Philogene for £21mil isnt a good signing. He hasnt looked ready for Premier league football this season and in my opinion was not as good as everyone said in the championship. He has talent though so may come good.

Surely a DM is a priority over RW at least when we have Buonanotte. I would argue having more bite in midfield is more important than CF as well.

I would say CM/DM would be up there as one of the priority positions. The Soumare - Winks midfield doesnt do enough to protect our already shakey defence. A new DM would go a long way towards fixing our issues, I would rather sign a good defensively robust midfielder if one was available than sign a new centre back that we're not sure about.

If Winks or Soumare get injured then we have to play Skipp or Choudhury.

So essentially "we were in league one once". Meanwhile actual historical third tier clubs in Bournemouth, Brighton and Brentford are consolidating themselves in the PL due to their excellent management off the pitch. Now we have to accept the fact that the ownership are spending massive amounts of transfer fees and wages on mediocre players, jeopardizing not just our position as a PL side but the financial future of the club. We need to get into our heads that at this rate of decline we wont even be a yo yo club in a few years time, especially with points deductions looming in the EFL next season.
