I hope we have played real hardball on cost (contract) and max 2 years & this guy is PL squad player NOT starter. Much as he totally turned my view around this season, where he has been very very good repeatedly. VERY good against Bournemouth. Ripped a new one for the 1st Chelsea goal FA Cup -

Allied to which the single seat match ticket is high in comparison to the cost of a match as one of the 19 or 23, not sure after how many games its better to have a season ticket but is it 2/3's?? That's why I got one. My lad was 12 when he became a STH, he's 20 now and works & lives in London and bleeds Leicester BUT he couldn't justify a 200 mile return for midweek home championship games BUT came to everything else. Last season he went to Huddersfield, Southampton on a Friday night, Norwich on a Wednesday and drove back to London @ midnight for 2am!! QPR, West Brom (in the home end), Birmingham, Ipswich, Stroke, Watford, Leeds, Bristol C, Millwall. If they're wedging out the £300 plus they should have some choice. The club are trying to stop this because demand is greater than supply.

Hmmm Hendo = 81 England Caps, WC Semi final & Euro final Club World Cup, UEFA Super Cup & Champions League, FA Cup winner & RU, League Cup x 2, Europa League Runner Up, FWA Player of the Year KDH = Championship medal winner & Community Shield (Hendo has won that too) Maybe he would????

Booked 2 weeks in Japan in September any intel/advice really greatly appreciated, kids have just gone, so its time to have fun. Places to visit likely a few hours to Tokyo and perhaps how long you should stay there. Went to South Africa for the same last Nov & it was brilliant. Haven't got a car, don't really want to fly internally, so train etc. best mode of transport, but open to suggestions, got to try and get a plan together and book everything up ideally by end of June or most of it. International window of course, so we miss less footy!!!

Favourite moments of the season
The boy Linacre replied to rugbyblue's topic in Leicester City Forum
Know its not a League game but Fatawu's goal at Bournemouth & the performance by a B team there, his goal as same as Vardy's against Liverpool in the title winning season, I was behind it and it was in from the moment he hit it. Winks at QPR BIrmingham A Sitting in the home end at WBA away Monday obviously Stoke A, and Justin's cross for Vardy's goal, pinged in, brilliant -
Might be too good for Cov BUT he isn't good enough for where we play in August onwards AND if we set the bar that low we'll struggle. Lacks a yard of gas too, offer him £20/25k at best and offer him some bonus IF we stay up and and increase to £35k or something season 2.

Think this is it in a nutshell. It is ONLY about finishing 17th or higher, 8-9 wins & the same number of draws keeps you up. This is the team OFF the pitch's biggest close season for 10 years, they have to outperform. Understand the financial picture asap (should be working 24hr days NOW), identify who is going and what they want EVERYONE must be an upgrade or squad player if not. And get it down quickly like the Maddison close season, NOT Adrien Silva & Sensi!!! Down to you Rudkin & your team!!!!

I think we should put whatever pressure on the club we can over the next month, just for clarity 5th June is the last date you can choose one way or the other? Probably go card, BUT V Unhappy with the £25. The fans give A LOT to the club in so many ways, THE owners & club management are TEMPORARY CUSTODIANS, give something back to fans (like choice where possible) as well as their great generosity to the local community. It won't hurt and OBVIOUSLY it looks, based on the feedback, like it would generate MASSIVE goodwill & support.

