  1. Really I was just wondering if anyone has seen it happen before, when a club has not been allowed to bring any players in, and has therefore hung on to their existing players, despite them wanting to go . I know you can still sell players when under a transfer ban, but obviously you wouldn’t want to, because then who would play the matches?!! The idea of a possible transfer ban just comes from the rumour mill really, and that Guardian article saying the EPL want to throw the book at us. I assume they will argue that we still haven’t been punished for 22/23, because if we said we weren’t in the PL then, that means we must have been in the Championship. Anyway, there are plenty of threads about that. Mainly I was curious about how a transfer ban would work.
  2. Yes, but if we sold our players and we couldn’t sign new ones we wouldn’t have a team.
  3. If the worst happens, we’re relegated and the EFL impose an immediate transfer ban - I’ve been wondering what happens to all the players who would be pushing for a move? What do clubs do in these situations? Do they force them to stay and have disgruntled players? Or do they let them go and play academy kids? The only significant transfer ban I can remember clearly was the Chelsea one a few years ago, and they had so many players they barely noticed. Does anyone have any knowledge of this?
  4. Yeah, and when he was asked why he subbed off El Kanouss, he basically said “because I’m the manager and I make the decisions!”
  5. Absolutely. We’ve known all along we’re basically a weak team, we knew this season was going to be a struggle, with PSR and having to sell KDH etc. What we needed was a tough proven manager with the strength and experience to take on a relegation scrap. Not a glamour appointment of someone young who has only ever worked with teams at the top of the league.
  6. Yes I’d like to know that too.
  7. I’ve got mixed feeling about this. On the one hand, if we can sell him for good money, we can buy maybe a centre back to help us try and stay in the PL. However, if we’re relegated I think Tom Cannon is the sort of player we’d want, especially as Vardy won’t last for ever and Daka is just too inconsistent.

  9. yeah I know, but you know what I mean! Maybe Amazon
  10. Why are all these sports journalists more disgusted with Leicester, when our legal triumphs are negligible compared to what Man City are getting away with. No one seems to talk about them. It's a bit like Dave the plumber getting done for accidentally leaving a couple of small invoices off his tax return, whilst Starbucks pay no tax at all.
  11. We would have stayed up I'm sure. Everton and Forest benefitted from the 3 promoted teams being awful. We'd have done the same. Without doubt, if the fast-track punishment rule had been in place back then, we'd never have been relegated and would probably be mid table now (even with a points deduction).
  12. When was this press conference? Do you have a link to the whole thing?
  13. Much is said about the PL being pissed off with us for making them look stupid over the previous charge, but as you say, it’s supposed to be an independent panel deciding the punishment. They surely can’t give us an excessive punishment just because they don’t like us.
  14. I think RVN would need to think carefully before walking. Yes if he was lied to then he has every right to walk. But equally he hasn’t earned his stripes here like he had at PSV. He’d done well with them, and walked away when they wouldn’t back him in signings I believe. But so far, with us, his record is worse than Cooper’s. He’s made some dubious team selections, and overseen some horrific player mistakes. So if he walked, he wouldn’t be holding his head high like when he left PSV. He’d be walking away as a bit of a failure, who bizarrely played Ayew over Buenanotte! I doubt he’d get a job at another PL club any time soon, and he’d have to go back to Europe to build up his reputation again. And of course he’d presumably have to pay us some compensation. So I wouldn’t have thought it’s a move he’d rush into.
  15. I’d rather get relegated definitely by a hefty points deduction, than get relegated by 1 or 2 points because of dubious team selection….
  16. As others have said, I'm not sure if we said the PL couldn't charge us because we were a Championship club, or if we said the PL couldn't charge us as we weren't a PL club. It's the difference between being a Championship club and being a "between leagues" club. If it's the latter, then presumably we can use the same argument with the EFL as we did with the PL. Also, I was wondering how the passage of time changes things. PSR is based on the previous 3 years isn't it? So if we've gone some way towards balancing the books (by not letting Brendan sign anyone in summer 2022, and selling Barnes, Maddison, KDH, Enzo etc since then) , surely our figures will look better.
  17. Is Faes injured now?
  18. Can someone give an update on how many seats left? Wondering if it'll get to all STHs. I wish the website would allow people to see the available seats remaining before it gets to their level.
  19. Has there been any news of Mads?
  20. I had no expectations of today. We’ve got players not available, and despite their slight dip in form recently, Newcastle are a way stronger team than us. And they were at home. So I expected a loss. It’s a shame we lost by such a lot, but really my biggest worry is Mads. If he’s out for any length of time, we’re relegated. It’s a simple as that.
  21. I sometimes go to the toilet a few minutes before the end of the game (journey home can take a while!), and at that point the doors are all open, lots of people are leaving, and the concourse is pretty busy. It would be easy to sneak in then.
  22. Can anyone who’s done this away day before tell me roughly what time the coaches get back? Thank you
  23. any chance this gets to all STHs?
