  1. Oops, I'm 2 pages behind. Down the pub for this one then. Tough game, Happy with a draw. I'm backing Hamza to the job.
  2. Alan Chivers
  3. Really sad news, a Leicester legend and one of my City heroes in those days. RIP Gordon.
  4. That Corky, is a great idea.
  5. I am going down shortly to lay flowers and to express my condolences to the family who have given us foxes fans the best days of our life. I have been watching Leicester since 1965, so I have witnessed and felt all the emotions that have been thrown at us. We all know we have been so lucky to have had Vichai and his family as our Owners. The best owners any club could have wished for. I am heartbroken over this. Hoping/praying for a miracle.
  6. I thought he had a good game tonight, he has been improving this season, give Puel credit for that. Hope he is not out for too long.
  7. I couldn't agree more, I am thinking for the next couple of matches. We see on Saturday...
  8. Puel obviously wants to move on from Simmo, wouldn't surprise me if he'll stick with Amartey on Saturday, maybe he'll learn from his errors. We are a team in transition but at the moment we can't sort defence out as our new signings cannot play or are not ready to play in the 1st team. As fans we need to be patient with Amartey and not get on his back. With a back 4 I think Pereira will play further forward. When everyone is up to speed then he could play 3 at the back, Pereira and Chilwell wing backs. We have to stick with what we've got.
  9. What a back 4 that was. Rodrigues with that slide tackle. Not sure how long he last on pitch nowadays!
  10. As ive said on another thread. Shocking food and glad when they have gone.
  11. The food I had at the ground the other night was disgusting, and expensive. Worst ever. I was in the Valencia end, doubt that makes any difference though. I will not be buying food at the ground again. As everyone knows getting drinks at half time isnt easy unless you don't mind missing a few minutes. But contactless will make a difference. They do need to upgrade from Compass.
  12. At least be on the bench.
  13. According to the Leicester Mercury Puel has stated he is happy with current squad and will only replace a valuable player should we lose one
  14. Spot on this
  15. Hi. I am due to retire in about 4 years. I can't give you an illustration from experience, however I am aiming to do a flexible drawdown pension. I want to convert my annuity private pension scheme to a drawdown scheme because at present annuities are poor value. Along with the fact that when you die the pension company keeps all the pension pot unless you have made a deal with the company. EG do a joint annuity in case you die first, so that she can still get payments. As she will be included the the monthly payments, what you will receive from a single annuity is reduced . When she also goes they keep the remainder of the pot. You only really win in this if you live to your mid nineties. If there is any money left i shall want to leave it to my family. The way to find out how a drawdown may work for you is to do a drawdown calculator. This is available on the Hargreaves Lansdown website. You do not have to have an account with them to do this. From this you can deduce how the drawdown would work for you if that is the route you would like to take, you can make up different scenarios on how long would your fund last which would depending on how much you take out. You could just draw off the yields for example and keep the bulk of it invested. Of course there are risks to this but for me the flexibility of a drawdown is appealing. You may know all this anyway but just in case you are unaware.
  16. He was very good at Valencia for a couple of seasons, they played him as a number 9. A squad player at Barca. Valverde has told him he will not be playing much this coming season. Ok for Leicester? I think he would need time to settle in but i think he is only 24 years old. But we are overloaded with attacking players at the moment, so i feel we need to sell Ulloa and Slimani before we are able to buy him, but he would be a better option.
  17. Nuno. Predictive text... .
  18. OhYesNdidi is correct regarding Nino. He is successful in his first season then he struggles the following season and usually gets the push. Could be different this coming season with money available to him. Depends if he has influence with the transfers. Mendes usually runs the show on transfers with the aim of making a profit. Will be interesting to see what happens.
  19. Dive. Can we contest it?
  20. Amazing cross from Chilwell
  21. A friend of mine was at the Atletico v Bayer Leverkusen match in the previous round. About 45 minutes before before kickoff very close to the stadium, a couple of Atletico fans let flares off. The police reacted in the usual way, storming in with batons to get at the offenders, whacking any Atletico fan who were in the way. Doesn't matter who you are in these situations. The police react aggressively to any provocation. I was in Madrid, sat in the Madrid end, home supporters very welcoming, not sure if we would be as friendly mind.
