3 games in, 1 point, overall assessment …

Agree. Thought we were front foot and pressing high. We started well. It's a myth that Skipp, winks, Wilf means defense. It means solidity. That's different -
Leicester 1 - 2 Villa POST MATCH
Paninistickers replied to SecretPro's topic in Leicester City Forum
Lots of positives from yesterday. The players aren't overawed by their opponents. Villa knew they were in a game and we were no mugs. Cooper I guess is trying to make us a tough nut to crack I'm ok with the set up. Winks and Skipp anchoring us into the game. Wilf leading the press. Ayew being an absolute pain in the arse to play against. But, ffs, PLAY STEPHY. It's so bleeding obvious. Personally, I'd play him instead of Vards (my thread earlier bizarrely deleted for suggesting Vards has had his day) -
It's over. He shouldn't be playing. It's unfair to expect him to do that role needed up top. HIs contribution - beyond talisman - is close to zero.
-
That's really upsetting news. Poor Sol and his family. I hope he and his family know how warmly he was considered here.
-
Vards should never ever be starting at this level. Same as Ayew. Vesty and Faes last week at Fulham looked fine, settled but the weaker link was Faes. So he drops Vesty. Mavididi - no words. Ricky, maybe not starting xi I kinda get but even so, to be ostracised is criminal. Ward a pulled muscle away form.okaying in the PL. This is grotesque.

Ok,.just for you again, let's admit we don't know how he'll react. It's STILL a mid table championship team, which was the whole fcking point of the post. Anymore fiddling you wanna do while Rome burns?
-
Ok dude, just for you, let's pretend that Ayew will be up for it. Still just about a mid table team
-
Unlike the club itself, fans often have one eye on the future. Hopefully we have a basis of at least a mid table championship squad in the very realistic event of us going down. Stolarcyk. Nelson, Braybrook, Cannon with a year's development under their belts. McAteer. Skipp and Winks and Wilf and Vesty all locked in for experience. Pity Alves didn't get so e time away. Obviously the absolute dead weight wages of BdcR and Ayew (who totally won't be arsed for the championship grind) and Ward and Soumare and Thomas.
-
Yeah, but he won't play our best players.. And worse still, he's actually insistent on playing some of the worst. Not just our worst, like Luke Thomas or Bdcr. Not even the worst in the PL,.like Soumare. But amongst the worst in the world. Ward.

Concerns about the direction of the club
Paninistickers replied to Lambert09's topic in Leicester City Forum
The scale and speed of our strategic collapse had been breathtaking. There is no way on earth Glover, Rudkin and Cooper are on the same page. Zero plan. Young. Old. Potential. Zero potential. First teamers. Reserves. Any one will do. Millions on people looking in their mid forties. Mote.millions on those looking in their mid teens. Positions we don't need signed. Positions we do need neglected. I'm enjoying it tbh. A.club that won't sell tickets to fans without a full CRB check and detailed colonoscopy. A club that hires buses for Thai Tik Tokers. A club that's only kit design brief to Adidas is 'need gold'. It's fun to watch. -
Tbf so would I
-
Cooper thinks Ward is better than Iversen. Just drink that in.
-
Vardy ain't the main anyways. Starting Vards is suicide. He cannot do the miles and lead the press needed. Daka was ahead of Vards in Cooper's plans.
-
As many posters have pointed out, we needed, in priority, 1. A KDH replacement. Which we should've identified way back in January and worked in a deal in principle in the next 6 months. 2. A bog standard all-rounder striker, replacing Kels and better than Cannon and (2024 series) Vards and Daka. 3. 2 or 3 young players - like the morrocon lad or Brighton lad - that we identified for random positions and like the look of. As you say, an absolute shambles

I'm with you. In the 80s there really wasnt anyone or anywhere to turn to for help. Teachers and Parents would often use phrases like 'dont tell tales' or 'it'll go away' or 'dont be so ridiculous' ...that was about it. Maybe I'm lucky, but my two have had a far happier, far more balanced, far less stressful childhood than mine (and most others from our era) which - I my case - was essentially a mix of total boredom and (largely and fortunately successfully) avoiding the bullies...(but the stress of constantly avoiding being the object of bullying was exhausting)
