How have we squandered any advantage? Like when Pearson left. Theres nothing to say Maresca would of been successful with us in the Prem, and even if we got a good start like Pearson did in 2014 doesnt dictate the whole season. I think its a blessing, if the board havent got a short list of 3/4 now tho thats where the worry lies. They will want a possession guy, those that think BR has blown 10 years of Infrastructure or whatever, I say look where Villa were 5 years ago and how quickly the two teams have swapped places. We need somebody with something to prove
-
Lets get Poch in and finish higher than them next season while also pocketing £10 mil compo, upgrade. Poch had Southampton in the top 10, if the Man utd job isnt available for him and Maresca goes, I dont see any other high profile prem jobs. We are a better long term project than Brighton despite the last 2 years.

KDH and Mavididi rocking the sunglasses morning after, glad they arent starting glad Coady is. No mads, Stolorcyk has done alright when he has come in.
-
Set the target 50 points please, probably need about 15 wins as this team doesnt seem to do draws.

Id say Vardys house party watching the match looked way more fun than a few players dancing around the pitch, the atmosphere on that home game against Everton for the title presentation was buzzing. It was also a fun atmosphere v QPR in the 5-1 last day of the season great escape season in 2015.
-
Really thats the blue print to get points against top half prem teams, and his more possession based with also be needed against anyone 11th and below.
-
I dont know how much control any team has playing 20 passes in the defensive third, control is possible with and without the ball.

Southampton 5-0 post match mutual touching frisky party

So if we beat Southampton 5-0 and they beat Preston 3-0, I guess we just go and win 8-0 on Monday then, enjoy the moment. -
I said in the pre match best way to win this was without the ball Southampton 67% possession
-
If we win our next 2 games we are going to be having a champions celebration on the last day and not be bothered about Leeds v Southampton (I dont see Ipswich winning both of next 2) hopefully this then creates an atmosphere like we had against QPR in 2015 in the great escape season on the last day, knowing the job was already done.

Compare this game to last seasons game away against them in March. How anyone cant be more confident of this game than that one is beyond me. Last season they beat us the way Millwall and Plymouth have done recently, they dont play like that as much now, far more possession based, and as seen in the 4-1 there style actually allows us to play to our strengths of fast counter attacking, let them have the ball if they want it, less possession in this offers a greater chance of winning by hitting them in transition quickly.

Boro beat Leeds we beat Southampton promotion Tuesday night
-
Wed win the league with 10 points regardless of what the others do.
-
If the strikers play better in a 2, why cant Nacho play as one of the two almost in the Shinji role between Midfield and attack a 4-4-1-1
-
If we dont trust any of the 4 players how about trying Mavididi as a striker and putting Albrighton in the team?
-
I just seen possession stats Southampton have averaged 66% possesion, we have average of 62% so the top 2 in league. Where it differs, they have had 1700 ish more touches than us over the season, but still had around 450 less in the defensive 3rd than us. We have 1700 less passes than Southampton in the attacking 3rd and only 110 more passes than Leeds in the attacking 3rd despite having 3000 more total touches than them.
-
So try in reverse maybe start Justin and bring Doyle on when the pace of Fellows is less affective after say 60 mins when he may be a bit more tired. Just ask Justin to not be so forward thinking, we need to get the balance better, we have scored first in 3 out of the last 10 games and are getting far to easily hit with the counter attack. To such an extent that when we lost the ball against Plymouth, I could sense they were going to score less than 10 seconds afterwards.

If the transfer embargo goes ahead then unless its a seriously good price, surely wed have to look at other ways to balance the books? Given that survival/promotion would be worth 4 or 5 times what KDH is.

I guess if the deal is better value for money than we have done in the last 3/4 years, it doesnt really matter whether the player is a name or not. As soon as the player gets to being established, they need to move on and be replaced for the next protege. Which I get is easier said than done Southampton had a great run with that cycle until it eventually stopped working. I guess the club has to look at boosting revenue streams long term to be competitive. We skipped the whole mid prem level in both directions.
-
If we have a transfer embargo, could we not just get 2/3 players in exchange rather than money? What good is money if you cant spend it.

Why does it have to be one or the other? Just put him on gardening leave for a month, or just bring in a sports psychologist pay Steve Peters whatever he wants within reason.
-
Puel got a lot of stick but that window of signing Maddison, Ricardo, Soyunchu and Evans is a good 50% of why Rogers was able to be succesful for 2 years. Id say it started about 2 years ago not last year, maybe 3 years ago that Bournemouth 4-1 result was. Id say we need to go back to signing a bit more obscure players Fatawu, Mavididi and Winks arent under the radar players neither is Coady.

Enzo Out? Time for an official thread/poll
Beachyboy replied to SecretPro's topic in Leicester City Forum
You could put him on gardening leave for a month and offer another manager £100k 3 week contract with a £1 mil promotion bonus. We are paying him to do worse than nothing currently. An take part of Enzos bonuses off him if that person was succesful.
