  1. He’s provided the only moments of amusement all half
  2. Maresca either isn’t bothered that Chelsea are slicing repeatedly through an unprotected slowcoach defence… or he is hopelessly out of his depth.
  3. Relax. It was said tongue in cheek
  4. I got poo poo-ed by a poster on here for questioning Mavididi’s mental attitude after QPR. I suggested he looked like a shirker. He hasn’t exactly done anything to change my mind these last two games.
  5. What and risk an immediate club ban?
  6. If he takes that attitude and starts feeling sorry for himself we are well and truly f****d.
  7. We put ourselves in a great position to ‘piss’ this league. Unfortunately we are now in a great position to ‘piss it away’. Home form will be decisive, but unless Maresca modifies his strategy - or at least becomes more flexible and less predictable - then visitors to the KP will do what Boro and QPR did. The blueprint has been set and opposition managers would be foolish not to copy it. Over to you, Enzo. Use the international break wisely and let’s see what you are made of…
  8. Given the evidence of the last few games, not to mention what is going on at the club, it’s hardly surprising. He wouldn’t be human if he wasn’t beginning to doubt whether he is up for this. He has no experience to draw on to boost his self-confidence. That has to be a major factor in his state of mind.
  9. Decent point. Disappointing performance. Again. Too many players out of form. We have to hope that the break will reenergise them and that Maresca can find it in himself to reconsider his options - both in personnel and tactics.
  10. Daka fluffs chance to win game shock. Take the draw though
  11. You’d like to think that a team at the top of the table would play a lot better and with more creativity and attacking incision than this. As for the defence, the way we play I just don’t trust them not to gift the opposition a goal.
  12. Yet Maresca persists with it🤷🏻
  13. The complacency and cockiness of this team knows no bounds.
  14. Right Leicester! Take advantage!
  15. 'Control' (seemingly Maresca's fetish) is NOT sitting precariously and unambitiously on a 1-0 lead. It is cementing your superiority by going 2-0, then 3-0 up and keeping the ball away from your goal. That was an option yesterday. That was THE option. Sunderland were awful when we attacked them at the start. More of the same and I'm sure we would have won with ease. It would be a comfort to hear Maresca admit (despite the win) that he got the tactics wrong - or at least explain why we barely attempted an attack after we scored. Then I might be encouraged to believe that this does not become his craven default reaction to going a goal up for the rest of the season. Because if it is - and let's face it, this is not the first time it has happened - not only will we all be bored to tears with frayed nerves, but the season will almost certainly end in disaster.
  16. Promotion. That’s what we have invested our emotions in all season. I want to see us back in the Premier League next season more than anything else. That said, I am reading some sound arguments on here for FA Cup…
  17. Mavididi and KDH both dreadful. Winks not much better. KDH in the last seconds… wtf was he doing?? So nearly cost us two precious points. Inexcusable.
  18. Time for a statement win. A front-foot dominant fearless display that shows everyone why we are top of the table. Basically the opposite of tonight’s performance (but with the same number of points added to our total).
  19. Doesn’t look injured to me. Just played crap. For our so-called playmaker his final ball was repeatedly horrific.
  20. With Ipswich doing what Ipswich do yet again, I actually feel pretty low tonight. Let’s face it. We were atrocious and very very fortunate to win against a team that, as the first 15 minutes proved, were there for the taking. The manager is starting to retreat into his shell with cowardly tactics and substitutions (a la Rodgers), which does not bode well, and this seems to be rubbing off on the players, inducing a negative mindset. At 1-0 we should have kept our foot down and killed a low-on-confidence, almost fearful Sunderland off… but what we got was this so-called ‘control’ strategy of idling around with the ball at the back, which resulted in lots of sloppy passes (three from Hermansen into touch) that served only to let Sunderland off the hook and allow them back into the game. Then in the second half our attack was non-existent, with Sunderland coming on strong and being denied two decent penalty shouts. Yes, I know, we won, and yes, we are still top, but watching this team has become a joyless, nerve-racking experience. I’m fed up of seeing Leicester get complacent and f*** up their season’s objective on the final day, but if Maresca and the players don’t get their act together, that torturous conclusion could well occur again this May. That’s not being negative. That’s being realistic.
  21. Not sure the words ‘ruthless’ and ‘the Enzo way’ are compatible
  22. We are so cocky and complacent. Knocking it around the back - or directly into touch - when a bit of sustained pressure on their dodgy defence - as in the first 15 minutes - would probably get the second goal and kill them off. Is this down to Maresca’s natural Italian caution? It is so frustrating because these are there for the taking but you can see a mistake from us gifting them an equaliser. A la Ipswich (x2)
  23. Hope so. We’ll soon find out, won’t we?
  24. I may be wrong but his body language looks like that of a ‘not my fault’ sulker. In contrast to the hyper enthusiastic trier on the other wing. He’s had a decent season but now is the time to shine not shirk. His reputation - at this club if not for his whole career - could be made or broken in the next two months.
