  1. He won’t leave without a replacement, but agree with those saying he’s not good enough. Might get decent money for him given his age and nationality, replacing with the previously linked William Carvalho might make sense?
  2. What happened to the talk that we had agreed to sign William Carvalho this summer? Would be pretty handy with Wilf out and if Hamza leaves

  4. Strong arsenal lineup, will do well to make it through tbh. A bit of luck probably needed and the second string lads putting in a real shift to try and earn some more minutes in the first team. Dont fancy our chances, but love it when we beat Arsenal, can’t stand them
  5. www.espn.co.uk/football/french-ligue-1/story/4077669/coronavirus-could-force-ligue-1-clubs-into-bankruptcy-saint-etienne-chief%3Fplatform=amp?espv=1 I’m still surprised a club like St Etienne can afford to turn down an offer like this, would be intriguing to know how much of the money is up front in the proposed offer. Given just six months ago the St Etienne board was warning that clubs like them face bankruptcy without government help.
  6. This.
  7. Lingard would be a very decent squad player IMO, great off the ball and extremely hard working, a lot of what he does is to help the team and create space for others - it often goes unnoticed, and has a poor rep because he can be a bit limited with the ball. He’s also had a pretty tough time in his personal life which seems to have impacted his game. Can play multiple positions. I guess the fee and wages will be silly though, if he were ~15m and on 70k or less it would be a no brainier IMO.
  8. Slight difference in reporting here from this bloke from Goal who seems to be a french football specialist.
  9. Their owner or manager (can’t remember which) was quoted weeks ago saying he couldn’t rule out him leaving in this window.
  10. Realistically we are probably a stepping stone for Fofana. Tah could feasibly spend the majority of his remaining career with us.
  11. Neymar has zero goals, zero assists and one red card this season
  12. Well spotted, they’ve clearly just updated an old article.
  13. https://www.footballinsider247.com/exclusive-leicester-city-deal-on-verge-of-collapse-as-rival-club-rage-at-tactics/ Football Insider claim the Fofana deal is dead edit: just saw post above, sorry

  16. *mute*
  17. Master is *very* generous...
  18. Would be difficult for five and half men to play a full eleven to be fair. even if we are generous and say 5 plus whatever is left of Matty James...
  19. Can I get a mute button for Sean mentions on FT? Much easier to get rid of him on Twitter...
  20. Why can’t we afford this guy up front anyway? We should have at least 20m left in the bank from Chilwell transfer, suggests maybe another incoming?
  21. Maybe we will pay them a loan fee substantial enough that they can buy a replacement CB? £5m or so?
  22. The dragging on makes quite a bit more sense now, doesn’t it?
  23. I agree, but if we did initially offer such a deal it may explain why it has been so tricky.
