  1. If Fatawu doesnt start in that right hand role that Mcateer was playing in yesterday then everyone involved in planning and building the squad needs sacking. We finally have a good right winger after years of looking to replace Mahrez and he's the most exciting player for us going into next season, why on earth are we looking to not play him in the right winger role that he excelled in last season?
  2. Good loan deal for him to get consistent game time, the worry for us is that he might already be a better player than Okoli and we have spent £11mil to downgrade the squad. Hopefully Okoli is just adjusting to moving to a new team and will prove to be an important player next season.
  3. We had an offer for £4mil when we went down (allegedly), if that's the case then it's so silly not to let it happen.
  4. As long as he doesnt build his muscle past his current level he should be fine, he still looks fully mobile.
  5. He's too good to go out on loan, he has quality that we're going to need next season.
  6. To be fair Tella wasn't a regular starter for Leverkusen. The one player in the championship that i am shocked hasnt had any concrete links to a top flight club is Gabriel Sara, 13 goals 12 assists last season despite largely playing as Norwich's deepest midfielder and Norwich's manager being pretty crap. His ball striking ability is some of the best i've seen in recent years, not only in the championship but in top flight football. If he got a Gyokeres type move i could see a foreign club asking 70-80 mil for him within 6 months of him transferring. He's better than Maddison imo.
  7. Will C-alves looking good.
  8. Correct me if I'm wrong but the number of PL goals that arent on that compilation (36) is still more than any player we had in the PL era before him. The only player to reach 50 PL goals for us and he might do it 3 times over.
  9. He was pretty bad in 21/22 but his drop off was overshadowed by Ward being far worse.
  10. I cant believe we looked at Man United and Chelsea's transfer model and decided we should replicate it. When has overpaying for talent that's not 100% committed ever work out for anyone?
  11. Fossehub just quote articles where players have been linked to Leicester. They're not meant to be a reliable source but a single account where you can get all the LCFC related news.
  12. He's an academy player in the way that you wouldn't trust him with regular PL minutes, the same way that we wouldn't trust Choudhury as a regular starter. If we do have injuries to Winks and Ndidi then we are guaranteed to go down with Skipp as a starter same with Choudhury, Golding and Baybrooke. At least with the likes of Golding and Baybrooke they might develop into PL level players and wont cost £10m.
  13. What happens to Skipp if Baybrooke goes out and proves himself on loan? If Skipp doesnt cut it then what's stopping us from spending £10m on a new midfielder even if Baybrooke does well? Dewsbury Hall went through the whole loan process and it still took Soumare not being good enough for him to get a chance. If we're willing to spend £10m on a backup midfielder then that means that there are minutes to spare for our own academy players, why fork out £10m on the academy player of another team that doesn't cut the mustard at PL level anyway?
  14. I was more surprised by the way he made space for the shot than the shot itself. It looked like something Mavididi or Fatawu would do, not our holding midfielder.
  15. Time to take the money we offered for Soule and target a natural attacking midfielder rather than a player who is more comfortable on the wing. Soule going to Roma is a blessing in disguise even though he is clearly very talented. Gabriel Sara would be ideal but if we can find a cheaper unknown alternative similar to how we identified Mavididi and Fatawu then that would also work.
  16. Mavididi was £6.5mil, James Justin was £6mil, Winks was £7.5mil, Hermansen was £5mil. On the other hand Dennis Praet was £20mil, Ghezzal was £20mil, Danny Ward was £12mil. A properly scouted player bought for £5mil -£10 mil can be better than a £20mil player that was bough with very little thought behind it. In fact going for better value transfers almost always seems to bring in better players as it forces the recruitment process to be more diligent at identifying targets.
  17. He would be a good purchase at £5mil in my opinion, not £10mil. We need to be using our money more wisely than throwing £10mil at players who dont automatically improve our starting XI.
  18. Demarai Gray has better end product than Saelemaekers. Saelemaekers is the better player due to being more rounded but there's no denying that his end product is lacking.
  19. We were able to find players with workrate and goal threat in Mavididi and Fatawu though. It's fine to sign solid players like Cordova Reid on the cheap but for £10-12 mil you would hope our scouts would be able to find a more exciting player with some end product.
  20. didn't think he had that kind of goal in him. Looked like a winger there.
  21. Who's the goalscorer at 28 seconds?
  22. Yeah i guess it makes sense if they sell Ait Nouri. It's the sort of low value high potential signing we should be going for though.
  23. i would be surprised if Wolves went for him, they have Ait Nouri who is a very good left back.
  24. We have money but FFP works on a 3 year cycle so it doesnt factor in our profits from the 2010s.
  25. I dont think he's a hideous player. Similar to Albrighton he's good enough to play the role of a consistently decent performer in a good team. He's never going to be the standout player in a team though and we absolutely should not be paying £10m for him.
