  1. It’s been marvellous, the place was so flat prior to the season starting. And here we are sat top with a near perfect start. We’ve nothing to complain about so far.
  2. We need more from the two in the high 8 positions. KDH isn’t doing enough, but is that because he needs a more progressive partner? I’d like to see Yunus given a go from the start again.
  3. Can you hack their computers and spy on the their training sessions?
  4. If it stays like this, this weekend has been far worse for Ipswich than it has us!
  5. I wouldn’t consider them as much of a challenge, with the greatest respect. All huffed and puffed but didn’t really trouble us all that much. Leeds are now being talked up by the media outlets, and their own fan base were adamant they would win, and the game pretty much played out that way. Come the business end of the season they will be our direct rivals. Both of us will go up automatically.
  6. The reason I’m so disappointed is because it’s the first proper challenge, and we slipped up. That’s the majorly disappointing thing. Not even having a shot on target until the last ten minutes? But, there are still imbalances in the team, and it would be Leeds over anyone….. it’s just annoying. Slightly concerning, but we’ve got the perfect opportunity to bounce back…
  7. I still think he should be playing in that inverted full back role. He’s looked great whenever he’s been there. I’d be tempted to try him there. In terms of Ricardo it’s a bit of conundrum. Because he’s absolutely quality, but I think he’s wasted in that role. And then, again. Where does he play? Because we don’t play with full backs? We need to start playing players than maximise the system, rather than for their individual ability. Hamza is good in that role, his traits complement the style, whereas I feel Ricardo is a bit of a luxurious passenger, and that no fault of his own, it’s purely the system he’s playing in.
  8. They have, but the 8’s are supposed to be the runners and creators to enable the strikers to only drop in to create a passing angle. At times we’ve had Vardy and Kelch drop as far as the half way line. That position isn’t functioning and which is going to have an impact on the strikers. A bit more productivity in this area would help them no end.
  9. I think this is correct, especially your last point. Enzo tends to learn from these loses. Like you say you learn a lot more from loses than wins. Constant wins just paper over the cracks, defeats expose them. Big game next week, so a chance to put it right.
  10. My opinion is, it’s not the strikers that are the issue, it’s the two high 8’s that are the problem. KDH, Casadei, Wilf and co just aren’t having enough of an impact. This is where we’re being let down. KDH has been gash, he would be much better playing a deeper role, but that role is Winks’ so where does he play? We miss a creative player in that role, it might improve with Praet or Akgun in there. I like Akgun in that position, but it’s all about if they can stay fit. If we sort that area of the pitch out we will be a proper force. I think that’s what’s letting us down at the moment.
  11. He wasn’t poor, neither was Faes. The defence wasn’t the reason we lost, the not having a shot on target until the last ten minutes is the reason we lost, and being generally flaccid.
  12. I’m not going to jump also Enzo. He has his methods and that’s that. It’s some of the players I’m not having. It’s quite remarkable we’ve had such a good start, because I think Leeds are a better team than us, yet they’ve been largely inconsistent. I think, to be honest this league is so poor that there’s three teams that realistically will challenge for promotion. Us, Leeds and it’s looking like Ipswich too. We’ve had an impeccable start, but some of our rivals will surely start to pick up form. Going forward I can’t see Leeds dropping many points. Ipswich will be interesting once they start to get injuries and hit a dodgy patch. But, I’m intrigued to see what happens next with us, because Boro away could well be a horrible game to have just after this. Losing two in a row could have major psychological implementations on the team. Theres a few things that aren’t working; Defensively we’re actually good, but we can still concede poor goals, and I think it comes to a lack of leadership, however, I wouldn’t put Coady anywhere near that team, what I’ve seen of him so far I’ve been far from impressed. Ricardo individually looks a class above, obviously, but he’s wasted in CM. This league wouldn’t be able to cope with his marauding runs ups and down the flanks. We’ve got both him and Justin who are probably the best full backs in the league, and neither are being used this way. The wingers are alright, both can produce the sublime to the ridiculous, but you get effort even if there on occasion is a lack of finesse. KDH has been dreadful, sorry but he has, he can’t play a hight 8, he’s too clumsy and careless in possession, and his passing is all over the place. N’didi has been playing well but again he isn’t a high 8, he lacks the creativity needed to play that role. This tactic is amazing if you have the personnel to carry it out. Had we had a more back to basics approach to the game we might have shithoused a win, however, against this league less shit teams we won’t be able to do that, especially now they’re getting into a rhythm. The next game is critical, we lose and it could start a bit of a slide in form. If not, and we win, which we should, then I think it will end up being us and Leeds who will eventually run away with it. I expect Ipswich to drop off as they don’t have the depth to maintain this form. I just hope we can gather enough points to keep Leeds at arms length, because they are probably the best team in the league on paper, and once they get going will take some stopping. Im really angry we lost that game, out of all the games I wanted to win that one, it casts a bit of doubt now….. all about how we react now. It’s okay beating the leagues crap, but when you’re coming up against one of the better teams and can’t even register a shot on goal until the final ten minutes, it’s worrying….. there’s still question marks over a potential fragile mentality, and that surfaced a little yesterday. Bit of a back to basics needed this week, in training.
  13. Given a run I think Praet would be good in that 8 position.
  14. He’s shit.
  15. All those shots on target prove it!
  16. I do agree with you, I think man for man on paper Leeds are better than us. We will ultimately find out, this one will kick the lads more than Hull, because Leeds are a direct rival, and we’re supposed to be streets ahead of them, and tonight proved that it wasn’t. Next game is massive, sounds stupid, but it could define the season, two loses in a row and a few beads of sweat may start to form. Nor a good night for us at all tonight.
  17. ****ing rubbish. And I did expect it. Leeds looked better tonight, quicker, stronger, more aggressive and cuter tactics. To be fair it’s better than I thought, I thought that we would get a bit of a pasting largely due to their pace. Tonight sucked bollocks, they’re a team that we just won’t beat in this current set up. The start of the season has been bizarre, have we largely been lucky? Or is it that we’re just able to beat worse sides? I don’t know but there’s still definitely about us that’s off, there’s still a weakness and tonight Leeds succeeded where Sunderland failed. My only hope is that we don’t let this impact us, and we get over it quickly. ****ing pissed off though…. Especially when I’ve had Leeds fans telling me all week this would happen. Thank **** we’re so far ahead.
  18. Been very comfortable for Leeds. Poor show from us tonight.
  19. We’ve been shite for most of the game, what is going to change in the last half an hour 😂 it’s unfortunately a write off. We don’t look like we know how to get back into the game.
  20. Just need to get off the pitch, forget about this and regroup. We can’t let this derail us.
  21. They’ve looked better tonight. We’ve looked largely clueless and fairly easy to play against. I’d be stunned if we managed to get anything from this. Exactly what I expected from Leeds.
  22. Been the better side. We’ve looked crap in all honesty,
  23. then don’t bring him on, that would be irresponsible..
  24. Yunus and Kacey on please.
