  1. GNR here as well! Going to be my slowest half in a very long time as I’ve not felt this training block at all. My days of winging a 2hr half are long gone
  2. I disgust myself! I have been made to feel really welcome and the people around me think it’s hilarious
  3. I actually feel quite sad to be missing today. My youngest and her dad are using my season ticket as I’m taking the eldest to the Etihad today as she needs it for the 92. She always wants to see them beat Coventry…..I feel like a fraud.
  4. That boy Alves is a bit special
  5. He’s just not very good is he?
  6. I feel annoyed as we have such a strong history of decent keepers and we had to sit and watch that today. At no point did it register with him that he was a complete tit when it came to pratting about the it the ball inside the box. He showed zero urgency and completely baffled me.
  7. I really like the look off him. There was a challenge where he got barged and I think this winded him. Looking forward to seeing what he becomes.
  8. I thought we looked better as the half went on - far from perfect but better. We’re very very lucky to be going in 0-0 at half time.
  9. I fell out of love quickly with the Azura. Had a few cracking runs in them and now just don’t reach for them. I’ve been eyeing up the new Mizuno Wave Rider 30’s. The Wave Rider has always been a decent workhorse of a trainer that I’ve got on with but never on over 10K in them. I’ve got GNR in 6 weeks so need to find a new pair soon!
  10. I found the Vomero Plus’s heavy and not particularly responsive. Sold them on after less than 10 miles of running in them. Shame though as they looked good. Saucony Endorphin? Not the speed or the pro, the Endorphin. Fairly decent reviews but I haven’t tried them. I’m on the hunt for new shoes. Love my Saucony Speed 5’s but not sure what else to try.
  11. Ahhhhhhh Efteling is magical and that’s coming from someone who has an intense dislike for them! At least you have an excuse to go back!
  12. Just at Calais after covering Poland, Germany, and the Netherlands in our T5 camper. Currently on 2087 miles and have loved every minute of it.
  13. Look at Eurocamp Kaatshuevel and tie it in with a visit to Efteling and Beekse Bergen.
  14. Logged in at 9am, 7 tickets in one block but then sold out?
  15. Was the truth behind the fallouts ever posted or have people just ran with something that they believed was true? Were the finer details of his contract shared or is all share based on an assumption? The comments on his IG post blow my mind….grown adults calling him a cnut etc. Anyway, semi decent player and I hope he does well in Italy.
  16. His wife is a phenomenal runner! She runs for Birstall and was first female finisher in the last Leicestershire Road Running League race.
  17. I’ve got wide feet and the Vaporfly fit like a slipper. I’m normally a size 5 and always order 6.5 in Nike.
  18. My favourite EVER race! It’s my second fastest 10K course. No racing for me until the 28/6 and the fabulous Round Sheffield Round and then nothing until GNR for me.
  19. I’m eyeing up the deviate nitro elite 4’s but not sure if it’s just because they look nice or if it’s because they are a fast shoe.
  20. Oxford allocation is wrong. If memory serves me correctly the allocation was circa 1250 this last season.
  21. That’s what we both said it just felt very well Leicester and all a bit of a last minute flung together shindig. The half time ‘DJ’ was so bad! Still, an hour with the teenager who got some fresh air
  22. We left after an hour as it was such an anticlimax. Only highlight for me was Demari Gray - such a lovely chap who had time for everyone and Birch. Birch spoke to fans as if he knew you. Genuine top bloke.
  23. Well. I started nearly 2 minutes behind the tailwalker as there was no way I was running without sanitising my hands! The tree roots are a real trip hazard and I’m surprised that there’s no one near those spots. But yeah, it’s crowded, very ‘run club’ and it doesn’t help when people are running/walking 4 across the path.
  24. If you’re a fan of fast and flat then make your way to Victoria Embankment parkrun in Nottingham. I hated every single step of it as it’s not my type of course however some will love it. A bit of advice though…..find a supermarket/McDonalds toilet as their ‘toilets’ are two portaloos which is awful for 700+ runners. Oh, and if you s*** your pants, be a hero and bin them and not leave them in said portaloo.
