Yep, the pricing is bizarre, and particularly tone deaf given the economic situation many people are now in. If it was about 5-7 quid a game, they’d get far more people paying you’d imagine. I’m lucky enough not to be struggling as badly as some are now, maybe I’m tight, but I refuse to pay £15 for a single game. I don’t see why it should cost more than a cinema ticket, for example, especially as I already pay a fortune in subscriptions to watch football. It’s in your own home and their are 38 of these events per season, per team. It’s not like it’s a one off thing. If I want 90mins of entertainment I can rent a movie for a fraction of the price then watch match of the day. It’s just not worth that much to me without the match day experience.

Why should it cost 2-5 times more to stream a single premier league game than it does to rent a movie via a streaming service such as Prime/Apple TV? (Needless to say on the likes of Apple TV you also aren’t paying hundreds per year in subscriptions just to earn the right to pay again to rent said movie...)

The sooner the Sky/BT/Amazon racket is over the better, although I understand they aren’t behind this. I’m guessing someone’s done the math on replacing the current sh*t show with a club pass e.g. I pay £25 a month for live coverage of all Leicester games, and concluded this would result in less revenue? It’s obviously far more preferable for the consumer and would likely bring droves back from illegal streams.

It’s been reported in France he is being named in “25 man squad” but didn’t specify it was EL or PL squad... reputable guy saying it though. Obviously he isn’t in the EL squad though, as it has been released.

Slimani is not in the EL squad, so he must be referring to the PL squad here. Either that or he is wrong - but as has been pointed out he does seem to be reliable on Algerian players

Yeah agreed, I think given the timing he is most likely referring to the EL squad. It’s possible we are leaving out some of the injured players for the group stage, maybe even Ricardo?
