Leicester v Middlesboro - Tuesday 4th November
Gamble92 replied to beepee1984's topic in Leicester City Forum
It's still something I can't process in my head that we are talking about players signed for £20m+ and some for a European push. Yet we have no hope for them playing games like tonight. Wouldn't be so bad if I didn't keep seeing them linked with the likes of AC Milan and Sevilla even now. -

Best bit about that is no wife for the evening -
I did hear this suggested recently but I assume it would have come out it news if so

Why isn't there an attendance for Saturday?

Just got visions of him holding a ball under his right arm on the LCFC homepage with some sort of headline like "We're not hiding from the start we have made" and I'll probably click on a link for BC game by mistake

Protest at the Boro game. Mass walk out?
Gamble92 replied to Pliskin's topic in Leicester City Forum
You just know every single person in that stand owns some inherited semi detached in Market Harborough, and plays sudoku whilst complaining about the state of the Vietnamese economy over a game of bowls with their WEF funded Tory Donor friends. -
Refusing to get out the shadow of this make believe story of how we had magical owners is exactly why we're in this ****ing mess now

Leicester 0-2 Blackburn POST MATCH THREAD
Gamble92 replied to Muzzy_no7's topic in Leicester City Forum
I could write so much about all this. Some of us called it in 2020 and earlier. Just got back home. Day cost me about £150. Don't want a medal. But I do ****ing hate how much I invest in this and keep on being let down. I don't know what to say anymore -
You sort this by not playing them

Marti has shown he is not good enough. He needs to go. Today was an embarrassment. I'm sat in the shit pub across from the station and this fat woman is doing my head in. This days gone to shit.

Leicester 0-2 Blackburn POST MATCH THREAD
Gamble92 replied to Muzzy_no7's topic in Leicester City Forum
What were the tactics today? Genuinely if I had one thing to cling on to I'd be all for Marti staying. I like him as a person. He certainly has more about him as a man than someone like Rudkin or Top will ever have. But let's stop pretending he's doing a good job or this was inevitable. It's a disgrace. -

Should Rudkin and Top **** off? Yes. But if you think that excuses Marti then you genuinely know nothing about football. -
Leicester 0-2 Blackburn POST MATCH THREAD
Gamble92 replied to Muzzy_no7's topic in Leicester City Forum
Really hit me today just how many people around me don't give a **** and that was always the start of this. It's not something most of the "fans" are willing enough to try and change. I'm not naively saying we have the ability to change a lot but if this was happening at a club like Leeds they'd have been so much more done.. We are where we are though aye. Entitled aren't we? -
Hate the way some fans jeer him in the stadium. Don't know what you want to achieve with that.

X country train strike Nuneaton Saturday
Gamble92 replied to Ballie1981's topic in Ticket News and Travel
Stop moaning. Walk it if you need to -
There's a lot that get to the top of that system by buying them and selling them to fans like the user asking for tickets in this thread.

Was that before or after our FA Cup win? Everything plays it part in the end. Even Peter Taylor destroying us led eventually to us winning the Premier League. It's all part of the story. I just wish we sacked Rodgers after the start we had to that season. Was lovely to pump Forest 4-0 but you can't help but think of he doesn't win that he goes and we are probably a Premier League team now.
-
It's really not gone to plan for him. After leaving Celtic the plan was quite clearly to put himself front and centre of anything we did and be a shoe in for a big 6 job. Fairplay, the first 18 months or so we were probably the best we have ever been as a football team. But we all know what happened next. He overseen our biggest ever spend and we got worse. As he started to realise his dream jobs were slipping, he didn't give a **** in the slightest and we are here now. Started to blame everyone but himself when he was as much to blame as anyone. He had the chance to leave us twice apparently. In terms of his career trajectory he's probably wishing he had. Even this stint at Celtic was supposed to land him a job on the level Ange got. The manner in which he's left will probably cost him that now too. The Turkish or Greek league awaits Brodge. Cya.

Brendan Rodgers Resigns from Celtic
Gamble92 replied to Clever Fox's topic in General Football and Sport
Rodgers also came out last year saying how much he respects Rudkin and Top for all their hard work. It's why I don't suddenly start praising Susan Whelan for anything because ex staff come out praising her. I have ex bosses that I liked. They were shit at their job but I'd praise them more than any decent manager I've had that I hated. These people get paid a hell of a lot to keep their mouths shut or were extremely well paid under them. They aren't throwing anyone under the bus because it has too many repercussions. -

Record investment, distancing himself from any of it when it all goes wrong. He's got more front than Bognor Regis hasn't he? -

Never seen a manager try and preserve themselves to the detriment of a club as much as Rodgers did that last 18 months here but it's great to hear it said in a statement that's going to be read out everywhere tomorrow morning. Might change the media narrative around him a bit. Doubt it because part of his rise to where he is has been getting so many journalists as pals. Going a bit deeper, it's actually quite alarming behaviour from him. There was stories from a the board member in his time at Liverpool who said he would be offered signings and say no to them and then go to the media and say there's no money available. Sounds like he's done similar here with his contract situation. Strange, strange man.- 130 replies

Thomas will be suggested for the freedom of Leicester after a 8.1 performance on the left that will bring comparisons to prime Ashley Cole.
-
There was one saying Rudkin had overseen the Premier League win so should have a job for life. You have to assume Top is naked with a bottle of JD and Laptop open in Leicester Travelodge writing them himself at this point. No I have no idea why I specified naked either.
-
As bad as we were after the first 20 minutes, if Thomas could defend I don't think we'd have lost. He was beyond bad and he's had a few games like that now. I wouldn't get too hung up on the extra contract. It's been done to avoid losing him on a free. Although I can't really work out why they turned down the bid from abroad.

Waghorn last minute. David James stood there. Scenes.
