As we move beyond the environmental, social and governance (ESG) hype bubble it is time for business to recognise that, irrespective of short-term market sentiment, an economic transition is inevitable. We cannot do business on a dead planet, and we can be certain that business as usual will not continue. Although the window for action is narrowing, businesses still have the opportunity to protect their long term viability and success by working to reshape the markets on which they depend. I totally understand and empathise with Trump and Farage, they have a short term window to make serious money from their happy clapper followers. However I do not understand the happy clappers who believe the words that come out of their mouths, it's them that'll be counting the cost. TBH they deserve it and I look forward to the day the industry milks them dry, but that's not in keeping with the human tone of this thread

Yep just genuinely never ceases to amaze me how all those who vociferously hate snowflakes are indeed snowflakes. Like imagine being scared to go into town

Went to herb before a show at the Y theatre on Friday night. Very good, hadn’t been there for years, forgot how good it is. Fairly priced too

A variety of lagers in the new street station spoons pre match yday after I accidentally sent a pic of us (including table number) to another mate. Also had a fried egg, small pot of cheese, apple and a banana

Christ you sum up the snowflake wokiness that has unfortunately destroyed our country. In my day men had a backbone, now they’re spineless woke left wing lunatics. We need to end this madness before it ends us

Nobody! I dunno what she does all day but is nose to the grindstone everyday from 08.59-17.00. Lunch from 13.00-13.59 everyday. Which begs another question, in whatever her job is how does she never have meetings out of these hours and how does her work end at exactly 17.00 EVERYDAY. Why is she never sick, drunk, hungover, on hols or wfh? She occasionally giggles to other people when they make small talk with her (‘isn’t the weather simply awful’) but that’s it.

Presumably most have received their tickets for this. I haven't, looking like a reprint at the ground on Saturday -

Foxes Trust Reform - the final step
grobyfox1990 replied to Foxes Trust Reform's topic in Leicester City Forum
What a fantastic effort from the reform group. Respectfully, competently and shrewdly worked together to engage a swathe of the fanbase and do what they think is right. Huge respect for all of them, I will remain in touch with their announcements and tell any other city fan who dares to complain to me about the club to get off their a4se and join. They have inspired me to launch a similar grassroots initiative to take over the social committee at my employer. For too long these company lifers have controlled our social budget. No more pottery classes!!! -
Wtf happens in Ibiza after closing parties? Isn’t most of the island shut down? £3k seems loads given all the fun will be gone. You’d be better off putting that money to a table at Hi (two minors) for a night, party, go home

True. His only job is to make the rich richer and to smash the working classes. He is doing that very well so Godspeed.
-
He is a senile batty old man, he has no idea what he is seeing, wouldn't try countering it. Anyway markets are up and gold is nearly at the big 5k so he is doing the job he was voted in to do, kudos to him for that.

Overall global economic losses stemming from disasters, including thunderstorms and earthquakes, totalled about $260bn, according to the review by insurance broker Aon. Happy clappers are right tbf, climate change is waaaaay too expensive, just not for the reasons they think it is

That’s brilliant, thanks!

FIFA World Cup - USA, Mexico, Canada - Mooted Boycott
grobyfox1990 replied to Sly's topic in General Chat
Absolutely no chance anyone will boycott, the contracts with various commercial partners will be ironclad. No one, including everyone on this thread, morals are that high when your wage is at stake. Just switch off, pay it and it’s partners no attention. Don’t click on any media stories. If you wanna watch games do so via iptv so you don’t add to viewing figures -
I'm not sure how I am doing it then. The phone with my ST does not have signal and is not connected to any wifi signals. It's factory wiped other than for my LCFC ticket. I drag up near the gate for every home match to get the right match ticket. I am going to the game on Saturday, maybe I connect to some rogue LCFC wifi to update it. Never given it any thought tbh

I (along with an idiot mate in our early 20s) flew to Milan after a night out in London for a pizza. Agree it was insanely nice. But wow Milan is a horrible dump of a place. Good thing is there were very few English/American tourists ruining the place.

Yes, obviously, is this a rhetorical question? They voluntarily use Androids.

Everyone under the age of 65 uses apps and tech in almost every single part of their working and personal lives. This will be a minor thing to figure out compared to daily challenges we all face in tech. Luddite-ism as a defence of this is a big stretch IMO.
