I am just glad I got a wine delivery on Tuesday. I expect I will have at least one bottle watching this...

Ward needs to never play professional football again.

As I said when the Super League was first announced years ago - the two "Big" Spanish clubs are vampires, and they have sucke the blood out of the other Spanish teams by doing all they can to punish them if they perform well, and not know their place. Real and Barca don't want a real "Super League" - they have killed the other Spanish teams and need new teams to gut. They just want a new Spanish league with more international value.
-
This is basically what has happened in the U.S. - if you play in the NFL, NBA, MLB, or NHL you make a fortune. If you play for any of the (sometimes non-existent) "lower" leagues, you are making less than minimum wage. Of course, in the US, sports are exempt from antitrust legislation.
-
In all honesty, Parliament should get involved. A law banning British teams from joining a Super League would be popular. I don't think it is inevitable - the only real support is from US owners and "Big" teams in Spain and Italy. The real problem with the Super League is the reality that it is designed to be a bigger national league - some of the teams who are giants in their countries will become minnows in a Super League, to be fed to Barcelona and Real Madrid.

If the coached name was shorter, he could have used less than 30 words to explain the problem. -

I was literally about to post "Have really gone 10 minutes without them scoring again?" Dammit. -

So, do we have any under-21 keepers? Just wondering... -

It was a lousy 45 minutes. Let's see if changes are made. Last week we were 2 down with 5 minutes to play (although we were admittedly playing better.) -
I think we all want him to step up, but as the song goes, "wishin' and hopin'" will only get you so far.

I am not going to argue against the statement that European football is bloated, but the complaints from "Big" teams in Europe really aggravated me. You know what else is bloated? Their squads. They have to play more games, but they pay more for the players not making their bench than many other teams pay for all of their starters. Oh, my! They may have actually make a player making 150K a year step foot on the pitch! Sorry if I don't feel the urge to weep for them.

I think Drinkwater had other issues, but KDH needs a loan somewhere ... he ain't gonna get many minutes at Chelsea. I have no hard feelings at all. We needed the cash, he got a pay rise, and there you go. I am not sure he is needed here anymore...

A goalkeeper like him is worth more than money ... we look at the guys we have had replacing Schmeichel... of course, I am terrified with Ward even on the bench. And what the name of that horrifying German that came in after we won the Premier League?

Jamie Vardy Appreciation
MarriedaLeicesterGirl replied to GeorgeTheFox's topic in Leicester City Forum
Vardy is unique. Vardy is a legend. Vardy is Leicester. (I have always said I am thankful he is Leicester, because if if he wasn't at your club, you would have to hate him. And I'd rather die than hate him.) -

If you score 2 goals in the last 5 minutes of the game to get a point - you are at least a little itty-bit lucky. -

He was lucky today. I think we have seen marked improvements in his first week, but today he was lucky. But I would prefer a lucky manager over a good one. I am hoping we have both. -
Start Daka AND Vardy I hope you mean. He has a record to break, after all!

Brighton Home 2-2 Post Match Thread
MarriedaLeicesterGirl replied to urban.spaceman's topic in Leicester City Forum
In all honesty, psychologically this tie was as good as a win. (Strangely, for Brighton, it was actually worse than a loss.) Ruud learned more about his squad without actually losing, the owner got some confidence, etc. A good (and even better, a lucky) December could really see us in a fairly good position next year. -
