  1. With our financial constraints I wonder if we'll have to set our sights a little lower. Perhaps Neil Warnock is looking to cross us off the list of teams he hasn't managed yet.
  2. Is it wrong to want Leeds to win on Friday so we can have a proper celebration when we secure promotion at Preston on Monday night?
  3. Maybe not... we've won the FA Cup, League Cup, Community Shield, Premier League title, Championship title and League One title. I suspect that Brendan has identified the League Two title as the biggest domestic trophy we are missing, and is getting us into a position to challenge for it in 2025/26.
  4. 12th September 11:55 am
  5. Seems to be rather arbitrary what is considered "respectful" for this weekend. A football match with a minutes silence and black armbands would be inappropriate, but doing the Great North Run in a bear costume is fine.
  6. Kasper's not the only former Fox in the south of France...
  7. Hmm, stopping off in France to speak to... Laurent Blanc??? If I suggest that here, will it appear as a Twitter rumour later?
  8. Iain Dowie has been available since 2010. He'd have to get a lift to training though, he's currently serving a ban for drink driving.
  9. Please stop calling Brendan a twat and a bell-end. He may be many things but he doesn't deserve... ...okay, I take it back.
  10. Yes, positive instead of negative chanting needed, like when Kasper takes a goal kick we should shout "Ooooooooh, you're great! Ahhhhh!"
  11. I thought Stuart Atwell did a decent job yesterday, all things considered. The Premier League should be congratulated for embracing inclusivity.
  12. I think Wycombe may be wearing their second kit, which was also unveiled today. It is *far* worse than ours - gold with white sleeves and shorts. Still, better than them wearing last season's away kit, which was red and white quarters to commemorate the 20th anniversary of a certain Roy Essandoh fuelled FA Cup run.
  13. Totally misread that and thought Leon's stepfather was Bild Bailey.
  14. Last game I got to was the Wigan FA Cup game in January 2020, which also had a singing section. It was the same week as the lad's birthday, so I'd got hospitality tickets as a treat. We were all dressed up, had been shown to our table for a pre-match meal by Ally Mauchlen, and then sat in the posh seats to watch the match. The lad looks across to the singing section and says "can we go there next time?" He was right, it looked and sounded amazing. I think the match itself was a bit dull. Apart from the singing section, the only other thing I remember is a pitch invader running the length of the pitch attempting to hurdle the hoardings and falling on their face.
  15. i think that tomorrow will be 60 days since revealing the coming season's home kit, with the away kit still not announced. is this some sort of record? if so, you'll never sing that.
  16. Specifically STHs who waived the offer of a refund for last season.
  17. Strange that Spain are not represented at all, despite reaching the semi-final (unlike Portugal, France and Switzerland). I don't think its just Foxes bias that I would prefer Schmiechel ahead of Donnarumma, not just for his performances between the sticks, but for his contribution during *that* game.
  18. Was it just me that spent yesterday afternoon singing “Soumare, woah-oh!” to the tune of Volaré?
  19. Yes, Darnell was excellent in 2018/19 pre-season, while first team regulars were resting after the World Cup. His disastrous loan spell in Scotland was even worse than you suggest because that red card (actually a yellow that was somehow upgraded to a red after the match) was for a nasty looking tackle on a Celtic player in front of Brendan Rogers just a couple of weeks before he joined us. I don't think Ndukwu is entirely to blame for his unimpressive Southend loan spell - we was brought in by one manager who presumably intended to use him, but that manager was then sacked and replaced with Sol Campbell. I guess Campbell wanted a more physical profile of player, as Layton sat out the rest of his loan period rarely even making the bench.
  20. In the first game of his loan spell in Scotland he injured a Celtic player in front of their manager Brendan Rogers, who joined Leicester a couple of weeks later. I think the main reason why Brendan joined the Foxes was so that he could take vengeance on Darnell Johnson's career. Seriously though, I thought Darnell was the outstanding player in 2018/19 pre-season while first team regulars were rested after the World Cup, and its a shame he never really got another chance to show what he could do. Hope he gets another chance in the Championship or League One.
  21. I think you missed one permutation where GD could come into play. With Man Utd: - If we win both our games, while they draw both of theirs - If we win 1 and draw 1, while they lose both of theirs
  22. I think it was the mid-nineties when I first heard a football commentator describe a shot from an acute angle as being from "a cute angle". Seemed amusing at the time, but common parlance now.
  23. just seen the third kit. wow! can't say much for obvious reasons, but i hope you're a fan of gold. i mean, actual gold. as a fine chainmail. and white shorts.
  24. The owners of the eleven successful European clubs (and Tottenham) are shameless. JP Morgan are bankrolling it, and are probably most likely to back down if the fans realise that and start to direct their anger in that direction. https://www.jpmorgan.com/contact-us
