How many before 19.00 BST Monday 1st September?

I agree, if in the unlikely event we end up selling either VK or Faes then I could also see us bringing in a defender on loan -
Bilal El Khannouss (Stuttgart loan, official)
Claudio Fannieri replied to lcfc_forever's topic in Transfer Talk
In this instance I back the club, clearly we had set our stall out that unless the terms of the release clause were met and once that expired our valuation was met, which seemed fair, he would not be sold on the cheap, clearly given his performance at PNE and subsequent absence from the squad, rumours of being disruptive in training, the club have somewhat had a gun held to there head by BEK and his advisors and have taken the decision to move him on in the best interests of squad harmony. This says a lot more about BEK than it is damning of Rudkin. At least the club have had the sense to shift him on rather than be stubborn dig there heals in and potential derail the season. -

But by which time he would be down to 2 years on his contract and therefore it would still be £10m profit and no sell on % to Genk as effectively break even on initial deal. -

So many different reports of fees and now one source says a loan, truth is we don’t know so perhaps best to sit tight and see what is announced by the club. -
Thanks so much for the donation. Really appreciate it 👏🏼👏🏼

One month tomorrow I’ll be lacing up my running shoes for the start of this year’s Prostate United challenge 🏃♂️💙 For the third year in a row, I’ll be running 5km every single day throughout October to raise much-needed funds and awareness for Prostate Cancer UK — this year proudly representing Team Leicester City ⚽💙. It’s a challenge that means a lot to me personally, and while it doesn’t get any easier, the cause is far more important than the miles. 🙏 I’d really appreciate your support — whether that’s a donation, a share, or a few words of encouragement along the way. Please see link to my just giving page below. Together we can help make a difference. 💙🖤 https://prostateunited.prostatecanceruk.org/fundraising/stephens-fundraising-page450 #ProstateUnited #ProstateCancerUK #LCFC #CharityChallenge #RunningForACause

I think it will be £25m + add ons gives us circa £10m profit on PSR -
Will Alves (loaned to Huddersfield, official)
Claudio Fannieri replied to davieG's topic in Transfer Talk
Think a loan for a season will do him the power of good much better than 10 minutes here and there every so often from the bench. -

Is there any evidence to even suggest we have accepted £26m all I have seen is a here we go and no mention of fee. Initial rumour was they offered £26m reckon it will be undisclosed but with add ons be closer to £30m -
Julián Carranza (joined on loan, official)
Claudio Fannieri replied to LestaLad's topic in Transfer Talk
Thanks pal -
He is more right sided but can play on the left similar to McAteer.

Jordan James (joined on loan, official)

This would be a real quality addition. -
Can play either side and would be a great replacement for McAteer.

Is it a loan with option/obligation or is it a permanent deal? -
Perhaps we won’t replace BEK but bring in Murphy and move Stephy into the number 10 role.

We need to remember this lad has only just turned 17 and has so much physical development to come, he has been thrown in the deep end and it’s been a baptism of fire but there have been moments where you can see his talent. I think the preference from all sides would be for him to be used as an impact sub initially and then as he develops begin to rotate and start a few games.   Monga was nowhere near as effective starting last week but has looked excellent coming off the bench and I think that would suit Page as well but given all that he has just got an assist under his belt and will have learnt so much from these two games where he has got 55-60 minutes under his belt in both. Patience are needed by us as fans with all the younger players as there will be moments of absolute genius and then moments of frustration but what I do love is the youthful energy and the attitude that they want to run through brick walls for the manager and club, which is a refreshing change from witnessing the likes of BEK and Winks effectively checking out.

He has been called out regularly for poor performance levels, so in same way deserves praise when he plays well and last night he was excellent, worked hard broke up play and was neat and tidy, in fact everything you want from a midfield destroyer. A bit like Soumare seems to be very much a confidence player and Marti seems to trust them both which I think will see both players grow and improve their game. Think as the season develops Skipp will become an important cog in the side. Also seems a really good pro who works hard and doesn’t get involved in shite.

Also BDCR is the wrong side of 30 whilst this lad is 22 it’s completely different.

I think Leeds, Spurs and Palace all have another nibble before the transfer window closes and I think we will show we are happy to do a deal as long as it’s structured in a way that we comfortably secure £30m+ so the add ons will not be that unachieveable. -
Marti Cifuentes appointed new manager
Claudio Fannieri replied to Tuna's topic in Leicester City Forum
This reminds me so much of Pearson when he came back for his second spell as Manager, he walked into a club which had spent fortunes on bang average players put them on high wages and we had a squad full of disinterested players and a few bad eggs. It took him time, a good few transfer windows and at times a lot of the performances weren’t pretty but he quickly identified the bad ones, built the nucleus of a side that he could trust and ground out results until he could stamp his mark on the team with his own signings. I see so many similarities with Marti and if we stick with him I can see us being in a very good place in a year or two. It may mean sacrificing the odd ‘better’ player such as BEK and Winks to ensure we have a close knit group, it feels like we are back where we started all those years ago when Nigel walked back in. This has the same vibes and I really do think we have a bloody good one in Marti, he gets us and he gets the club. -
People are focussing on the fact he isn’t great on the ball and yes it definitely needs improving but his main job is to defend and I would argue of our current crop that he does this the best, he is relatively quick, great physical presence and really aggressive, he is a brilliant partner for Vestergaard and would be great for Nelson but I think at present it would be just a bit too inexperienced as a partnership and I don’t think we can afford to play Vesty and Nelson together as we would be a bit of soft touch IMO. He also seems to care, I like him, yeah he has a mistake in him when on the ball but last two games he has been superb with his defensive work.

Claudio Fannieri replied to lcfc_forever's topic in Transfer Talk
Ahhhh fair enough -
I would be happy with this type of move, given he has worked with Marti before, he will understand how he wants him to play and what he expects from his striker. We need to recognise that we are not necessarily looking for the next Jamie Vardy regen, and the right profile of striker could unlock so many goals for the team as a collective.

Claudio Fannieri replied to lcfc_forever's topic in Transfer Talk
Probably the fact his mother as his agent has been peddling and linking him to pretty much every premier league club in existence and then his behaviour and attitude over the last couple of weeks may have raised the odd doubt or red flag too interested parties. I really hope we manage to reach a compromise over the next couple of days and get him gone out of our club as I don’t want to see his sulking face anywhere near our team again, regardless of his talent, there is definitely a very questionable attitude when there is a sniff of a move.
