Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official
Claudio Fannieri replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
I have no doubt he will be gone today, mutual consent, and leave with the pay off he would get on relegation, it’s just fast tracking the inevitable, he actually said the words now is the time to do what’s best for the club. He will accept a reduced pay off to get out now. At least gives the club time to start approaching managers in readiness for the new gaffer to start as soon as the season finishes. -
Not sure on the attendance but yeah there were plenty of empty seats, I would say there was probably 23,000 - 25,000 max there last night. Although the atmosphere was more like 250.

Has zero awareness of what is going on around him, especially where his man is, as poor as Soumare in that regard, poor technically, he literally just runs around a lot, like an excitable puppy. Hopefully given his book value a couple of clubs will be interested off the back of his form last season with Bologna.

No words for how this move has worked out or more to the point hasn’t, had moments especially the game against Spartak where you could see why he was one of the brightest young talents when we signed him but the only thing that has really benefitted out of this move is Patson’s bank balance. What possesses Ruud to play one of our least technically gifted players in a role just behind the striker when normally you want creative players with skill and guile to help unlock defences, defies logic, apart from one run, on the whole he looked so out of his depth it was untrue. Truth is we signed him to take over from Vardy, 4 seasons later Vardy is still here and starting every game whilst Daka has stagnated, lost all confidence and now plays like someone who has won a competition to be a pro footballer for a day.

Listening to his interview on Sky Sports I think he walks tomorrow, he said it’s now that time for what is best for the club. -
Craig Bellamy talking a lot of sense on Monday night football, think he would be a shrewd choice to replace Ruud

Make no mistake the level of incompetence in allowing this to continue is appalling. For a manager to continue to pick the same starting XI week in week out is pure sabotage whilst the board watch on happy to accept such a drop off in standards. Yes we were in league one once but feck me this is as bad as it’s ever been, the only bright spark in such a shit show of a season is a 15 year old given a 20 minute cameo when yet another game is dead and buried. We are awful, lightweight all over the pitch, no fight, no desire, no leadership and no idea how to be solid or how to break down a team it really is horrific watching to see a premier league team look so devoid and incapable of doing even the very basics. And we spent over £80m in fees and have the 13th highest wage bill. Mismanagement all over the place and from Top to bottom. -

Get him gone tonight or tomorrow at the latest and start the recruitment process and have a new manager in place ready to go from the first day this god awful season is done. -
Our pressing is awful, we are so easy to play through, gaps all over the place, and they are just so much quicker than us, men against boys, we look like an under 10 team so naive and clueless.

Good start Bouba just managed to lose his mascot as they walked onto the pitch

Man is absolutely on a full on sabotage mission, get him gone ASAP. How can he pick that starting XI again and expect to get anything other than a defeat to Nil. what a mess this club is. -
Spot on, we have to hope if the club are looking to making changes to how we are structured then we have already got the new DoF lined up ready to go as soon as the season ends. trouble is do we have a strategy for next season and beyond, the club should continually be evaluating performance and be planning for how we want to move forward, however my big fear is we will be as reactionary as ever and do absolutely nothing until after the last ball has been kicked and end up massively behind some of our rivals. Whilst we are not mathematically relegated this season has been enough of a mess that the club could and should have identified the current style of play and model is outdated and not fit for purpose. And have already identified the way they want to move forward in terms of playing style, potential managerial candidates and future squad and transfer strategy. As soon as relegation is confirmed and no doubt greatly reduced severance package for Ruud the decision needs to be made immediately to shake hands, part company and already have identified the short list and be a long way down the road to make the appointment. It is crucial we hit the ground running this summer.

Too make it realistic they could have a second mural which they use from the 80th minute with loads of empty seats.

This season has been so underwhelming and shit, I would love to see 4 or 5 academy youngsters given the opportunity, if nothing else it will reinvigorate the crowd and give us some positivity. Even if we lose at least the enthusiasm of youth will give the crowd something to get behind.

I really can’t see El Khannous staying and playing in the championship. But other than that not a bad side, plus you can add the likes of Mavididi, Henry Cartwright, Jayden Joseph, Sammy Braybrooke, Logan Briggs, Lorenz Hutchinson, Jeremy Monga etc etc could be an exciting season that the fans can really get behind.
-
I actually don’t have a problem with a possession based style it can be really effective and good to watch if it’s also played with intensity, our issue I think is we are quite passive out of possession and when we do get the ball it’s very slow and laboured which means teams have the opportunity to get back into their defensive shape, hence why we struggle to create much. I think a hybrid of still be able to control and dominate the game whilst also being aggressive in transitions where we can capitalise on overloads etc would be ideal.

Ben Nelson - loan to Oxford United - Official

If Sheffield United secure promotion I can see them coming in for Souttar and taking him on a permanent deal. His book value will be somewhere between £7m-£9m so if they can get him for somewhere around the £10m plus add ons, would make sense for a club very likely to be in the relegation battle. -
You may as well add wolves no way we get 15 points and sort out our goal difference to that extent, too be honest will be a Herculean effort to catch Ipswich, muster an Xg over 0.5 in a game, or the impossible of actually scoring a goal again this season.

I think clubs in the premier league absolutely take their fans for granted, safe in the knowledge that daytrippers, influencers, tourists and hospitality packages will replace any disgruntled fans, however once you drop into the championship and below it’s a whole different ball game, yes of course on trophy presentation day KPFC will have an entourage but in reality no matter who you are a season or three of playing teams like Preston, Swansea, Oxford, Hull etc and no disrespect to any of those clubs, but the hangers on and plastics will not have a bar of it and watch KP and the club come crawling back to its legacy fanbase in the hope of boosting falling attendances. As a club never forget where you came from and your hardcore fanbase because top and bottom of it is, when the good times have gone that is what you are left with and they are the beating heart of the club, so take them for granted and one day, which is coming ever closer for our club and ownership, the bad times are back and you may have disengaged yourself from the very people you need to keep you afloat.

The club have had a long standing interest in Russell Martin, he plays the brand of football our owner and board want to play, he has championship experience including securing promotion, he is available, there is a lot more than a small possibility he ends up our next manager.

Alan Nixon who called us signing Ayew …..
-
Who over the last 12 months have been on the money on a few things about us.

I think managers will still see this as a decent job. Enzo had a decent season with us in the championship, got us promoted and ended up at Chelsea. Which is why we should absolutely be looking at young upcoming managers, sell them the dream of what they could achieve and where it could lead, rather than going for “names” or managers with previous experience but their powers are on the wane.
-
If he was genuinely going to be here next season then I think we would have seen more academy prospects involved in the match day squad.

I will never stop loving or caring for my club, but I am really struggling to recognise or relate to anyone or anything the club in its current guise stands for. Hence why I barely flinch at our results or performances but my posting and venting about the changes needed have intensified. I do feel disconnected to KPFC however I will always love Leicester City it’s in my blood, all I can hope for is significant change over the coming months and a return to something that I recognise as my club both on and off the pitch.
