Vestie take a bow tonight. Good to see some mature game management too.
-
Bloody hell Kel, you are an enigma …
-
Thanks - I’m sorted but he tells me Bournemouth is such a small capacity that even home tickets are virtually impossible to get!
-
My son and I are season ticket holders and as he’s at Uni in Southampton very keen to get tickets for this - if they don’t make it to STH’s would be very keen to hear about spares. Cheers.
-
Feel sorry for the player - doesn’t reflect well on us but hopefully Enzo won’t sulk and we get on with the season blooding some of the up and coming midfielders.
-
If it wasn’t predictable I’d be fuming. Haven’t learned a damn thing about game management and subs.
-
No great loss long term but we need midfield cover and we shouldn’t underestimate his physical stature. We don’t have that much size and strength and we will miss the muscularity.
-
The ref was poor but both decisions are defensible - Fatwu needs to learn that in that moment, after a contentious penalty, crowd and ref have heightened senses so more important to keep a cool head. He lost his unfortunately.
-
Nicely put - agree.
-
Enzo needs a plan b that doesn’t involve solely defending and the subs continue to baffle - bad day and fair play to Cov for taking advantage of our shortcomings.
-
Totally agree with this - his cameos had me worried! I also liked his defending from the front - a bit of aggressive pressing that Kels and Patson don’t do.
-
Poor subs and complacency. Some poor decision making in the last third. Last 20 mins were v poor.
-
Agree with this - will do no good to be exposed and he will be in that position. He’s a good player in the right position but versatile he isn’t much.

I’ve been looking closely and haven’t seen anything yet either. He doesn’t look like the answer to our wastefulness but hope I’m at least partially wrong. -
Wilf, Daka and Janik all a bit off tonight.
-
Some blue noses I live close to expect a close game as Rooney has settled on a more defensive set up of late. We’re not great against a low block - hoping they give us some room with them being at home but we might get a bit more of a tactical game than we would have at the start of Roooney’s regime.
-
Pace and movement with the ability to finish - wrapped up in a nice guy. Get him on the pitch more please.
-
Subs made and subs not made have cost us.
-
Please for the love of God get Kel off.
-
It does feel a bit Rodgers’esque - don’t mind the style but need quicker transition. Our front 3 are just not good enough to deliver that.
-
Very frustrating today - moving the quickly from defence is a problem as is our lack of goal threat when we get there. Nacho isn’t aggressive or goal hungry enough and Vards doesn’t have the legs. I think that Mads being so good with the ball is actually a downside for us at times as it’s so easy to pass the ball back rather than create movement forwards. When we transition quickly we’re good but don’t it nearly enough. Missed Winks today too -,KDH had too much creativity on his shoulders with Hamza basically just sitting in and offering little going forward. Welcome 3 points though.
-
An aggressive in-form striker - it’s what we’ve been missing all season despite the wins.
-
Done right it’s the right thing to do as it creates space further up the pitch. We need space there as a low block brings our attack threat down significantly. Hull showed how we find it difficult to break a disciplined defensive unit down.

I hadn’t caught up with that - thanks👍🏼
