I can see your reasoning, but... You indulge the mardy pr1ck just the once and he'll shift the goal posts (no pun) and keep on doing it. Plus you can't set a precedence or you'll have the whole team taking the P1ss. No one is bigger than club as the saying goes and giving him "privileged treatment " contravenes that. He's paid a kings ransom anyway he needs to start earning the "mother effer" and not pandering too.

I don't think Kingy's team selection will.be very much different to Marti's if I'm honest, as he's still governed by the players who are available. Having said that, if we see say Daka starting instead of Ayew (who is then relegated to the bench), and Page for BDCR, Aluko gets a start, and Hamza is bench warming, then this would be encouraging. ( but I don't expect that will happen) But TBH even if we see a form of a "Marti's team Selection" taking to the field, the first 20 mins will still be very telling. The players showing a bit of gousto wouldn't be surprising after a managers sacking and is an "easy fix", by the players. But it's the style, if we look to be actually trying to get it forward with a bit of purpose and our wingers are willing to take players on then there maybe some hope yet. If we are just treated to a carbon copy of the last few games then Kingy may actually have been part of the coaching problem and it makes bringing in a new manager paramount .. Only time till tell......

This will be my only post on this transfer with regards to the Jogging Donkey as he's barely worth the typing energy. I don't care what the fee was. Excellent news that he's gone. One less exorbitant wage on the books. But most of all - FVCK OFF AND NEVER COME BACK !!!!! -
OK So the season ticket money is in their bank already, this can't be changed, therefore if a bum is on a seat or not doesn't really matter from that standpoint, and not really the issue. What's most important here is the opportunity to send a message and crucially that its done in the most impactfull and effective way possible. Something that really resonates, something thats left etched on the media's memory so to speak. So a visual message that will be picked up on a TV broadcast at some point (be it live or hi-lights) showing empty seats for a second time which mirrors the last boycott is a big plus. Then the added drama of a protest but outside the main reception made up of boycotting fans is what.the news boy's and girl's want to cover. Something noisy, something contentious, something that is visually striking and not a normal occurrence 'makes good telly' they lap it up. We need the media to help embarrass the Nepo Baby and KP, make their cock ups more visible and that we as fans have had a enough...

Realistic Managerial Replacements

No he wouldn't. Whilst this division is as you put it dogsh1t RvN was and will always be a poor, tactically limited "manager". Come on, we went an age without scoring a goal in consecutive matches and went on a horrific loosing streak whilst he was in charge. Add in the fact our defence leaked like a colender bur he never showed us he had a plan to rectify that. The standard is poorer now, I'll grant you that, but we are still leaking and RvN during his time with us never really generated with the fan base any confidence that he knew what he was doing or that he had enough about him as a manager to actually get the team out of the sh1tv he had put them in. -

OK Left Rudkin in charge, and as you said this 'was a big mistake.' Due to Teflon Jon's incompetence he has contributed greatly to our current and continuing decline. The Nepo Baby, is blind to the fact of the problems, and was negligent by leaving him in his possession to continue to damage us still, then defend his past recent and current destructive actions and still continue to employ him. PSR (See above re the actions of Rudkin) Sorry no sympathy for him, he allowed the board members and hierarchy to make the decisions to cause the 5 years of issues you mentionin your post. I'll ask this question, is Top as a owner and a so called business man not responsible to know what's going on, and take an active interest in his ventures? Actually perform some due diligence of his own? Sorry but to hide behind the "its OK boss we will be fine" excuse is total BS. His first question should be "really, now explain it to me and prove that its 'OK Boss we will.be fine', and not just take the statement at face value and as Gospal truth. Sorry this is disgraceful and the alarm bells should be ringing. COVID - sorry other businesses and footnall clubs had to to deal with COVID and its world wide financial fall out. OK so it impacted and reduced KP's revenue streams. Funny that, most of our current problems are for breaking the rules(that others are and were at the time of COVID bound by) for "SPENDING TO MUCH" And continuing to do so after COVID had passed. Continuing to reference COVID is a lazy cop out IMO. Making appointments to hopefully improve things... Ha ha really, a Retail manager in a role and business area she has zero experience in. Well done Top. He's actions and inaction have and continue to fail this club.. And you for one still want him to stay? -
Realistic Managerial Replacements

