He assisted Vardy in the cup against Birmingham, but hasn't assisted him in a league game since September 2019.
-
He'll do well to make the match day squad, let alone see the pitch. Simply doesn't fit into 'The Idea'.
-
Scheffler is slowly but surely grinding everyone into the dirt.

What odds Tiger withdraws before the final round? Don't think that leg can make it through 4 rounds anymore, and he's fallen way out of contention now.

Controversial opinion - scrawny Rory from 10+ years ago would have won more majors by now than pumped-up muscly Rory.

League One & Two - 2023-2024 Season
SouthStandUpperTier replied to Wymsey's topic in General Football and Sport
League One is the last league up the pyramid they can pump money in with impunity. They are only allowed to spend 60% of the club's income on player wages, but that income can include money injected by the owners. It'll only start getting difficult once they reach the Championship. -
Not that it will happen, since Enzo is a slave to his 'idea', but I bet Vardy and Daka would love to play alongside Nacho. JV and Nacho's record as a partnership is ridiculously good. And Daka's best performance, scoring 4 in Moscow, came playing in a pair with Nacho.

Is it any wonder nobody wants to go up? Look at the Man City/Luton game today. 5-1. 37 goal attempts to 4. Who wants any part of that? Totally uneven contest. And the gap between the haves and have nots will only get wider. -

You're right in that we don't keep enough clean sheets. But we are far from porous. We're conceding less than one goal per game on average. We have the second best goals against tally and xGA (behind Leeds). We've only conceded more than one goal on 7 occasions. 6 of our 10 defeats have been 1-0. We are definitely not porous. -

Our defence isn't porous though is it? We've basically been done twice in a weak by teams that have had one chance and taken it. It's our attacking play that has fallen off a cliff. -

Yep. I'm actually more optimistic about the next two games against WBA and Southampton than I am about the last two against Preston and Blackburn. -
Last time we played WBA at home was the infamous game where Brendan flew into a rage because the players had the temerity to play fast, attacking football and go 3-0 up by HT.

Leeds lose. Sky to bring out the black armbands and hold a minute's silence. -

Optical illusion. It just appears that way because we hardly make any. -

And shite. Would you back any of us, Leeds or Ipswich to get more than 20 points in the Prem at the moment? -

Surely Blackburn can't survive this pressure for another 20 mins. -

Even just mid-table form over the last couple of months and we'd be promoted as champs already. -

Didn't think it was possible, but Leeds fans look more inbred than ours. -

Maddison has brought a new level of flakiness to Spurs, but unfortunately didn't take ours with him. -
12:00pm kick-off.

Moaning about tiredness can be a self-fulfilling prophecy. If the players keep hearing Enzo say it often enough they'll start to believe it. It also gives them an excuse to keep churning out half-arsed performances. We've also got a bigger squad than almost everyone else in the league. Just a suggestion - but maybe start using it?
-
Twins?! Could make for a messy succession battle. Congrats anyway Top.
-
I also don't see any 'fluke last minute wins' there. The WHU game we maybe got a bit fortunate with the last minute penalty to snatch a draw.
-
Playing all those 3 yard 1-2's with Vesty and Wout is really taking it out of him.
-
Tbf it was actually a fairly difficult chance. 0.08xG according to Sofascore. But the fact that he headed it in completely the wrong direction was typical Patson Daka.