The "do they mean us?" thread pt 4
The boy Linacre replied to davieG's topic in Leicester City Forum
You have to say this has all got blown up out of proportion and most importantly as a club and players we should focus on what we have done, not what they haven't YET. I will add one thing, based on Rutter's comments in that interview, if the lino and ref had any level of competency in the away, we would have counted Daka's ONSIDE goal (the one where he received the ball from THEIR defender) and we would have won that game AT LEAST 2-0, all arguments done. -

Sadly we know that's not what the stats say, this is going to sound harsh but Leeds bottled loads then as well (though setting a VERY high standard AND Man City have won more 1965 - 2nd in the League on goal difference, FA Cup finalists 1966 - 2nd in the League, Semi's Fairs Cup 1967 - 4th in the league, FA Cup semi's, Fairs Cup final 1968 - League Cup & Fairs Cup WON, close shaves again in the League & Cup 1969 - Over the Hump, League Champions, 1970 - 2nd in the League, European Cup Semi, FA Cup final 1971 - Fairs Cup won 1972 - FA Cup won 1973 - 3rd in the League, FA Cup losers to 2nd Div Sunderland, ECWC Finalists 1974 - League title So 6 trophies, 2 Leagues, 1 FA Cup, 1 League Cup, 2 Fairs Cup BUT 10 near misses Losing 2 FA CUP finals, 1 Fairs Cup Final, 1 ECWC Final, League 2nd, 2nd, 4th, 2nd, 2nd, 3rd Under Mancini Man City won 1 League & FA Cup, Under Pelegrini a League & 2 League Cups - 6 years 5 trophies Under Pep for 9 years - 13 trophies, 1 World & European Cup, 5 Leagues, 2 FA Cups, 4 League Cups + this season -
bit like a lot of the crowd that day then!!! Plenty on the pitch, none touched the ball.

Absolutely are questions about him & at EFL (Plymouth goal!! & FPL level), stay on your feet son & stop being a show pony & a finger pointer AFTER the event BUT you're absolutely right he deserves his chance. He needs to realise he isn't as good as he thinks he is, though generally very good on the ball.

What Have You Enjoyed Most About This Season?
The boy Linacre replied to StanSP's topic in Leicester City Forum
Leaving the Div NOW!!! the others falling apart at the end more than us. The West Country aways!!! Stoke we were stunning AND we did win on a WET Saturday there, stunning attacking at Birmingham A. I know everybody is saying NO VAR BUT the refs could be as shite as they wanted to be with no comeback, and they were, this Div is FULL of lazy refs, who know there'll be no pushback. Daka's goal at Leeds in point, we'd have won with VAR. Job done -
Can I say I really really don't care anymore and can we close this thread as soon as...... We are back where we belong PREMIER LEAGUE!!!! Oh aside from hoping Cov finish as low as possible AND Leeds DON'T go up, ideally West Brom, Hull or Norwich as then they'll be 2 teams worse than us next season at least

Surely scarves out again?? Its won us 3 home games!!! -
Well Rudders has always failed miserably before repeatedly hence the numbers for Daka, Vestergaard, Soumare, Bertrand etc. so good luck with that

Further to that point above, I am actually going this year to the Crucible. Anybody suggest best place to park, was looking at Ponds Forge Sports centre & walking, just over half a mile I think? Anybody been recently?

Generally I am a traditionalist BUT the Ally Pally shows what moving to a bigger venue can give an event, the atmosphere sounds great especially the semi finals & finals weekend. That looks to have been a real move on from the second Wembley venue which I believe wasn't particularly popular. Loved by all by sounds of it. Post 50 years would be the time to move but as everybody said, in the UK NOT Globally. Even I think its time to move on. I went half a dozen years in the 90's including the 98 final Higgins vs Doherty, haven't been since. What I now know is they are trying to squeeze out what turnover they can with the Century Club & VIP & Premium tickets etc for the front half of the venue, so you are now sitting further back unless you want to pay big wedge. But its hard for them and as Hearn said on the Beeb yesterday its about money & profit, not what people want to hear BUT if they aren't going to or watching Snooker they will be doing the same for another sport. When Football was in the doldrums in the mid 80's Snooker was in the papers (thanks Tony Knowles), Footy's back being the big dog, Snooker is very hard to find in the written press. Got to get the venue right (not London) but 2-3k with the banking & the round right could be a winner, what about the KP isn't the plan to build a 6k venue, that might be in 3 years? Love the champs every year though, pure theatre