Not sure on Rowett anyhow. But if your smokescreen theory is correct and we end up with Russell Martin I'll be weapons grade livid. IMO him apponted as our manager would be a new level of tragic, HE IS NOT THE ANSWER... The bloke is a incompetent, narcissistic loony, who craves the sound of his own voice and wants to bathe in his own false self importance. Look at the Sh1tshow of a job he did at Rangers, a top 3 team in their league and he was abhorrent. The Rangers fan's hated his football and saw through his BS in record time. His tactics are worse than Marti's, and if we were pulling our hair out with boredom and frustration due to tippy tappy sideways and backwards possession football this fvcktard is on another level. -
Marti Cifuentes sacked - Official
Guppys Love Child replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
I agree KP out, and I'm certainly not blaming the manager for the miss management of club. Thoes fvck up's sit squarely in the lap's of the Nepo Baby and Teflon Jon along with appointing him in the first place. But I will blame him for his poor performance as a manager. A manager who was so confident of his skills to pay his own Compo to come here knowing the situation beforhand with regards to what players he had to work with, knowing the real possibility of points deduction was on the cards, after which the job could potentially be harder, but he still.came non the less. A manager who due to his sh1t team selections (yes not he best squad, but far from the worse) like playing Thomas instead of better Aluko, or Faes instead if the better Nelson choosing to.play lazy dross like Soumare and an aging BDCR when we have Skipp who will.at least work on the pitch or the younger, hungry Page at his disposal - his choices OK not getting any backing isn't his fault but after two or thee matchs and evaluating the players in training and in battle he could and should have made better selections. A manager with poor subs, and in game management, no playing identity, poor fitness training, no plan B, there's plenty of basic failings I'm sorry to say. That's what I judged him on I judged him on the stats listed during and post match, the win, loss numbers , the lack of clean sheets, a league position that was going in the wrong direction.... and he was found wanting. -
Marti Cifuentes sacked - Official
Guppys Love Child replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
Totally agree with your Top and Rudkin point but sacking Marti should (I'm hopeful) change things certainly in the short term. His removal was needed, and the fact he won't be influencing anything in the next match is already a big plus. If as others have suggested he had lost the dressing room then that problem has gone. King needs to be left alone, and i just pray is that he actually has his own ideas, methods, and practices that differ from Marti's catalogue of sh1t. If not, then we may not get the uplift we all want and need. The next two or three matches will be telling. More of the same slow, lacklustre, sideways passing, unclear tactics or lack of identity with general disinterest from players, coupled with dull team selections ie Ayew up front, slowing up play and falling over every 30 secs, when Daka or even S Thomas instead would give us better pressing or the option of stretching the opposition. BDCR when Page is better, L Thomas when Aluko is the better option, etc. we know who's under performed or is a liability and who's faired a bit better when they have made it onto the pitch A lot of us have said similar things and have similar team selections that once the players concerned kick a ball prove as correct. If King sets up his team that differ from Marti's and delivers tactics that us "all wise armchair managers" post here on the forum, then we may see some improvement and also stand a chance once the points deduction hits of escaping the relegation scrap we would have landed ourselves in. Lot's of ,"if's, but's and maybe's" I agree, but the fuse has been lit, so all we can do is stand back and watch the fireworks or see another dud fizzle, splutter and underwelm the audience. -
That's the million dollar question... Until either Marti grabs the bull by the horns and tries it (incredibly unlikely) or someone else, be it King or an external firefighter, we will never know. But what we can reasonably assume is that continue as is and the results will stay the same , so what do we have too loose? I say roll the dice.
-
I have to agree with you, I've said similar in other posts. We are a carbon copy each match. Try something different (Formation for a start) in conjuction with some personal changes that compliment the "something different" Its plain to see on the pitch who isn't performing so start with the worst protagonist and see where.we end up. Just don't do anything Marti is doing ...simples
-
Oh I agree, and its the same in some cases with the in game changes as well. Take out the injured player scenario a lot will swap like for like when something isn't working, with a hope that the subbed player is just "having an off day" Only the truly world class will shake things up with a shuffle in formation and/or swap different "types" of players with a different playing profiles, to give the team something different. The most creative Marti gets is to favour going heavy on defenders with a hope to protecting a slender lead. ( which in most cases just creates more unwanted pressure as the team will than naturally sit deeper)

Soumare is a lazy, uninterested fraud who goes on the occasional barn storming run to lie to fan's that he's a footballer. His tracking back is virtually non existent, and the concept of earning his astronomical paypacket by getting stuck in is alien to him. Hamza is a walking red card that whilst he's unlike "The Jogging Donkey " and willing to put in a shift in, IMO just charges around without any real control tactical awareness, and self restraint. Neither are what our currently depleted midfield need. Their footballing characteristics if played together would hinder not help. BDCR has had a few half decent games, and if Marti does do what we expect and play dumb and lazy dumber then his greater experience than Page's potentially could be the better option, this one is actually a tricky one to call. Page has seemed to do well when coming on as a sub, Mmmmm... I'm not sure here. Please don't think I'm defending the manager with my comments, it's just that I can't share your opinion that Soumare and Hamza together in our midfield should be enough to beat both Oxford and Charlton at home.
-
You post shows something Marti is totally incapable or just plain unwilling to do, that's adapt to the current circumstances and available playing staff. Having the foresight to simply just trying something different because the 'status quo' isn't working. His only action will be to shoe-horn an half compatible makeshift player into his already failing system so as not to disrupt his football philosophy.

