  1. I have just re-read the Chairman’s message from the Sheffield Wednesday programme and aside from trying to decipher Anthony Herlihy’s poorly drafted word salad, if you read between the lines, I think we are going to see little to no signings, perhaps loans at best. Here’s the relevant paragraph: Despite the challenges of recent seasons, our ambitions as a Club remain and we are capable of achieving. Right now, we appreciate that to be realistic about our immediate position and that we need to rebuild a foundation that will lead to return to previous heights quickly, yet sustainably. Our squad is evolving and is building a new identity, with a strong connection from the Club’s Academy, and it’s important that fans know how important it is for you to feel represented by the players on the pitch and how important that connection will be in building the kind of home form that will lead us to future success. I read this as the club planning to ‘rebuild’ relying on Academy players.
  2. Sky News reporting deal with Palace worth up to £30m
  3. Came on thinking there was an update on Wanks to find the Toxic Toad is still here. Seriously, don’t you think other interested clubs would see the noise and behaviour from him. Perhaps that’s not important but if I was him I’d keep my head down and fingers crossed that another club is stupid to ignore the total lack of courtesy and professionalism and just take him off our hands.
  4. It's a frightening thought, but is it completely beyond the realms of possibility that we get to the end of this transfer window and all we've done is sell Fatawu, BEK, and Monga (to Real or Barca), get stuck with Winks#, Soumare, Faes, Vestergaard, Thomas, Choudhury, BDCR, Daka, and JJ? The absolute worst part of this is we might not sign or loan a single player to replace them. I hope this isn't a realistic scenario, but given the shambolic state of affairs, I genuinely don’t believe we’ve hit rock bottom yet. #As for Winks, he's a quality player at this level, but his blatant public displays of petulance make him a really disruptive and toxic influence on the rest of squad.
  5. Our club is radioactive .
  6. Those thinking the club won’t sell for less than £30m might be in for a shock. We’re in fire sale territory. The clubs in freefall.
  7. There’s more reaction in this interview than we saw on the pitch tbf.
  8. It’s weird that isn’t it? I noticed the same and thought it was a phishtake. Very odd.
  9. Thank you for the comms analysis. My personal view is Abdul’s post about fans leaving early is ill-conceived, especially after a match where one could argue the players failed to turn up! As you have commented RYM, contrast that with Marti’s humble acknowledgement that fans have the right to be disappointed at the result and performance. The club is so dysfunctional on so many levels now.
  10. I accept my comments were somewhat poorly presented. They weren’t meant to come across as contradictory. I was trying to convey his preferred system doesn’t appear to be working with the players at his disposal and while perhaps he should try alternatives I don’t think he will.
  11. Hats off to Stuart the caller, bravo 👏
  12. Sorry missed that, where can I find it (what page?). Does it cover your point about captain’s because aside from the club Captain, Ricardo I would find it hard to pick a leader in this team. I completely agree on Hamza. Cifuentes says he has read about our history, if this was the case how could he possibly believe he’s captain material.
  13. Name them (the bad calls) and what you’d have done differently. Not being antagonistic, I’d like to hear the alternative because I don’t see any with the players at his disposal. My worry is he is persisting with a system the players at his disposal are incapable of playing that leaves the team exposed so starkly on the flanks.
  14. Cifuentes might be the or a problem but Jesus Christ look what he has to work with.
  15. Monga’s look of disgust at Kasey not getting in the end of his sumptuous cross.
  16. Nothing less than we deserve.
  17. Generational talent.
  18. It’s funny we’re surprised by what we’re witnessing. Follow the logic, we’ve got half a team of players who don’t want to be here, some of them who are mocking and disrespecting a fanbase whose feelings are mutual towards said players. We’re a fully fledged dysfunctional club now.
  19. This is a tragic comedy right?
  20. Cifuentes’ excuse is he hasn’t been here very long and hasn’t got a clue what his squad will look like after 1st September. Difficult to judge if he has what it takes, but it doesn’t look promising. Today’s first half performance is the perfect metaphor for a club in freefall. Utterly depressing stuff.
  21. Honestly I could cry real tears at how bad this is. It is impossible to describe how far we’ve fallen. Desperate stuff.
  22. Captain Justin… great 🤦🏻‍♂️
  23. We’re saving you from an afternoon of heartache and pain.
  24. How bad is this?
  25. Getting murdered down the flanks.
