  1. Another player (in an ever increasing line) woefully mishandled by the club. Play the right set up - low block, encourage long balls in - and he's excellent. Brentford away and Newcastle away good examples of what he can do when played correctly. But nope, we employ managers who don't wanna play like that.
  2. Same mate. Raised my own concerns on this from the off. As did a few others And,.coz I like being a smart arse, also in (july) 2020 was my first post calling Luke Thomas out 😉
  3. 24 hours on, it's kinda hard to fathom what on earth the manager is doing / is trying to do. Things become even more confusing as the dust settles, just when you'd expect a little more clarity.. Trying to avoid repeating points that we all already know, but I find particularly baffling 1. Our best performance was Swansea away. And most of us agreed that Daka leading the line worked (to an extent and when compared to what we'd seen before and seen since). Yet he was dropped 2. The manager's seeming preference for physically weak and slow players. Thomas, Carranza, Bob Reid all painfully weak and painfully slow with no pay off on terms of talent. If you're a manager with a dearth of talent and a dearth of pace,.go for fcking muscle/size
  4. Not disagreeing with that. But good managers find ways to work with what they've got. There's sufficient evidence from both players that with the correct defined role and when playing without their confidence completely destroyed, they can contribute. For now.
  5. I'm convinced a good manager could get enough of a tune out of Skipp and Daka to tide us over. Both need a run of games, settled position,.some tactical instruction and some confidence.
  6. Someone on here suggested to check out his highlights reel when we signed him. . That was all the scouting that was needed. The red flags were waving high and proud after a cursory 3 minute YouTube viewing
  7. Yet another sickening cameo yet inspires so many adjectives. Feeble. Weak. Anonymous. Limp. Absent. Insipid. Feminine. Atrophic. Dandy. Vague. Wispy. Edit; flaccid
  8. Exactly this. He was a 5/10. That's his absolute max..an off game for any normal player. I'd be like Enzo in that he wouldn't make the 25 man squad,.let alone the bench, let alone emergency cover, let alone the first choice. He varies between 0/20, averages 2/10 and peaks at 5/10. No sane manager would touch him.with a bargepole. Enzo wouldn't. Chris Wilder wouldn't. Michael Carrick wouldn't
  9. I have to agree. I think that fact is the very lowest of the low to hit. It's like being below Coalville and Harborough Town. Sickening beyond comprehension.
  10. They aren't. The striking options aren't ideal but a good manager makes a silk purse. If you gave Mark Robins at Stoke a summer window of Faes, Vesty, Winks, Hamza, Ricky, Okoli, Stephy, Abdul, JJ, Ayew, Nelson, Monga and even Daka, Soumare and Skipp...we'd be miles ahead of where we are now.
  11. Never seen much of him but what little I see, he always looks the part. Reminds me of John Stones. He just looks right. To the manor born.
  12. But he won't. He will see us into the abyss, even see himself into financial ruin rather than show any humility. Said it for years. He'll annihilate us
  13. Formation, training, tactics aside, no manager who rates Carranza Thomas and Bob Reid is worthy of a job.
  14. Fair play dude. I think he's up there with Danny Ward and Luke Thomas
  15. They are garbage. And more or less the best this garbage division has to offer
  16. That cross form Thomas ffs
  17. Mate, literally every player in league 1 is better than Luke Thomas. I'd take Hamza out of position, or Faes, or Ricky, over Targett anyday of the week
  18. People moan about our squad yet the first two names I hear mentioned for this garbage are Luke Ayling and Matt Targett FFS. Our squad is miles ahead.
  19. Didn't say that. Just said if you took LT out (and Carranza) we'd be higher Lots more changes, personnel and tactical, would see us towards the top. If not top.
  20. Agree. There are 7 players ahead of LT who I'd play at LB.
  21. Nope. It's a squad more than capable of automatic promotion. It's a mix of the mood round the club and a seemingly likeable manager who's out of his depth. He's been handed a dream, life changing chance (a little like a caretaker gets sometimes) and he's blown it. I could get the team positioned higher in the league, simply by not playing Thomas and Carranza
  22. Raj + stansp + Dr Singh.....it looks like this thread has 'fallen' ! Jokes @StanSP !! 😂
  23. Nonsense mate. Not a shred of race hate in me.