NO ... If the B-Tec "Rodger's Wanna Be" Russell Martin arrived as our manager I would take a sabbatical until he too was sacked, I hate him nearly as much as Rodger's himself. Russell Martin is a fraud, and I detest is brand of so called "football" Who could and would come here? Like our club I too have no idea. (Me because I don't run in those circles, the club because history has shown them to be clueless incompetent tw@ts on that front) But most importantly I think it's more of a case of getting Marti's influence and possibly his very presence as far away from team for a start which in turn could offer some benifit. Some have said give it King until the end of the season, that would certainly give us the removal of Marti's influence, but his would only stand a chsnce of working if King was allowed to be his own man with his own ideas, and they simply have to be different to Marti's current 'catalogue of errors' which are proving at present to not be working.
-
Pains me to say it, but I don't. IMO this team looks crushed and mentally broken. Wrexham gave us a glimpse of that. The post match actions and reactions of some of the players according to fan's who braved it certainly adds credence to that possibility. Yes Marti has been dealt a relatively duff hand, but due to his own inadequacies he at present isn't getting the best out of them, and never will as he's unwilling.to change, adapt and try something different, even if that's just a 3-5-2 or going " route one" just to keep the opposition guessing. The concept of changing from his "mid table ways" isn't an option for him. @Pita said to wait until the summer and the natural ending of contacts clearing the decks then change the manager, on paper this seems to make some sense, but I don't think we can afford not to act now, once the points deduction hits and we are embroiled in an instant relegation scrap this already fragile and mentally broken team with this appalling out of his depth manager won't survive. (We are struggling now in our relatively 'pressure free' mid table position) We have to roll the dice and try something as I feel relegation to League One will near on destroy us. We can't survive on a league one income.
-
OK I can see your reasoning. But using a pecking order or 'next in line' as you put it to include them, over what positives they would actually bring if played, along with equally calculating what problems they would cause and then analysing the needed positive trate's to be a benifit to the team (and identifying that they both surly lack these) , sorry I can't agree with. I wholeheartedly agree that Hamza should be nowhere near RB. I guess the crux of my 'argument' for the want of a better word, is that IMO their inclusion would cause more problems during the match, as per the reasoning in my original post. They don't have the needed key components to make Marti's admittedly rubbish tactics work. He lacks the ability to learn and adapt so his approach to the game will be a carbon copy of previous games and these two aren't the answer, and their failings will only compound the issue.
-
So you have continued with Soumare and Hamza in the middle, why? Your other changes I can understand but those pair offer fvck all to the midfield. One a lazy, uninterested, fraud of a player (due to his occasional out of the blue 'drive forward' ) the other a tackle happy walking red card, who runs around a lot without any real direction or tactical awareness. Neither will offer any control or and ounce creativity, and protection of our shoddy defence will be minimal at best.
-
Then I'll lend him my mums gardening gloves and buy him a £10 voucher for Palmers out of my own money if it got the useless tw@t and his influence away from the club.
-
Your first point I can agree with, can't be any worse, as long as King is his own man with his own idea's, it as to be different to Msrti's approach, or its pointless. Your second point we have a problem. This is the Nepo Baby, Rudkin, incompetent board et al we are talking about here, they have had 3 stabs at appointing a manager post Enzo, and all 3 have been fvcking abysmal, what makes you think they get it right in the summer. The only way we get a better manager is if the current b3ll ends have gone, taken Rudkin and the other crap and we have new owners doing the hiring...
-
I'm not laughing mate. I totally agree with you.
-
Personally I'd can him now and finally get rid of his influence from the team, with a but of luck we may then have a fighting chance to pick up some points, and if that's before the deduction, all the better. I'd much rather have a potential points "cushion " of say a match and a draw post deduction. But we all know how short sighted, and incompetent the club is, so nothing will change, and they will act true to form and start sh1tting themselves when it's too late or not act and get us relegated....
