Yeah. At a quick think the options are to clear off to say, rural Sweden/Norway who seem to have a relaxed attitude to crime and might be more tolerant for reintegration into society. Or, spend a year at home in your flat learning Spanish and clear off to remote Paraguay and live a simple farm life and hope nobody gives a shit. Once upon a time, didn't desperate men run off to the french foreign legion...join up,. no questions.asked? No easy options to reinvent yourself with that level of fame.

The case aside, I think the concept of being ruined is quite a fascinating thought to recover or rehabilitate from (for me at least,. probs not quite as fascinating for Huw Edwards and Gary glitter) Like we all play the game of 'what would you do if you won the lottery? - buy a place in the sun etc etc' ....but this being the opposite; how does someone react to complete and total reputational ruin?

You'll live.

Very very rarely for a first offence. More or less everyone gets a free hit / benefit of doubt up to a certain level of crime. I don't think his profile or mental health issues helped here. Suspended sentence was more or less nailed on, unless he'd have made some kinda extraordinarily defiant pro paedo statement in his mitigation

Yeah, apparently a dwelling had to be designed for 60 years, so upgraded homes to meet building regs are designed for that. Which is more than enough for the purpose I have in mind. Just can't escape that thought that they should be cheaper. If the prices, as outlined above, are more or less that of brick built, what's the point? My gut feel is they are overpriced and prices will come down if they become more used, more accepted and suppliers compete. Same as swimming pools. Cost a fortune. It's a fcking concrete hole with mosaic finish. But as only rich people buy them, prices are tailored accordingly

He was never going down, first offence and the fact the distributor of the pics (a more serious offence and had previous) only got a.suspended Tbh, I do think that it's also fair to factor in the man is ruined. Totally ruined. That's no defence of him,.but it is probably fair to consider when sentencing.

Do we hang on more than any other team, like ever? We've done it even since the Martin O'Neil days. Countless managers and players and game evolution, we seem to perennially lob on the ol' third centre back and surrender midfield. Even in the FA Cup final..and it NEVER works. Like EVER. Even in the Cup final it didn't. Edit; Even in the championship last season after comfortable outplaying the oppo for 80 mins, we'd end up hanging on. There was a surreal amount of late goals last season for a team at the top

It was a horrendous decision. I don't buy any PL conspiracy though. More an overzealous VAR official trying to be a cleverclogs and showing he can think outside the obvious. Who was it btw? Someone inexperienced and trying to show off? As Strider says, see out that dodgy 3/4 mins after a goal and we get all three points in all probability. Crowd turns, players start to get frustrated. It's not our day mindset creeps in. Our confidence grows.

Clever the ol interweb,.intit?

Thanks. Having done some reading over the weekend, the costs look inflated. My own feeling being is that they are aimed at, and bought by, those who are a bit wealthier (in the private market anyway) and a premium price is attached to them because of that.

Design for Life - manic street Preachers. I detest it. And think they are garbage full stop. Weird band, weird pompous overblown musical style. Welsh Meatloaf. Another vote for the dirge that is sweet Caroline. Off on a tandem, who can name or hum a Foo fighters song? I can't.

Not much in it. I think they have a bit more quality. And a decent manager. But the table rarely finishes exactly in terms of quality. I don't think we are wildly different (a tad worse maybe) to Brentford, Fulham, Wolves, Palace, Everton .... Ipswich will.fight hard but we gotta expect to finish above them and saints to have any chance to stay up. Then just hope one of the list above hits freefall/ self destruct like we did two years ago.

Anyone in the construction, architecture, or I guess the planning game got a view on modular homes? I've an older house. Means a long garden. I've toyed with the idea of having a trench for services put in and a kinda neat, trendy modular mini bungalow at the back to rent out. Financially viable? Or just a fanciful idea? Are planners reasonable with these things? Are these things really used or is at all theoretical right now?

'clown' 'legs gone' 'i'll drive home to forest myself' 'couldn't trap cement' blah blah

I like the way he sets up. I like his midfield. But his personnel selections I find extremely troubling. BdcR over.mavididi Ward over Iversen Soumare over.McAteer Coady over Vesty You could.maybe argue the merit of JJ v Ricky, but the list above isn't even close. In each case the excluded player is clearly, categorically and unarguably better than Cooper's preferences

Worth the wait? Do you feel it might be the end of civilisation?

Thanks. Good to know to avoid him if I'm ever up before the beak

Absolutely this. Jordan Ayew (who's done well) is a finisher, not a starter. Come on, niggle, hold the ball up, win free kicks, waste time. Dark arts man. Defending ain't all about having defenders on the pitch -
Big big fan of JJ but he looks just about our weakest link ATM. He's more of a physical presence than Ricardo and is quicker. But not convinced. And I say that as someone who rates him.

He was excellent. Looks to the manor born. I didn't trust the signing. It looked unnecessary and superfluous. But fair play to Glover. Sometimes you buy that coat you don't need in a sale coz it's a damn good coat

Some very promising stuff today. Let's try to be honest. Okoli and Skipp and Wilf were outstanding We were aggressive all over the pitch. We looked handy on the break. We look like a normal PL team. No better than Palace, no worse. -

Southampton on for zero. -
The subs were woeful. No other way to paint it. Which is a shame as the performance was largely good and we were robbed by a curious offside decision. Ayew imo is made for those tight hanging on games. He should COME ON at 75 mins, not be brought off exhausted. The ol' throw another centre back on is Sunday league tactics. And if you are gonna do that, do it with Vesty FFS. Who's cool at, doesn't give at, is 6ft 5 and can put his foot on the ball. The right subs for today were Ricky to support in the right and get Ayew off, Hamza straight midfield swap for wilfs if needed Fayawu for Vards (push Stephy up top) and if Stephy was knackered, 'll get crucified for suggesting this, the bonehead Soumare on at 85 mins so we had some strength and long legs to run around up top and unable to do any self inflicted damage there

I've said this time and again, but the disrespect towards Wilf from this Board is insane. Few will admit it, but it's largely to do with his gait. As he isn't built like messi or Maradona, and is all arms and legs, ergo he must be useless. There are times of clumsiness, of course. He's not a natural 20 or 8 by any stretch. Clumsiness that's exaggerated by his 'look'. But the lack of understanding and respect of Wilf's game, his fitness and his football intelligence is, to me, astounding.
