  1. It's quite a low bar that though... I'm not seeing a night out (after any of the previous tournaments) with Southgate and Kane as a great night!
  2. There was a cut off date to request keeping the physical cards, it was listed in the renewal email and on the website. You had to click on a link and give your reason. I couldn't get the link to work and emailed them. A new card hasn't been issued, they've just reactivated last years. It was already an adult concession card but no mention of needing a new one.
  3. We moved in 2009 and I do vaguely recall it was pricier than others but it isn't now. I was actually surprised by how reasonable it was. Came to £30 pp and we had about 4 or 5 drinks each, although one was non alcoholic drinks. Definitely!
  4. Haven't been in years, but had a great Indian at Aspects in Enderby on Friday night. We used to go regularly when we lived nearby and it was always really busy but it was surprisingly quiet in there.
  5. I did a couple of weeks ago. First time for months. My mother does it each time she returns home from being out.
  6. I feel your pain and sympathise, we spent 9 months doing ours. Getting good and reliable tradespeople is a massive headache. I can say that when you eventually come out the other side, you'll be proud of the work you did and what you've achieved.

Mine is currently picking up sky sports well... Think he got something in his paw on Saturday, all red and swollen. 15 minutes with the vet and some antibiotics, £130!!
  8. The same clearly isn't happening with house insurance, just renewed that, up £50. And that was my renewal price with the same insurance company. I did comparethemeerkat.com and they were all cira £150 more!
  9. Both are lovely. Sorry, that probably doesn't help.
  10. I'd noted car insurance seemed to have stopped increasing quite as ridiculously in recent months. My renewal came today and it's £220 down on last year. Sadly, I can't rush out and treat myself with the money as this year starts me having to pay £195 for car tax. Better than paying both though.
  11. This is what my mate got when doing his.
  12. Are you new ST holders? If not, they're just reactivating last years.
  13. Which is why i'm guessing no sim/mobile signal required.
  14. Mate has downloaded the ST on the iPhone5, and it all appears to be fine. He did say that the QR code that's appeared is changing so, it seems they may have introduced dynamic codes. If they have gone dynamic, does that require network connectivity? I'm assuming not, as there's no signal at the ground. I think he plans to get a cheap sim to be on the safe side.
  15. I'm not sure if it's still the case, but there was a shortage of it, another forum I use a diabetic was having issues obtaining supplies. If those supplies are being bought privately by some z lister who perceives they need to lose 2lb, it's not going to help those who would really benefit or the NHS. If that's changed and there are adequate supplies, it's not an issue. Our local chemist has an advert in the window, and it states BMI of 29/30 to qualify. So, I think the proper benefits are for obese people, not quick fix types. And, it's very judgemental to group them all as 'lazy, fat people' (not you Jon). There are a lot who would be that, but a lot who have medical issues and diet and exercise either aren't the issue. I might be bias as those are the circumstances of someone I know.
  16. Like any weight loss treatment, the recipient needs to amend their eating habits to maintain the loss after they stop taking it. Assuming their eating habits were the issue, for some people it's not, it's a medical problem. And, from what I've read, there can be a number of significant side effects when you start taking these weight loss injections. Ordinary people, yes, but as ever with these things it appears to spill over to celebrities and, also those for whom it's not a medical necessity but a quick fix weight loss activity. I assume the poster was referring to the influencer types who mention talking it.
  17. Person at a work social event used an inappropriate word, and immediately apologised. One off incident. Seems very harsh to then sack said person 6 years later.
  18. My mate and his brother share a ticket as they both live away, the plan was to have a spare phone and just pass that rather than faffing about with forwarding and QR codes. Is an IPhone 5 too old for the digital tickets to work? Can they both download the season ticket but just use one ticket at a time?
  19. It's a bungalow, so the scaffold requirement for the original instal was minimal. I was therefore hoping the same would apply. That would be great, thanks. What info do you need?
  20. An update on our solar panel and battery installation - 10 panels, 10.3kw battery on Octopus Intelligent Go. The results have been significantly greater than we anticipated. As the install was November, we didn't expect much from the solar element, but just daylight generated PV and was topping up the battery a little. During the winter months, the battery was adequate to run the house all day. It very occasionally ran out in late evening, so only a couple of hours max on full price electricity. As a result, our winter electricity bill decreased by £75 each month. The summer bill is down £35. We only received our export certification in March, with the great weather starting in March, we exported £65. Since then, it's been £85 ish each month. Obviously, we are having exceptional weather but even being a bit conservative with the results, our payback reduces to 5 years from 6 years. It has exceeded our expectations so much that we are now considering adding another 4 to our NW facing roof, to prolong production - it drops off quite a bit after 4pm. Assuming it is feasible to add them on. Is it straightforward to increase an array @Stadt (At max we largely produce 3.5 to 4kw and are certified for 5kw. The 2nd array would kick in when array 1 is down to 2kw). The downside - you do get a bit sad and addicted to the app and checking the performance levels 😂
  21. They're French 🙄
  22. The match or marriage to the orange gimp?
  23. Sanchez making some great saves. Disappointing, Enzo might not want to buy Hermanson.
  24. About 25 min. Can't rush those interviews and the concert....
  25. Trump now FFS!!!
