  1. You know, I'm one of those weird people that think, particularly for Villa, we need that with Wilf at the top He's very fit and strong. He's a nuisance. He'll lead the press and despite his misses, he actually has that occasional glimmer of skill in the box (saints away last year, the cross for KDH at west Brom) Skipp looks really tidy and I just like players who have a good touch. It buys you an extra half a second all the time. We need fitness,. strength, speed and a bit of arrogance v Villa. And play it 'cup tie' style
  2. Just the way Whelan likes it.
  3. Ward. It's gross misconduct.
  4. Iversen is no better than who? Ward? Are you serious?
  5. Fair comment. It's the principle. Tbh I don't give a shit about the cup this season and as you say, he's unlikely to see much action. It's just Cooper's Liz Truss moment. It ain't normal and it's plan wrong. Bit you're right, the game itself is almost an irrelevance
  6. I understand you bozo. I'm saying any manager that plays him at a level higher than, say, league 1 max, isn't right.
  7. How can people get upset about the midfield when Ward is playing?
  8. Iversen is employed by us and paid a very large wedge. He trains. He risks his body every day. He fcking plays. If not, then we play a Youth teamer
  9. Iversen. Or a youth teamer. Dead easy.
  10. There are better semi pro keepers. Not all. But plenty. On that basis, as a professional, he's amongst the worst
  11. He's one of the worst professional goalkeepers in the world, that's why
  12. It's unacceptable A man I reckon out of 2000 professional European goalkeepers he'd be in the lowest 250 An absolute disgrace Cooper
  13. Ward. I'm sorry Steve but you're out for me. That's unforgivable
  14. I doubt Rudkin knows which one either tbf Agent has just told him to bid 10m and he'll sort out a foreign player at a later date
  15. Got Clough written all over it, hasn't it? Edit Trying to avoid hyperbole, but we are at the point if we need to question whether Rudkin is well 😂
  16. Makes perfect sense to me. He can play back up to the world's worst professional keeper. Then Iversen will be happy to back up to the new guy. Then Stolarcyk in January can be an extra back up, to the world's worst keeper, just in case.
  17. I'm not his biggest fan but he's really fit, committed and miles better than bdcr
  18. I enjoy eurostar but the time/distance benefits are overegged imo.. Door to door via East mids or Brum would be about the same as Leicester station via St pancras Eurostar
  19. The lad is pushing for the move. Any decent negotiator would tell Genk a take it or leave it and let the player do all the hassling. Sadly,.the absolute basics of business are beyond this adminstration. They get played time and time again. Maybe Woodward at Man U and West Ham's porn addled minds were/are as bad as we are..
  20. I don't think Cooper can even remotely coach that system. And I'm saying that as someone who was pleased to lose Enzo and largely pleased with Cooper's appointment. Tbh, if you dismiss the first 25 mins of both games, we've been OK. Not great, but not bad. Thing is, by playing a team at only 80% of its potential, both games could've been vastly better. And that's all down to Cooper. It's like he's given up two good players for lent.
  21. He's by no means perfect but the partnership with Vesty is one of the few reliable (even allowing for the unreliability,.if you see what I mean) parts of our team
  22. I get your point but it's a naive, fanciful thought. Put it into the context of a normal workplace. If your employer made around of redundancies and you'd survived....then to see the same situation looming again, you'd be entitled to look elsewhere rather than staying out any sense of responsibility.
  23. It would be a disaster to lose him. But I totally get why he wants out. He's trying to protect his career by avoiding a second relegation. I'd do the same in his shoes.
