  1. We've seen what happens when you gamble on a certain footballing scenario and miss out - it would be complete madness to brazenly ignore the rules again, it's time to get the house in order as a priority. This is the only route to being able to spend money again in the future (hopefully more wisely this time!). This doesn't mean no spending either of course. But we need to seek out some cheaper talent, take a few lower priced gambles, free agents and loans. If we want to spend then it should be by offloading the likes of Daka, Souttar, Iversen, Kristiansen, Soumare.
  2. Saying we had a bad summer window when we probably had one of the best windows in the league! They predicted Burnley were more likely to be top half than relegated this time last year by the way.
  3. TV coverage is much better. They will talk about the occasional bad reffing decision but it doesn't become the main part of the program and followed up by an hour long Monday night football on why the decision was wrong etc etc. Much more chilled, and better for it.
  4. We can cheer Ipswich winning their last two to do it instead? They don't have to win this one to get promoted over Leeds.
  5. I wonder if we'll see a free-er Leicester against Blackburn. With the promotion pressure off I think we win that game pretty comfortably. Would say the same about Preston but that largely depends on how hard the partying has been.
  6. Could start looking like the Ipswich Saints game at the end where Southampton pushed for the win and got stung. If it's level late on Hull will chuck everything at it. They've got to be thinking they need two wins.
  7. Playoffs could be 4 out of form teams with the way things are going.
  8. Option 1 every day. Our success above anything else.
  9. I actually get the enjoy the playoffs now! Can't wait.
  10. Really wanted that title, but tonight I find myself not giving a **** about Monday. Blissful relief. We're back.
  11. Wait this game was after August! Does this actually count as a negative against Leeds or does the Bamford absence negate this?
  12. Best defence in the league 😊
  13. Best. Game. Ever.
  14. QPR are a very decent side under Cifuentes.
  15. Want it over and done with as soon as possible. Really don't want to go into the Preston game 94, 93, 92.
  16. We've been really poor away recently but hopefully with Preston having little to play for they won't be deploying a low block. Should be an entertaining game and confidence should be sky high, 1-3.
  17. Let's get promoted first. Otherwise we could be discussing who we can get in on a free to fill the squad under the embargo. It's not over until there's a P next to us in the table.
  18. I was thinking this a while back too, given they've probably mentally been all about playoffs for a while, and they did play well against us at the weekend. Doesn't change the fact that that's one win in six though, that coming against Rotherham with a dodgy penalty thrown in. They could go into the playoffs in the worst form of the 4.
  19. There's probably not a better time to play then to be honest. Injury hit, fatigued by recent fixture congestion, and now probably resigned to playoffs. Time to step up and get another 3 points on the board.
  20. We do give them ample time to get back to be fair.
  21. Fair point, though they were only 4 points off their final finishing position if 5th (incredibly congested table). Looks like he had them at around an 80 point season pace, which is probably only slightly above where they did finish.
  22. Definitely not worth risking him ahead of the likely playoffs 🤞🏻
  23. Dean Smith finished 5th with a squad which had Grealish, McGinn, Mings, and Abraham in it in 2019. And also had a decent Norwich squad 5th at Christmas as recently as last season. I don't buy that we'd have been promoted at a canter under him at all. It's like people have forgotten Daka on the wing and the 5-3 at Fulham.
