Jordan Ayew (interest confirmed by Percy)
Paninistickers replied to iancognito's topic in Transfer Talk
BdcR playerd 80 mins, Mavididi played 10. I'd call that ahead. When Mavididi came on, the difference between him, BdcR (and Vards tbf) was light years.. -

It's tragic. I really want Cooper to work but that's Ward ahead of Iversen (unforgivable) BdcR over Ricky, Mavididi and Kasey McAteer Soumare ahead of McAteer and Ricky Ayew It's heartbreaking tbh -
Just plain bad manners. Like starting your dinner before everyone has theirs. Selfish, unintelligent, uncultured, disrespectful, ill mannered behaviour. Apart from that, it's OK.

The game would've been over after 20 mins, like last time v Spurs during Ward's previous, calamitous, relegation causing run. I find it extremely worrying that Ward was on the bench ahead of Iversen last night. I've no personal truck against Ward, but if he ever steps foot on the pitch to represent us again, I'll leave the stadium. I can't and won't watch that agony again.

Steve Cooper: The Tactics Thread
Paninistickers replied to SecretPro's topic in Leicester City Forum
My point was you can't just isolate a player's weaknesses ignore their strengths and deduce a net gain. Wilf last night won two defensive headers from corners and cleared off the line from another. Ideally the answer is to play twelve men. But unless you are one of the big five, that wouldn't cut it. -

Yeah, but that's to look at in isolation. How many interceptions and tackles would Wilf make compared to Skipp? Wilf's Inspector Gadget telescopic leg wins the ball were often he has no right to win it. -
💯 Excruciating isn't it?

There's a middle way tho. Mads was kicking long and we surrendered possession immediately. We need to have a pattern drummed in to keep possession from restarts. We looked devoid of coaching)tactics in that respect. I don't think we used (or trusted) Vesty anywhere near as much as we could last night. He's integral. -

I'll be horrified if BdcR starts regularly. Seems a nice lad and honest and deserved his applause....but we need more than just good attitude and work ethic In fact in terms of attitude, work rate and ability I'd rate Mavididi (light years ahead) Ricky and on his last 10 mins last night, McAteer all ahead of him on all counts -

First half a complete waste of space with Ricky and Mavidi sat with splinters. He was as ordinary as ordinary can be second half. Not bad, just kinda competent. He got - and deserved - a decent round of applause but we can do mikeis better -
I think playing in his preferred position was always gonna help, rather than that weird LCB role of Enzo He's our best defender by mile
-
Very very strange. Wonder if he has struggled to meet his fitness metrics or something like that Id play him ahead of Fatawu, BDCR for sure. Or instead of Wilf. Amazing tbh Still, as someone says, it's a long season and he'll show what he's made of.

Seeing as we are likely to be 6-8 points down, we are gonna have to win some non 'must win' games to stay competitive. I think playing an undercooked Spurs at home is as good a chance as any of sneaking an unlikely win. Remember when we beat Liverpool with a full reserve team, 48 hours after our previous match and Hamza at centre half? Lots of effort, bit of luck and it's 3 points -

I see it as buying membership, rather than buying a season ticket. I go.maybe once a season and that will probs remain the same. -

He's preaching to the converted there. As a member of the club, that comes.with obligations. Ask (demand!) the current membership to find one new member each (or consider buying a second membership if you can't find a second member) . At a stroke the membership is doubled. The club need to convert the armchair punters,.like me. Years ago I think it was Nico who said although our crowds were small, there were thousands.who follow us on Teletext. It's very true. Fwiw, I will sign up for 2025. -

I can believe that tbf -
He can buy Madders' West Bridgford mansion off him and live alongside all our other 25 millionaires hosing money into their economy.

Ricky usually doesn't post one of them mural things of himself if he's not playing. So I'm hopeful he's in.

I'd be interested if participation levels pick up too as a result.of the hundred. That's they key. I drive past the Oadby Wyggs ground occasionally and there is pitch after pitch of mini rugby being played. Rugby being, in my opinion, the nearest 'rival' participation sport. I'd say these last 25 years (since the ECB decided to destroy the game after the ashes with its no free to air deals) Rugby has motored past cricket in terms of both crowds and participation -

I guess the beeb are protecting their investment by promoting the shite. Yet it can't be worth it for them. Whatever they've paid (or been paid!) it isn't enough. Can you imagine them sidelining Wimbledon and force feeding us Padel instead? That's the rough equivalent If it wasn't for the BBC, the hundred would be dead on its arse already. If only the ECB had had the balls years ago to insist on free to air coverage for normal cricket. -
Whelan is Rudkin's line manager. Whelan is also ultimately responsible for PSR, the draconian ticketing policies, the insults to tradition with all blue kits, the money laundering sponsorship shambles and the deference to Thai tik tokers. She isn't fit for post.

I've heard sky commentators complaining earlier in the season about the absurd pause in the t20 tournament and today, the superb Somerset commentary were waxing lyrical about what a great day the 50 over game is for the average punter. It's hard to describe how detestable the ECB are (and have been for the last 20 years), hellbent on damaging its own sport. -

Well played County. An honourable defence of their title. Congrats to Somerset. Shame on the ECB that this super tournament at great grounds over the country isn't on even an iPlayer or sky. -
