k up front as part of the player signing then 3% of his earnings for the first 2 years of his contract. This can be deducted and paid by the club or by the player to his representative directly.
  11. It was more understandable and easier to explain away when we were effectively using this facility as factoring for larger transfer fees to then reinvest on transfers and wages ourselves. However fast forward to now and given we haven’t been very active in bringing new players in except for frees and the odd loan, and this facility is against future parachute payments then it’s showing the well has run dry and it’s now a case of using this facility if and when required to help manage day to day cash flow and running costs.
  12. It’s definitely very very concerning, especially when you add up everything that went on since the summer, over £50m of transfer fees recouped yet our only incoming business was loans and frees. Marti paying his own compo, the delaying of the early payment of Christmas salaries, the ‘mix up’ regards the stewards food voucher. And now this and it all points to significant cash flow issues.
  13. When he is on his game can be excellent but unfortunately also has a calamitous mistake in him way too often. It was obvious he was one who clearly checked out and has been angling for a move away for the last year or so. No doubt the fact we overpay on wages has meant this is an initial loan with an option at a very reasonable fee. The reason we struggle to shift players for any thing like a decent fee is because we pay extortionate wages, it is massively hampering us in clearing out the deadwood.

  15. I get what you are saying but for me whilst this isn’t seen as a major oversight by some or something to rant or vent about, it’s yet another example of the lack of awareness by the club, another own goal, another incident where they have failed to read the room. We were promised a closer connection, more communication and yet since that point the club have managed to score a number of own goals, some bigger than others. It’s just another example of the fact that is club so out of tune with its fanbase.
  16. Not sure that makes him the problem given just how far we have fallen, I would say he was filly justified in calling out these absolute Willy pullers for destroying our great club.
  17. There are no words, our greatest ever player and not an acknowledgment of his birthday, this is not Leicester City FC anymore but KPFC or Aiyawatt & Rudkin FC. Our club has been taken away from us. Conform or you will be treated like you never existed. Fecking disgrace and yet another in a long line of absolute bullshit decisions from the hierarchy.
  18. Massively lack creativity, 1-0 down and barely laid a glove on them in the last 15 minutes.
  19. There was a report via BBC that Marti was still under pressure despite the West Brom victory as the performance had been so poor not sure this will have done much to alleviate the scrutiny. A bad result and performance next week and in think he is gone.
  20. I appreciate we are leading 2-0 but Xg of 0.62 against a league two side yet again shows how ineffective we are as an attacking unit to create genuine chances.
  21. I had some sympathy for him when it looked like he was being pressured to play certain individuals, however to not give Evans decent minutes today is absolutely inexcusable, no reason he couldn’t have had at least a 30 minute run out to show what he is capable of and gleam some decent experience. Shameful decision from Marti.
  22. Cardiff given a transfer embargo by the EFL for failure to submit 24/25 accounts by 31st December deadline ……
  23. I think people are mistaking much of the criticism and frustration as to our current position as us not being appreciative of the success we enjoyed or that we are confused and divided as to what we are happy to become. The two are not mutually exclusive, we had our success with a very good model, however our decline is not because of FFP/PSR. My anger, frustration and disappointment stems from the piss poor decision making by the powers that be and then align that with reckless spending on transfer fees and wages, not to be confused with ambition, but on absolute bang average players such as Perez, Bertrand, Vestergaard, Daka, Soumare, Winks, Coady, Skipp, Ayew, BDCR, Edouard, VK ….. I could go on. The refusal to accept any accountability and responsibility for this decision making, Top and Rudkins insistence on not sacking Rodgers when he had clearly checked out, aside from Maresca, our woeful recruitment of managers. Our refusal to shake up our football operations and bring in an experienced operator to rip it all up and start again. My anger is not because we are mid table in the championship nor because we are no longer challenging for champions league positions and winning the FA Cup. It’s because we have zero plan, zero strategy and we have managed to destroy our club from a position of strength by making shockingly bad decisions along the way that were completely avoidable which has left us with a squad full of overpaid average players who carry little in saleable transfer assets bar Abdul and some promising academy products and a manager who we recruited from the bargain bin, whilst we await the results of a potential points deduction for PSR breaches that could put us in danger of relegation to league 1 and the brink of financial meltdown. My anger is because I no longer recognise what our club stands for, we are not innovative, we are not a disrupter, we are no longer a family club, we are no longer united as a fanbase. We are no longer fearless or Foxes never quit, in fact we don’t even feel like Leicester City Football Club anymore, our history beyond KP is pretty much forgotten about and ignored by the club, the club has now become a vehicle for KP, Aiyawatt and Thailand, who happen to play in blue and in Leicester, but it not the club I recognise anymore, even from 5/6 years ago. The worst part of it all, is that I feel I have lost my voice as well as my club, if anyone dares to raise these issues, you are often labelled as entitled, there is even cases where dissent in the stands is met with verbal or physical abuse. It is like being in a abusive relationship with a narcissist, continually being gaslighted that what has happened and what is continuing to happen isn’t reality and that we should be eternally grateful for KP and Aiyawatt as we really don’t deserve what they do for us. Hopefully that explains where I am and perhaps others, I genuinely fear administration and what that could bring, I never asked or wanted the custodians of my football club to gamble with the very existence of the club to try and gain champions league football. This was not a calculated risk, as you can have a contingency to remedy the situation if not successful, this was absolutely irresponsible and reckless without a coherent plan, strategy or mitigation in the event it went wrong.
  24. Interesting they are operating at 68% wage to revenue ratio, in 23/24 we were still operating at over 100%
  25. Whilst infrastructure build is excluded from FFP/PSR it does still cost real money to build and maintain. This is the issue some times you could as a club be compliant on PSR which is effectively frigging numbers on a spreadsheet but have your business/club in a critical position because you have insufficient cash reserves to service day to day costs. I don’t think the training ground was a waste of money, it’s a fabulous facility however I would question whether we were really in a position as a club to be able to justify and support such a piece of infrastructure. I think it became a vanity project, which could end up being a financial millstone around our neck. In the same way if we were to have expanded our stadium to over 40k capacity and then went on the journey we are on now, we would be in a similar position, as we would have burnt through large amounts of cash to fund and maintain the development but then be in a position where we couldn’t maximise it’s potential because we have dropped off so far. In short our decision making on football aspects has meant we have hamstrung ourselves massively, we had champagne aspirations infrastructure wise and wages wise but back it up with lemonade and flat lemonade at that decision making. The result has been a disastrous on field decline and a club in near financial meltdown.
