  1. I really respect Steve Bruce for his comments in the post-match there.
  2. Similar vibe innit
  3. End the season now, come on lockdown two!
  4. Rodger’s out here playing 8D chess
  5. Season's over, here comes the downturn. Can't wait to see Choudhury filling in at centre-back. Hopefully Mendy continues improving. N'Didi played a massive role in the first two matches filling in, with big man Evans back here's hoping for the best over the next few weeks. Thank the lord for international fixtures
  6. Wonder what the repercussions will be for FIFA's Ultimate Team, does that classify as a loot box? It will be a good chunk of taxable revenue gone, and given the present state of things the government will want to keep hold of monies where they can.
  7. The numbers being touted are ridiculous for a player who is yet to play a full season. Paying double young Jacob Maguire's fee is a travesty for an unproven French youngster.
  8. I know Amartey hasn’t had the best time at Leicester. But our club does seem to treat players incredibly well, and much beyond using them as assets or bargaining chips. I hope if Vichai’s legacy at the club amount to anything (beyond the obvious), it is taking care of those at the club. Best of luck to Amartey.
  9. Looking forward to seeing the lad get his Leicester career ünderway
  10. Welp, let’s see Tarkowski keep a clean sheet and McNeil bag a stunner
  11. Phwoar can’t wait to see the Turkish Izzet bless our fine English grounds. A left footer too, by Jove.
  12. The cockney mafia Izzet, purveyor of fine kebab.
  13. So is it all but official? Heard this man could be like the Turkish Izzet.
  14. Obviously happy with the win, but I think those penalties covered up a lack of attacking threat from the likes of Perez and Barnes. But on the whole, a good show. N'Didi filled in well, and that was the most confident 90 minutes we have seen from Justin.
  15. Haha was having a little poke mate - amazed it got a response so quickly!
  16. He didn’t play for 2 minutes in a World Cup winning squad, ergo he’s shite.
  17. Look, at the end day, the big thing to sort is a goalkeeper that can improve in the future. Schmeichel‘s distribution has caught us off one too many times in the last 12 months. Anyone saying we need a centre back needs to remember we have Benkovic. We expected nothing of Soyuncu last season, and look at him now.
  18. God forbid players are responsible for playing shite
  19. If you show up to work and decide to half-arse it for a few weeks would your line manager be the one getting the sack?
  20. Good shout old boy. Seems to be that LC is signing players via committee. I don't think it's a entirely bad thing, as it will hopefully prevent football's endless cycle of managers bringing "their own lads" in. Potentially it also implies that there's a larger project at work behind the scenes. But we are bloody lethargic when it comes to signing players!
  21. Vardy's touch map (steady now) from the 6 matches prior to the Villa game pre-lockdown indicate to me that he wasn't entirely willing himself to see the ball. I don't recall Maddison being played out of position, wasn't he mainly play on his favoured left-side of midfield? An element of Maddison's drop in form is down to N'didi's injury surely? Management-wise, he got a few of our young lads playing and has moved the team on from Puel-ball. We finished 4 places higher than 18/19 too. I'm not sure what he's doing wrong philosophically, but I feel like that is a bit of a footballing criticism buzzword. The philosophy seems to be to try and win games, and I don't recall a game last season where the team was hiding. However, I do think the 20/21 season could be something of a reckoning for Rodgers. He's hopefully more aware of the strengths and limitations of the squad, and the onus is on him to get early form out the squad. I know I'm backing Rodgers at the moment, but you could be right on with this. Again, hopefully he's aware of the squad's strengths and limitations with regards to training workload.
  22. James McClean?
  23. Vardy, Maddison and Chilwell were nowhere near consistent enough from December onwards. N'Didi and Ricky P were both very unfortunate with injuries in 2020 as well. Given that post-December we barely played with our best XI, it's no wonder things started going south. It completely exposed the lack of depth in the squad. I don't think the team's form is symptomatic of Rodgers', it's more an inditement on just how thin the squad became once key names were either injured or playing shite.
  24. Nice to see footballer writers are using manatees to write their headlines / tweets. "'Gabriel Barbosa - Leicester City', a perfect football tweet, I can see it now!"
  25. Thauvin's contribution to France winning the World Cup is about the same as my contribution to my pension pot, except I have almost hit double figures. Fair play to the lad on his league stats, but I maintain that he's a good player in a poor league. McNeil is younger, and will likely improve and has authentic league experience. In all likelihood, he also has more professional years ahead of him. Not sure on Burnley being fashionable, the last I checked soul patches and casual racism are fairly dated. Having said all this, would happily take any of the three at present!
