I think many read these threads like they’re live updates, but assuming there is a grain of truth…. Why should we be able to deal with?

Don’t mistake my view for apathy…. Why would I not care about our future? I may have exaggerated…. I’m 52 and went to my first match at 7 and have had a season ticket more often than not…. Tenure as a supporter doesn’t and shouldn’t have a baring on how much you care…. There are just far more things in the world I can get upset about than a win and loss in our first two league games (yes yes, I understand there are broader questions)…. But you’d be making a mistake if you felt I was a smiley, can’t be bothered, happy clapper… Are we really in a position where we need to be as outraged as many appear to be? Nah, I’m not having it…. If I were a Wednesday fan, fair enough…. There is a lot of false bravado on here and I personally find it tiresome… it’s a case of shit or get off the pot…. But stop whining!!! I can assure I’m not a troll…. Most of my posts on here are quite mild mannered…. I really enjoy this forum in the main, but the hyperbolic nonsense some spout is deeply tiring for me and many others I suspect… Remember football forums across the world are, in the main, a reflection of your last result…. I like to believe I’m relatively well balanced person but, your responses seem sensible enough, so I’m happy to respond and suspect we’d have an interesting conversation on this topic over a pint…. We’ve dropped down a division and are squad isn’t as good as it once was…. It happens, am I delighted about it? No Do I think we are amazing well run? No But this whiny tepid outrage is a bit laughable…. LCFC, in my 50 years of supporting them, have been great and very bad…. We’ve got a fresh and exciting crop of players coming through…. I’m prepared to trust ciffuentes and try and encourage whoever he puts in a shirt…. Far more helpful than booing them and spouting off on here… Just a view!

What’s the issue with his attitude? Has he posted/ said something unforgivable? I honestly thought people were shouting Wooot when he came on but clearly there’s been some beef I’m really confused on this one…. He’s has had some bad and some good performances…: arguably our best centre half last year? Yet he’s just not popular at all… He had every right to feel aggrieved

I just got back from Croatia for my holidays…. A restaurant owner asked me where I was from His eyes lit up and we chatted for a bit…. I showed him videos of me, my kids and Dad in 15/16 at the final game… He told me he had goose pimples in 15/16 and he was totally engrossed in the LCFC story…. They are now firmly his favourite second club He knew an impressive amount about us…. A short Kramaric chat too of course! Not many forget what happened in 15/16 and outside of the UK there appears to be huge amount of good will

it’s either Winks or Skipp…. I think you’re right…. Winks was amazing last time out in the championship…. But I just have a sneaking suspicion (maybe more in hope than expectation) that Skipp could come good…. Winks was a different player without Enzo…. It can make all the difference - confidence/ how you’re deployed I can easily see Ayew starting at 9 and having a reasonable season…. With a combo of BEK, Monga, Fatawu and Mavididi in and around him, we could be pretty tasty going forward…

Try and get them aligned if you can…. It’s a ball ache having them on two different timelines …. I don’t know if you’re good with spreadsheets, but I did some fairly basic arithmetic 2 weeks ago and made a few assumptions and opted for 3 years…. But that was based on the rates and fees…. If I could predict interest rates, I wouldn’t be typing on here! The important thing to balance is certainty and over what period you’d like that certainty

Cifuentes strikes me as a sharp guy…. Let’s see what he sees…. I wasn’t aware that he played deeper for Morocco… I go to the ground to watch exciting talent…. And although the outcomes were a bit ‘meh’, he did at least get me out of my seat on more than one occasion…. I shall watch with interest

Time will tell…. I hope and think that he may come good in an organised team that’s well managed…. He did, if memory serves me well, have a couple of encouraging cameos towards the end of the season, but he didn’t really get a run in the side… I suspect we both hope I’m right on this point! I honestly know nothing about Page as I’ve missed most of the friendlies as I’ve been on holidays…. Sounds promising though! (I wasn’t necessarily referring to him as the ball boy by the way, I was just making a point!) Sorry if I came across a bit ‘pointy finger’, but Ayew gets the dogs abuse too and didn’t deserve it from what I saw of him…. It just appears that FT has a number of hate figures and the general ‘thinking’ leads to daft posting… BEK is pin up as he’s easy on the eye, but there is a reason why he won’t go for big money as his underlying stats are pretty poor
