This is a great point. With the plethora of talent on the wings when form dips or players are out with injuries we have very strong replacements.

You do get I was being ironic 😹 Can’t stand the tiny thinned skinned nepo baby. Every time I watch LCFC tv and they show the scenes of the players lifting the Championship trophy, I get triggered by his tiny little hands and face being in every shot.

Dumb and Dumber struck gold with Cifuentes. A manager with the playing credentials our ‘Dear Leader’ adores who seemingly pushed hard to join us. His ability to effect change will be more limited than Cooperman and RvN. He’s stuck with a bloated squad full of players (many that don’t want to be here) and worse some fomenting division and discord in the squad. I am optimistic we’ve got a tactically astute manager but he’ll also need Kofi Annan levels of peace making to keep this lot happy and motivated.

I pray the shoddy Board back Cifuentes like they did with Maresca. Our problem isn’t that we have a squad good enough to compete at the top end of the Championship. The problem is Cifuentes is going to have manage a lot of senior players who don’t want to be here and the atmosphere could be quite toxic and not only in the dressing room if some of these big time Charlies perform like they did last season.

The initial positivity of Cifuentes appointment has dwindled with the lack of any activity in moving players on. We need to strengthen in key areas upfront, centre mid and defence but our bigger problem is the toxic and stale atmosphere created by the players, whom we reference often, that want to leave but can’t because they’re not prepared to take pay cuts and other clubs don’t want them. Don't be fooled by the overtly positive LCFC social media posts atm. Cifuentes has very big job on his hands and his hands are tied. Good luck Marti, you’ll need it!
