I am with most in that we need some investment in the squad next season, especially in light of our senior players getting old and out of pace, such as Morgan and Simpson. We need to dig deep and work out a way that keeps the winning mentality the club and the players had and carry on. An “overhaul” is definitely not going to bring us success. Careful planning and adjustment will. Players like Vardy and Fuchs etc with their total attitude of commitment are very hard to come by, and they are what made the success of this club. We should pay over the odds for Vardy to stay - it is ridiculous that he is on only 100k a week when he could easily earn 3 times that elsewhere and he is so important to the club. His attitude feeds the winning mentality of this club. When he goes, we will be lucky to just be in EPL let alone fans dreaming to become top 6 again. As for Puel, I really like how he checks out all the players there are at the club and not rush to buy his “players”, wasting money and missing out on home grown talents. So many other clubs do that and ends up with a pile of debt and lost opportunities (eg. see Aston Villa - they specialised in changing managers with each manager buying new players, ignoring previous expensive signings and young players at the club - we benefited too through getting Albrington on a free). I say give him a chance to lead for a full season.

Agree. I like how you recognise Iborra’s greatness in positioning but Choudhury is also good in this regard. Plus he can pass. Definitely a better defensive midfielder to have than Wilf who cannot pass or dribble.

Like Ndidi? I agree. He was helping his defence out a lot by positioning himself for a pass from the horrible Morgan and Simpson; unlike Ndidi who never wants the ball at the back because he is not a great ball handler himself.

His main problem is his delivery of the final ball. Just very poor.

But this style of possession dominance only gets us mid table at best. We lack the killer instinct of two seasons ago. We need to mix it up a bit more. We cant do counter attacking all the time but we do not so this anymore which makes us easy to defend against in the final third.

Thought the midfield was decent second half and Nacho and Diabetes were good subs. Morgan and Simpson were the weak links. Silva and Choudhury were good second half. Was quite impressed with choudhury actually especially in that defensive role just in front of the defenders.

Can Morgan try to head the ball to where there are Leicester players?

Morgan is now the only weak passing link in the team. Imagine if Drago is there

This sums up why Drago needs to play. Puel wants the team to play on the ball. Drago is much more comfortable with the ball. Morgan breaks things up and it has impact all the way up the pitch because others know once they back pass to Morgan it is over. It really impacts on play.

I am afraid we will not be our best again with Chilwell and Morgan at the back. After mistakes of the past few games, Fuchs and Drago should start.

Fuchs should start instead of Chilwell. Drago instead of Morgan.

Need to start Drago instead of Morgan.

As a LB, first and foremost he needs to be a consistent defender without making too many mistakes. Unfortunately, he keeps making them.
