Marti Cifuentes appointed new manager
Claudio Fannieri replied to Tuna's topic in Leicester City Forum
You could twist this the other way to say should he also be castigated after each and every game we don’t win when we are literally less than a quarter of the way into a season and he had 2/3 weeks of pre season and inherited a situation that was pretty precarious in terms of a squad where half wanted away or needed to be sold and a group of players who’s morale was rock bottom after such a demoralising relegation last season. Performances haven’t been vintage but is removing that soft underbelly, reintegrating players who wanted out and building a connection with the fans again. All in all 3rd at this stage ain’t that bad considering all the above and we are currently ahead of both Saints and Ipswich who looked far more stable than we did coming into the season, so maybe he should get some credit and patience from the fanbase. It could have been a lot lot worse. Yes there have been bumps in the road but at least he is learning from those mistakes. -
He absolutely saved the club when we were on our arse, it was a rollercoaster ride but set us on our way back to what ended up in the best years of lives. RIP Milan

What a player and more to the point a great attitude and seems to genuinely love the club, absolute breath of fresh air.

Jordan James joins on loan - Official

The funny thing is, I think this is the kind of market where we generally excel, James, Abdul, Mads have all been young players not costing ridiculous money, it’s definitely an area where Glover seems to do well. -
Swansea 1-3 LCFC, post match thread

Great result to get back on track after 4 draws, we are 3 points of a Coventry team who are top and playing unbelievably whilst we have not really clicked yet, once we do I think we will be a real force. Yes there has been some bumps along the way but I like what Marti is doing in terms of creating a team spirit again and building some solid foundations to move forward with. -
According to footmob he is showing as injured until mid October
-
BDCR has done enough to keep his place and Ramsay needs to earn his place back in the starting XI only complaint is no Nelson.

Some great names on that list i would add Tommy Wright, Andy Peake and although only a loan Kevin Campbell. -
I know we don’t like the scruffs but fair play and credit where it’s due Cov are a bloody good side and frustratingly we kept them pretty quiet and should have won.

It was a bit blowy and wet but was quite good like having a cheap facial certainly blew off the cobwebs 😂

Thanks pal much appreciated 😊

I think he is seen as the alternative to Vestergaard, whilst Faes and Okoli are viewed as the partners to either JV or BN, I think we want a ball playing cultured defender alongside a more aggressive partner. Hence why Nelson hasn’t had his oppprtunity as yet, whereas both Faes and Okoli have been inconsistent. After the Preston game JV had been very good until the 2nd half of the Wrexham match and his awful error for the equaliser, so don’t think he will lose his spot just yet but wouldn’t be shocked to see Nelson given his chance in the coming weeks if Vestergaard has another poor game.

The Subs changed the momentum the other way from previous games, moving James into the 10 didn’t work and it killed our attacking intent and control, allowing Wrexham to get a foothold back in the game. Definitely 2 points dropped. -
Would have loved to have seen Nelson involved even if only on the bench but really not much to complain about, the changes make sense and it shows Marti is prepared to change it up and try new things at the top end of the pitch, let’s hope it clicks tonight.

Massive thanks and shout out to the club who have published an article on the website and app 💙🦊
