Deserves to have played more this year and I think it would have benefitted both him and Vards. Vards has started every PL game this year and you can tell, he’s nowhere near up to it. Should have rotated more like Enzo did last year. only the champ but when Patson had a run of 9 starts last year he scored 7 and assisted 3. Vardy completed 1 pass in 60 mins at Everton, 6 touches, 0 duels won. Daka in 80 mins yday - 19 passes (2 key), 41 touches, 6 duels won. At the moment, Daka offers more in general play and should be given a couple of starts, just to see how he gets on. I think we look better with him in the team. Vards’ minutes need to be handled better by RVN. Don’t care who you are - 1 goal in 8 starts deserves dropping!

Love the fire from Okoli. We need that!

We just lost 4-0 to Everton and now we’re signing someone who scored a brace in a game against Everton this season - I don’t see why people are so upset ?? *checks notes*

I agree, but that conversation has to happen in a different setting surely? Take him aside during/after training, not lay into him in front of the whole squad immediately after a loss that he’s not even been a part of? -

This is pretty damning for Van Nistelrooy. Smacks of a man in completely disarray when you start to have a go at players that aren’t even playing… Doesn’t know who to blame, so just goes after random players, and picks a reason out of thin air. Yeesh. -

No identity, defensively shambolic. Less goals scored, more goals conceded than under Cooper. 7 losses in a row, 2 goals scored in that time. Ridiculous substitutions. Get him gone, bring in Dyche (I know, how we’ve fallen), and try at least to be solid. We’re not that far off points wise, there’s still time but they need to pull the plug on this disastrous experiment. -

The only negativity about Mahrez’s arrival was about his genuinely dreadful haircut -
And look how it turned out for them. the grass is always greener and hindsight is a beautiful thing, if Cooper had put on more attacking players yesterday and Palace had equalised everybody would be complaining that he didn’t try and shut up shop.
-
I think people are underestimating Palace, they were one of the best teams at the back end of last season and didn’t have a lot of their usual XI for pre-season/start of the season. I think they will come back firing after the international break. Bournemouth too is a tricky game. The 11th-15th section of the Prem has dramatically got better over the last year or so, realistically we need to focus on beating the 4/5 others at the very bottom and then trying to pick up some shock results elsewhere. that being said, we need minimum 4 points here. Not having a win after 7 games would be incredible demoralising for everyone.
-
You’d sack Cooper if he won 3 and drew 4 out of the next 7 games?
-
On loan would be fine.
-
To be fair to Sergeant, he was a 21 year old, first season in English football, in a god awful team when he last played in the prem. 16 goals in 26 games, a goal every 116 minutes last year, is a pretty decent return in any league. A Norwich mate of mine thinks he’s going to explode this year. he’s clearly not going to be the next big thing but we’re scraping the barrel now. Think people still think we’ve got the pull of 5 years ago, sadly not the case.

SILENCE THE HATERS. THE MESSIAH IS HERE. WE’RE WINNING THE LEAGUE -

I don’t buy the ‘replacement for Vardy’ talk. He could just play LW until Vardy went off and then switch to striker if that was the case. Cooper doesn’t trust him defensively, BDR does the defensive work, simple as that. Not saying it’s right but that’s the way it is at the moment. wouldn't be surprised to see Ayew start on the left vs Villa.

Let’s back him. He’s in the door, he’s a Leicester player. Not his fault £8mil is obscene. Will be a good asset to the squad. -
Good player but if we’ve used a significant portion of our budget on an area that doesn’t need an immediate fix then what are we doing? LB, CAM, ST all areas that need sorting and if we now don’t have the budget to do so then it’s incredibly frustrating. Time will tell but £20m is a lot
-
Can’t wait for the doubters to be proved wrong. If he signs he’ll quickly become a favourite. One of those rare players that can make something happen single-handedly. I’m all for passion, and ego. Most players have it trained out of them.
-
-
Yeah, you don’t need to do that for u21s
-
Key word here is “register” though. is it registering loans? Or is it registering those loaned players in the squad? u21 players don’t have to be “registered” in the squad, so if it’s the latter, technically Buonanotte wouldn’t be “registered” as a player, because he’s under 21. Have seen conflicting reports all over the place. Honestly i don’t think we’ll know for sure until it either happens or doesn’t. I’ve now also typed “register” out so many times it doesn’t look like a word anymore
-
We should have been all over this
-
What’s the point in flying Buonanotte over if he’s not even in the squad?
-
the lad needs to play some professional football, if that’s at Championship level then that’s okay by me. People are righty excited by Alves but he’s a prospect, he’s not even made his league debut yet - it’s very very rare that players can seamlessly make the step up immediately. would love to see him given a chance but at the end of the day Cooper and the staff see him day in day out, if they feel a loan is best at this time it’s hard to argue against that.
