Marti Cifuentes appointed new manager
Claudio Fannieri replied to Tuna's topic in Leicester City Forum
He is still having his game time managed as he is just coming back from a very serious knee injury. -

I would love to see Nelson in the starting Xl but I have a feeling there is something not right since his injury or the issue he had in pre season. -
EFL Refereeing Abomination Journal 25/26
Claudio Fannieri replied to Bert's topic in Leicester City Forum
Stupid tackle by Ramsey especially when the ref had shown he was more than happy to get the cards out early doors. However what should get even more attention is the offside decision in the 1st half when he allowed Oxford to take the free kick 10 yards in our half, absolutely appalling refereeing. -
Previous seasons a goal down and a man down at half time we would have capitulated and lost, instead we have given it a decent go in the 2nd half and certainly deserved a point. We have a manager who’s in game management and subs often make an impact. A point gained given we played 3/4 of the game with 10 men, but in reality had we kept 11 on the pitch it’s a game you expect to win comfortably. Work rate and use of the ball in the 2nd half was excellent. The performances of Riccy, Winks, JJ bodes well moving forward.

He is when he is focused and motivated. Today he has been different class lets hope this is the Harry Winks we have for the remainder of the season -

Agreed the over reaction by the Oxford players certainly influenced the ref who let’s be honest had been woeful since the game started. There will be more controversial decisions in the 2nd half, even Soumare’s yellow was a bit card happy so early on. -

Whilst we have been a long way off our best we were starting to control the game and getting on top just as Ramsey got sent off. Really hope we can regroup at half time and come up with a game plan to get back in this game. Personally I would make 5 changes and go for broke. Riccy P for Thomas JJ and Winks for Skipp and Soumare Monga for Mavididi Carranza for Ayew -

Very silly tackle didnt need to be made and given the ref is such a shocker. If we can get to half time level think we can regroup and still get the win. -

I think Page and Nelson are fitness doubts and not being risked quite rightly when we have sufficient cover in the squad. No point risking anyone for the sake of it. Again the similarities in approach from Marti as to how Pearson used to manage. Same with how they are managing Riccy P’s workload. -
Watch hour-long Marti Cifuentes special
Claudio Fannieri replied to davieG's topic in Leicester City Forum
For context the question was in regards to impressing in training from a physical standpoint, he also mentioned Page. in addition he also gave a nod to Riccy P for his intelligence and Winks and Vestergaard for how they always want to talk football. -

It’s going to be a long hard season, if this level of performance both in out of possession is the standard. Way off it, will struggle to score 10 goals this season if we play like this every week.
-
We look so undercooked, Man United look so much sharper than us. Decision making in possession is so poor and we look so slow and laboured.
-
Bumping as it’s the weekend and hoping everyone is in a jolly mood to share ahead of the challenge starting in October 😊 https://prostateunited.prostatecanceruk.org/fundraising/stephens-fundraising-page450

We may well have made an offer but it doesn’t mean it was anywhere near what is being reported or it could have been an equivalent package so included a decent basic, a hefty signing on fee, yearly loyalty payment, bonus payments linked to promotion and survival and a salary increase on promotion. Put all those together and it could be the equivalent of a £100k per week salary. For example as a free agent we could offer him a 4 year deal and £4m signing on fee which is effectively £20k per week + a bonus on promotion/survival of another £1m that season which is another £20k, a £500k loyalty bonus each summer which is another £10k per week whilst an increase based on promotion could also be added of another £20k per week, so basically in the championship we would could have offered as initial package £30k basic plus signing on fee which would equate to £50k for the first season + promotion bonus + loyalty bonus at season end. So not an horrific outlay but still a contract offer that an agent could spin was up to £100k per week.

Without knowing the offer from Betis or how much of his wages they were prepared to cover it’s difficult to judge or comment as to whether the club should have accepted the offer, however given we have moved a few players on this summer for reasonable offers, I think it’s safe to assume this wasn’t an offer that was that attractive. Would not be shocked if there is quite a lot of interest in January and that we get a few offers hopefully in and around the £5m mark and to cover his full wages, from clubs who desperately need a striker to either cover injury or from a club desperate to try and throw the dice to rescue their season.

Aaron Ramsey joins on loan - Official
Claudio Fannieri replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
Another exciting young addition to the squad, Still time to move a couple on to markets that stay open, wouldn’t be surprised if Daka and Faes move on in next week or so and we bring in a couple of free agents. -

This is one heck of a signing wanted us to buy him last summer, really exciting addition and the loan option price is really good value. -

I think we will sign both, Ramsey is an attacking midfielder whilst Jordan James is more of a central midfielder, interesting both are represented by same agency. -

If this move happens I will be doing a very very sexual dance -
Wouldn’t be shocked if this is being leaked in hope of Millwall dropping price for Ivanovic, reckon if we can find a compromise for him we will do same with Daka.

Bilal El Khannouss (Stuttgart loan, official)
Claudio Fannieri replied to lcfc_forever's topic in Transfer Talk
However all of the others signed for English premier league clubs, we instead have had to strike a deal with a German club who traditionally don’t pay out as high fees as they do in England with the exception of Bayern. I think BEK is a bit of a red flag in England, which has hampered us in our ability to secure a high end fee. I have a feeling he will be agitating for a move somewhere else in another 2 years time.
